Jessica Tuck On Wrapping Up Her Run As GH’s Cassandra: "I Think I’m Going Down!"

This week, General Hospital and longtime One Life to Live fans saw one of the finest actresses to grace daytime screens, Jessica Tuck, make a soapy exit.
Tuck, who came to GH to play drug-trafficking Cassandra who had ties to Valentin (James Patrick Stuat), and was the target of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn’s (Michael Easton) plans to bring her to justice, wound up in serious coma after her nefarious activities. Those included at the end of her reign of terror: holding Anna and Valentin hostage, and drugging poor recovery drug addict, Finn.
One Life to Live fans recall Jessica as Megan Gordon Harrison, whose love story with Jake (Joe Lando), and the character’s eventual death was one of the most heartbreaking in daytime soap history.
On her exit from GH, Tuck told Soap Opera Digest (in the latest issue on newsstands now) about the longevity of playing Cassandra: “I never really knew what her deal was going to be or how long I might be there.” She went on to say, “I was on borrowed time. There was a flurry at the end of the scripts and I said to my family, ‘I think I’m going down. I’m getting really evil and awful.”‘
Jessica expressed to SOD how much she appreciated the opportunity to work on GH, and again with her longtime friend and GH EP, Frank Valentini.
In story: After Finn explains to Anna that while he was drugged, he jumped Cassandra, but had no memory of stabbing her with the needle which rendered her unconscious with a drug overdose, Anna revealed to Finn that he didn’t kill Cassandra, because she was found in an alley and was in critical condition in the ICU at GH. Later, an upset Anna visits Cassandra in the ICU, where it looks like she may do her in herself. However, we are later told the WSB moved Cassandra to a facility and into custody, where she may never recover.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Reveals His Plan to Set Up Chase and Willow to Have an Affair
After the Wednesday, April 29 episode of General Hospital, it’s clear outside interference and other circumstances are set to blow Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage sky high, as Michael (Rory Gibson) reveals his plans to entrap Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and use her relationship with Chase to do it!
In story, Michael dropped by unexpectedly to Carly’s (Laura Wright). A plotting Michael reveals his plan to nudge Willow and Chase into having an affair. Michael hopes it would create both a political and personal scandal, where Willow would lose her seat in congress. In the scenario, she would be having an affair with her ex-husband, while taking care of her supposed disabled husband, Drew (Cameron Mathison), who cannot speak and is confined to a wheelchair, which in turn will look horrible for Willow’s character.
Carly asked does he really want to destroy his cousin, Brook Lynn’s life in the process? Michael goes in on Chase’s holier than thou attitude, and says he is going to set-up the circumstances that would lead Chase and Willow to betray their spouses, and hit the sheets together. Michael swears to Carly what the two of them do is up to them, but he’s going to go on the offense with this.
MICHAEL HAS BACK-UP
Later, Jacinda (Paige Herschell) is talking with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) at Crimson and how much she dislikes Willow because of what she has done to Michael. Just then, Michael shows up and tells Jacinda privately, he’s figured out a way to fight Willow. Looks like Jacinda might work with Michael to bring down Willow and use Chase as the person to do it!
At the hospital, Lucas (Van Hansis) tells Josslyn (Eden McCoy) that Carly is cheating on Jack, but he doesn’t know with who. Josslyn suddenly flashes back to the moment she found her mother harboring a fugitive, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), in her attic, and as figured out that her mother is sleeping with him. She heads out.

BRENNAN IS ABOUT TO LEARN ABOUT CARLY
Next thing you know, Josslyn has showed up inside Jack’s (Chris McKenna) hotel room at the Metro Court and when he enters his room, he is shocked to find her there. He lays into her for not keeping his distance and that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) will have no problem killing her if he knows she’s WSB. Josslyn fires back that he is only concerned about that because his relationship with her mother depends on her being safe. But then, she lays the boom, and tells Jack, Well, you’re too late. You already lost her.”
LULU GETS A GLIMPSE OF CASSIUS’ TEMPER
In addition, Lulu (Alexa Havins) sees a different side of “Nathan.” Since she is unaware that the man before her is his twin, Cassius Fasion (Ryan Paevey), he tells her that Rocco (Finn Carr) blabbed that he shot Cullum to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and now he thinks they should send him away to stop him from talking to everyone else. This concerns Lulu, who rails at Nathan for telling her what to do with her son and that she isn’t going to abandon him. With “Nathan’s” outburst at her on the matter, will she finally get a clue this is not the man she thinks it is?

There is new evil in town and it was Cassandra….she could easily take over for Helene Cassidine!!!!….So who is Faison’s other son…if older than Nathan i hope its Finn…can you imagine Anna’s reaction that she is falling in love with Faison’s SON!!!!
I think Faison’s other son is Peter Wells. The new COO of Aurora Media. He pushed Lulu hard to get her to do a story in Faison, why?????

Exactly, Jimh! Cassandra perfectly fulfilled the role of icy “b*+@# goddess” that Port Charles has so sorely needed since Helena’s hasty departure. I really adored her cool and classy demeanor and thought that her arrival brought with it such a panoply of prospective plot possibilities, including the tantalizing notion that this lethal lady was, in fact, a bonafide Cassadine! In the near future, I truly hope that Cassandra indeed emerges from her supposedly hopeless coma and returns with a vengeance, ready and refreshed for a new nefarious caper, perhaps one that doesn’t include the scourge of drugs attached to it! Just as I have oft repeated in reference to Britt, my sentiments regarding the crafty Cassandra can be summed up with the singular request of “Bring her back!”

Faison’s other son is obviously Peter. The last name of August is a clue. In the manuscript, the son is listed as Octavius, which was another name for the Roman emperor Augustus.
Now, as for who Peter’s mother is… since he is a publisher, let’s assume that runs in the family, and mom is actually Quinn (Jennifer Bassey’s character).

She would need to be Helena’s daughter (not by Mikkos as that would make her previous affair with Valentin incestuous). Thus, not a Cassadine
Perhaps Petros Cassadine is Cassandra’s father! Remember him? He was Mikkos’ meek lookalike cousin who turned up in Port Chuck after the Ice Princess debacle. That would make Valentin and Ms. Pearce more distantly related.. albeit still incestuously joined in the biblical sense, but, hey, given this crazy clan, anything is possible!
She would still be a Cassadine heir, which Helena would have made sure of. Too young to be a re-cast. But very convincing bloodline. Probably grew up with Helena in some fashion. Ergo, the personality. We need Jessica!!
She looks like the actress that plays Helena, Constance Towers. I’m sure they thought of recasting Helena, but since Constance recently appeared in flashbacks, they didn’t want to disrespect her. I think they have too many older actress villains on the show. Why not have more nice older ladies, or at least give Monica more screen time?
Recast Helena? Constance happily shows up whenever the show asks. She can still appear in flashbacks.
Monica is now on more than many contract players, so that’s a good start. They should keep Lesley in PC, too.
Agree there. Jessica Tuck, when in OLTL, I see remember her dying days. I cried so much. I will never forget that day when she passed with Jake by her side. I wish she would have continued at GH for a longer time.

That would have been great! But they made her too evil. Her run was too short–and, unfortunately, the character was not fleshed out nor given shades of gray. Too bad!

It would have been great to see her paired with James’ character, specifically since they both play on OLTL (along with Roger Howarth – Franco).
I’m with you, Nancy. Such a powerful actress could have been given a character with more shading, not just an uncomfortable mix of horny and evil. At least Liesl has had the chance to grow beyond just gorgon status.

Agree! I like the idea of her perhaps being related to Helena and continuing and her reign of terror for a long time to come! She really is too good an actress to lose and her character presents a myriad of possible storylines.
I share your enthusiasm for GH’s best villainess since Helena supposedly slipped off this mortal coil!!!! Hopefully, both shall soon make a triumphant return to Port Charles and be revealed as mother and daughter! Until then, Dr. O. will simply have to assume the heavy-lifting in the “evil-doing femme” category! I trust she is the right lady for the job and will do so with her usual unapologetic aplomb!!!!!

Okay, so, Cassandra will wake up from her coma a different person. Perhaps she had a tumor, LOL, and whatever trauma she experienced, dissolved it? Hey, it’s a soap; where black is white and vice versa.
….That way, we will have a brand new, revised edition of the character.

What hoping Cassandra turned out to be Helena Cassidines long lost daughter. That would have been a really cool twist. Will definitely miss Jessica, loved her on One Life to Live love her on General Hospital.

I am glad she is gone. I have watched general hospital for 38 yrs. This show is not one life to live. It was canceked for reasons. General hospital needs to work on bringing back the original roots. Cassadines, Quartermaines, Spencers, Corrinthos, and the mob. Bring back Nickolas. Tyler Christopher.
@Sara….I absolutely share your disdain for the overabundance of OLTL alumni who have materialized in Port Charles through the years….most of their introductions have been stunt castings or downright unnecessary characters that added little to the GH canvas. However, I do feel that Cassandra was a truly different creature….she could have been a superb long-term evillainess in the mold of Helena, and given Jessica Tuck’s uncanny physical likeness to the incomparable Constance Towers, would have made a most convincing offspring of the Ice Queen herself! Oh, what I wouldn’t give to see those two return to town as the mother-daughter duo from H#!!.
Yes, she was playing a good role in being the bad guy. Trying to mess with Nina husband and daughter. Somehow someway they should of drag it out a little more and I would of like it if she would.of got caught at the plant where she was making the drugs. She had the upper hand with Finn cause his vision was bluer. She did a excellent job in her role. nice
I was really hoping Cassandra would go full-tilt psycho and bump off the useless Nina in an attempt to recapture Valentin for herself! Now THAT would have been fun! She also would’ve made a great bedmate for Julian…especially when the green-eyed monster that is Alexis reactively emerged! And if Cassandra did indeed prove to be Helena’s daughter— as many of us have surmised—how utterly moreish it would have been for her own offspring to kill the spawn of the woman Helena herself murdered…and with the same dagger??? Oh, that would have been toooo poetic!
I love Jessica Tuck (Megan Gordon) I just struggled with the story line.
Having loved ones struggling with addiction is heart breaking, I guess watching the real villains of drugs (the sellers) profit from what they take from families, just hurts so much!
Do what soaps do best, find a way to bring this superb actress back to the canvas, but perhaps not as Cassandra, or… a Cassandra that has seen the light!

I’m hoping that she will be revealed to be Helenas daughter by Raison, good the way she was “killed” off, Helena, too always disappearing before her death could be confirmed, only to rise once more!!!!

I’ve always enjoyed Ms Tuck when she plays the ‘baddie’ on any soap. She does it with such an innocent look when she is playing the role until she is found out and then she can switch instantly into the most ‘evil Queen’ persona right before everyone’s eyes! Always such a pleasure to watch her! I’m so sorry she will be exiting the GH canvas! I was hoping the show and the writers would be using her as the ‘new’ evil troublemaker — like the former matriarch of the Cassidine family. GH needs to have that recurring ‘evil’ character to add tension to my favorite soap. And Ms Tuck plays that role with such grace until she reveals her evil heart when she really shines in this role! Surely GH writers can pull one of their famous ‘not really dead’ storylines and keep her on the canvas to continually be stirring up trouble for all the ‘saints’ on GH! Maybe she could cause trouble for Elizabeth and her children (especially Jake), or Lulu and her children. Please GH! Keep Ms Tuck on as the new evil matriarch on GH!

I agree with su0000…she is the female version of Faison and will be back to wreak havoc on all those that crossed her. The only thing I wish GH did when they brought Jessica on, was to make her a long term character. ..she’s a great actress. Do I see another “twin” somewhere down the line
So happy to see her go. There is enough evil in Port Charles without adding more. She did the part justice but she’s not a long term character.
I didnt like this storyline and am glad it has come to an end. She could never replace the evil Helena as a villaness.
I loved seeing Jessica again. She did a wonderful job as Cassandra. I hope they will bring her back. GH needs a villain, she was filling Helenas shoes nicely.

I was a huge OLTL fan. OLTL Had some great characters and actors and I do miss them. That being said Gh also has great actors & characters that we barely see as it. GH cast keeps growing and we see less & less of our vets. Gh needs to focus on its own cast. We dont need new faces GH fans want to see more of our old crew, Spin, Epiphany,Max, Milo, Mac, TJ, Molly, not to mention we never see the kids. I love Jessica but would so love to see GH ‘s actors that have been put on recurring more.
I did not care for her character. She brought little to General Hospital. The story line was not necessary other to to bring Anna and Finn closer.
With her being in a coma she can alwaYs awake I mean they come b@ck from the dead. Yes she was rmtoo too evil but they could make her Hele as long lost dauvhter. She was great but i muat say she was superb as Vicky Lord$ daughter and finding out she haxd Lupus than dying from the disease was heartwrenching especially for me as a out the same time my brother passed away from Lupus.

Should have kept her on longer. She was a good actress. I like Sunny he is getting boring. Cassandra would have been a perfect fit for GH.

I really enjoyed seeing Jessica Tuck back on screen. I agree with an earlier comment about giving her some air time with James DePaiva. For us OLTL fans it would be fun to watch. Tuck did an excellent job playing the villain. Her final scenes with Finn were great. She could totally be the next generation Helena.
Absolutely non-redeemable character. She sold poison & threatened children. Even Val the Bastard couldn’t stand her.
That pretty much guarantees a lack of longevity for such a character. Jessica did a good job portraying her, but that doesn’t mean she should stick around.
Of course this is Port Charles, so she could always have a NOT evil twin pop up, right?

She had a lot of potential, but they kind of cut her character short, made her too evil too fast. It was shame, because I thought she had real potential to be the new Helena. But nice work, Ms. Tuck!

Well, a depraved serial killer being the son of a treasonous psycho terrorist like Faison would certainly make more sense than him being the son of Scott Baldwin – a somewhat sleazy lawyer (who will feel right at home here in Hell) but hardly one to pass on a lunatic gene.
But the last thing they need to do is put Frodd at the center of yet another storyline. He was the stinking pile of dragonshit that messed up the otherwise well done return of Jason.
And I’m not sure that even Faison would have put up with Heather.

Its about time a woman was portrayed in organized crime. Drugs and sex trafficking is full of women. GH needs to really keep this story and a female organized crime boss.. A Great rivalry for sonny and jason.

I really didn’t get her storyline. She seemed to be a little to comfy in Port Charles with her hoity-toity attitude. No offense, glad she has made an exit. So when is Morgan coming back ? And…..can we get rid of Nelle and get Michael someone to love for real???
Morgan will be back just in time for the May sweeps. Bet your soul on it! (It’s not gonna happen in February, because they’re obviously making that all about Faison)

I’ve seen two good scenes that make me want her more
1. that metro court scene with Jessica Tuck and Michelle Stafford… hair pull and which woman on top. that was full on REEL. that was just the tip of the iceberg .
are we going to say coulda woulda shoulda … is she going to relapse and coma out?
2. that scene with HER @ Michael Easton. when she read him the riot act.. about him and Anna going down. just prior to her blowing all that fairy dust in his face and he was rendered motionless and should have been given MORE DRUGS … because we dont’ need him. he’s uninteresting… always has been .
is this the case of coulda woulda shoulda ? I am just getting intrigued and , wallah, the writers quashed this way too soon
ALL FOR THE heroics and bash in the head each audience member.. that they simply must fall in love with the forced pairing of Anna and Finn.

I liked her but I willing want Sam and Jason back together I don’t like seeing Sam with Drew they are not right together so when is Jason and Sam getting back together. I hope it is soon.
