GH gets shaded. Why? What about Katelyn MacMullen [Willow] Nicholas Chavez [Spencer] Sofia Mattson [Sasha] or Eden McCoy [Joss]? And over at Y&R, Eric Braeden deserves the nomination but so does Melody Thomas [Nikki], Colleen Zenk [Jordan] or Hayley Erin Feil. [Claire] The three Y&R ladies may have to wait until next year. They are terrific! And one nomination that is BS. Bryton James. [Devon] WHAT has he done this past year to deserve a nomination? What?

This would not follow under the time line bextvyear

NIcholas Chavez has moved on from soaps and probably didn’t submit. Katelyn is lovely but not in the same league as Eden McCoy, at least not with the material she had in 2023. Sofia didn’t have the chance to show much range in 2023 either, she was stuck in victim mode most of the year thanks to the writing. Agree on Bryton James, though. Odd that he was nominated.

The lack of GH acting nominees is quite noticeable. And two that were on the list are questionable. How is Mills eligible two years in a row for “guest”? Shouldn’t she have been in the supporting category? Gossett won last year (with scenes that featured Sonya Eddy). What storyline did Marshall really have in ‘23 that warranted a nomination over Jon Lindstrom or Jeff Kober?

And finally, Kathleen Gati will never the accolades she deserves for turning a farcical one-week villain role into an enduring 10 year memorable supporting character.

Agree with you OG Steve.

Oh, come on.. Katherine Kelly Lang??
She is the worst daytime actress ever. Her one tear falling and whining are not acting!

lol bb is still trying to buy a Emmy what a joke and TK is not ridge worst recast eber

I am happiest about CYNTHIA WATROS and MIKE MANNING!!!! Rooting hard for those two.

Very disappointed in teh poor showing for GH. Some really bad choices, shocking snubs (unless they didn’t submit), and I just don’t get why they like Scott Clifton, Thorsten Kaye, Robert Gossett and Bryton James so darn much….

Not a great year nominations wise and the only way they can make up for it is by giving Emmys to Cynthia and Mike!!!!

I am very happy for Cynthia Watros — I believe she will win. Finola, is right up there with her…
I hope Cynthia wins, and if not, Finola.

Where the F is Ari Zucker?

She was busy suing Days of Our Lives.

Indeed, she did! She’s bold and brave for suing DOOL. Her body of work this past year deserved recognition.

Hard to get nominated when the show you were on doesn’t push for you.

Actually, Ari Zucker doesn’t need DAYS to push for her, nor did I expect them to do so. Many actors submit on their accord. Ari had fantastic material this past year and she…as always, killed it.

I’m shocked that GH got zero nominations in the Supporting Actress category, and that Robert Gossett. who won last year, was the only Supporting Actor nominee. I thought for sure Jon Lindstrom would have been there in what was most likely his last great chance to finally win, with Ryan meeting his demise. James Patrick Stuart, Jeff Kober, Gregory Harrison, Charles Shaughnessy, among others, are some of the other deserving names I thought I might see in that category. And zero for Supporting Actress.

GH has had more than its share of winners in recent years, so I really can’t complain too much. But when you watch the show every day and expect to see certain names that you know did Emmy quality work, and they don’t make the list, it’s very puzzling and disappointing.

But congrats to all the nominees. I’ll be rooting for Finola and Cynthia for Lead Actress.

Jon Lindstrom should definitely have been nominated!!!

Why is the Neighbors included? It’s not even an American soap opera.

Congratulations to all of the nominees. This past year, I became a hug fan of General Hospital. While watching the show, it seems like an embarrassment of riches with all of the great actresses on the show. Finola, Cynthia, Laura, Genie, Maura and Eden have really stood out for me. I am not sure when the nomination period ended, but it feels like a snub for Genie not to be nominated. Also, does the committee have a beef with Melody Thomas Scott? She has been through every storyline possible, and never a winner. I don’t like they took away the Young Leading Actor/Actress category, which would have been a shoo-in for Eden and Nicholas.

My vote for Best Actress goes to Finola and I would love to know if she submitted the scenes where she found out about Valentin knowing it was Charlotte being her stalker.

Finola had to have submitted the great scene in the stairwell when she confronts Valentin. With the old parameters both Eden and Nicholas had aged out of the younger performer category. Scarlett Fernandez (Charlotte) would’ve been hard to beat in that category.

I have no direct knowledge but there’s been rumors about someone being a bit difficult to work with which may be why that performer doesn’t get nominated.

Ray, glad to have you as a fellow huge fan of GH!

The nomination period is the entire calendar year 2023, so Jan 1st to Dec 31st.

Genie has never gotten the accolades she deserves. She’s only been nominated four times in her career, and one of those was when she was on Y&R. Her only win was for a 6 week storyline arc in 2006 when she returned and Laura came out of her catatonic state long enough to get “re-married” to Luke to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Luke and Laura wedding. She’s one of the best to ever do it in daytime, and should easily have at least a couple Emmys by now.

I’m with you on Finola. I think she did some of the best work she’s done in a while last year with the Charlotte shooting, and some of the incredibly intense scenes with James Patrick Stuart. Would love see her win again after 33 years since the last time!

Willow was a large part of gh last year! Gregory Harrison, Jon Lindstrom,

There are a few upsets that I’m not going to talk about here, I’ll only say that I’m pulling for Dick Van Dyke to win Guest Performer and Valerie Bertinelli to bring home the Gold in her Categories.

I now know how other people must feel when their favorites don’t get a nom and they feel robbed. That’s how I feel this year. With all the outstanding performances at GH this past year, It boggles my mind how so many were not nominated.

However, spread the love and congratulations to those who were nominated from all soaps! But watch out! GH is better than ever and the 2025 Emmys are theirs. (Fun ribbing intended, though I mean it.)

Congratulations to to the nominees but where the hell is Arianne Zuker, Melody Thomas Scott, Colleen Zenk and Hayley Erin?????????

Once again MTS, performance is ignored by whom????She gave the best performance of the year, people!!!You knuckle heads!!!!Enough is enough!!!The actors on GH all the leading women evolve around that crime guy, they are all boring!!!and they continue to call that whining and fighting, acting??Also, who the hell watches The Bay??and a show from Australia??
