ABC Previews General Hospital’s Halloween Episode

By Michael Fairman

Fight Night will definitely have an impact on the lives of the citizens of Port Charles, on the upcoming Thursday, October 29th episode of the ABC daytime drama series.

Announced by ABC today, along with primetime’s Dancing with the Stars, The Conners, Supermarket Sweep, and America’s Funniest Home Videos, GH is having some ghoulish goings-on for the trick or treat holiday.

According to the GH preview: “As an impending storm approaches Port Charles, Trina and Joss decide to meet up with Cameron and Dev at Charlies before heading off to a Halloween party for the night. Unbeknownst to them, Julian notices the kids are being watched a little too closely by a masked individual. Uneasy and unable to shake the feeling that something is off, Julian confronts the man. Meanwhile, Carly is stunned when Cyrus brings a familiar acquaintance to dinner at the Metro Court. And elsewhere, Finn and Anna’s plans to take Violet trick-or-treating are hampered when Finn is called back to GH, leaving Anna alone, unaware that a particularly evil threat awaits her.”

So, excited to see what goes down on Halloween on GH? Comment below.

GH likes to repeat certain gimmicks constantly. Previously we have seen thought to be dead people like AJ & Nikolas show up in a mask and mingle around the crowd for a while before their identity is confirmed. Now the logical return for somebody we all know ain’t dead would be Morgan Corinthos. But Morgan following the teenagers around wouldn’t make much sense. Yeah Joss is his little sister, but still not likely.

That being the case, it’s probably Taggart. We already knew he wasn’t dead, but so far the only citizens of Port Charles who know this are Jordan, Jason, Sonny, and Epiphany, so it would still be a “shocking” reveal for the rest of the population. Especially Trina.

And the threat to Anna? Obviously her evil twin Alex is back. This has been hinted at for a few weeks now.

It will sure serve Peter/Heinrich right if Alex does indeed turn out to be his Mutter!

BWAA! for sure it’s la low-key spooky drama
No- Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees. lol

1– Is Taggart in custom out to see/watch his daughter.
2– Anna = Alex back = BOO0!
3- Morgan appears ..

GH is always very predictable..
Never a surprise/Shocker 🙁

Nothing is a surprise because of spoilers! Think how it was back in the 90s and earlier. You didn’t read about everything that is going to happen.

You could be right about Taggart watching but it could also be Nelle getting ready for her funeral, thanks to Nina. So sick of these Soap Opera coroners that can’t identify a body correctly. I’ve seen enough on other shows that a body has so many ways to be identified, why can’t they get it right here?

Hi Violet –
Not being dead has become a mainstay of soaps..
Even if cremated they will return lol
Soap characters are immortal.
I’m enjoying the soap Dark Shadows running the series
on Decades network..
The dead coming alive in Dark Shadows is cool .. lol
Yup- without a doubt Nelle will be back.
Nina is looking like a nut-case- she is messed up in the head.
Nelle is one of those characters that will never die even if dead.
Morgan is back the dead, also.
000oh Morgans grave where many went to cry out a gave scene even tho there is not even a body/Morgan in that empty grave.
They are crying over dirt to a stone LOL
CRAZY STUFF!!

SuOOO
Hi, I remember when Dark Shadows was on so many years ago but I had so many Soaps to watch all day, I couldn’t seem to fit it in. I am talking about the original one in 1966, had to look it up. I didn’t know there were subsequent shows and a movie after that. Back in the first one was an actor David Selby whom I fell in love with when he went on to play in Falcon Crest which had so many wonderful actors. Iam sure you are too young to know this and the old D.S. So glad you are enjoying what you describe to be the original one. Nina isn’t the only nut case these days. What’s going on with Carly? Is she thinking of when she was trying to hold on to Nelle’s hand at the cliff and let her go? If Nelle is still alive I bet she’ll be back to haunt everyone on Halloween. Didn’t you love how she knocked over the styrofoam gravestone?

I was actually expecting “Nelle” to be cremated by the “Pennsylvania side of the river” authorities because nobody from Port Charles ever turned up to identify/claim the body. I can’t believe there’s actually a body now buried in that tiny little Port Charles cemetery and nobody has bothered to check whether or not it was actually Nelle (obviously it isn’t.)

Chase is supposed to be this super smart cop, who actually knew Nelle longer than anybody else in town. You would think he would have wanted to make damned sure she was dead. Guess he’s too preoccupied with his ex-girlfriend, his cokehead pretend girlfriend, BrookLynn sleeping on his couch and his mom suddenly appearing out of thin air.

Who’s actually in the grave? Probably that poor woman who stopped to help Nelle when she had car trouble on the way to the cabin. I’m guessing Nelle ran into her again when she was trying to get away, killed the woman and stole her car.

Hey again, Violet!
I think the one that SHOULD show up is Laura–where IS that girl? 🙂

they need to have morgan to come back and get who almost killed him .

Well Nell Show up…Trick or Treat_Nell gotta be somehow connected to Morgan;s return…once Nina and Nelle find s out they are mom and daughter i will be done with both GH and Days and Y&R(i watch occasionally) and leaving this sight for good!!!!

Hi, Jimmy—-I like it—Nelle, the vampire. I vant to suck yer blaaad!!—or the good twin showing up—I named her Belle. LOL—-or Beau ( male name). Happy Halloween.

Every day in Port Charles is Halloween. It’s just awful. Poor Kim Delaney, helping to prop up Laura Wright’s boyfriend. UGH.

I love your post, DMRR–so true!! Bring in the Pagliacci—that’s how theatrical GH has become lately—Leoncavallo’s Opera to perfection… in a sad way!!
The Boyfriend—Hmmmm. Nothing endearing about this character. He’s a prop—arms and legs and no personality. Just a caricature.
Speaking of creepy? Cyrus is no gift, either— one would think that in this day and age—and, more pointedly, considering he is on national TV, this actor would see a dentist. WOW!!—that’s one major thing which completely turns a body off.

Evil threat for Anna? She is her own evil threat by being in perpetual denial, where Peter is concerned. She’s actually harboring a criminal.
I have intimated, time and again, that Alex is Peter’s mother. I suspect Dimitri is the father, not Cesar. What could possibly wake GH up from its stupor, would be a far-fetched plot—-that is, age Charlotte ( named after meany aunt Charlotte Devane) and make her Anna’s and Valentin’s daughter—He idolized Anna back in the day, after-all.
Yes, sounds nuts—but, it’s Halloween and crazier stories have lived in PC for decades. TPTB will think of something. The baby Claudette carried is not the real Charlotte—the writers can work out the details. I can’t think of everything.
Oh, yeah—Alex should show up dressed in the same costume as Anna’s—and, spill all.
Anyway—–If Peter is not Dimitri’s son, and indeed, Cesar’s, then Alex must have “posed” as Anna at some point.—-this all goes back to AMC –I liked both Anna and Alex; as different as they may have been— Anna, on GH is not the same person—furthermore, she is alienating herself from the character more and more. I do not like this Anna.

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Published

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
