Last week on the August 30th episode of General Hospital, marked the end of the run of Adam J. Harrington as FBI agent John “Jagger” Cates after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) shot two bullets into Cates’ chest.

Now, Adam will talk exclusively about his time on the ABC soap opera playing the once seemingly upstanding good guy who’s obsession with bringing down Sonny, saw him going down a very dark and twisted path, when he visits You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel for a special conversation on Thursday, September 5th beginning at 7PM ET/4PM PT.

While Adam, may be gone from the show, Cates’ presence will still be felt from the great beyond, as Sonny cover his tracks while others wanted the guy dead.  Over the Labor Day weekend, Adam thanked GH’s cast, crew and creatives as well as the fans for going on the ride with him. Harrington first debuted as recast “Jagger” back in February of this year. (The role was originally played by Antonio Sabato Jr.)

Harrington expressed on X, “To the General Hospital viewers and fans. It’s been a honor being in your world, and feeling your passion. To those who have written a goodbye, I’ve read every word and I’m deeply humbled. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Until we meet again … Adam.”

In addition to his time on GH, Adam (pictured above with GH director, Tina Keller, and Evan Hofer) will chat on some of his other television and motion pictures work including roles in: The Lincoln Lawyer, Bosch, Palm Royale, Supernatural. Station 19, S.W.A.T. The Rookie, Dirty John and more.  As voice-over talent, Harrington has also received a BAFTA nomination for Performer in a Supporting Role for the character of Sindri in the popular video game God of War Ragnarök.

Don’t miss this opportunity to ask some of your burning questions to Adam and join us in the live chat. If you can’t be with us live this Thursday, feel free to drop a question you potentially want posed in the comment section below, and we just might ask it during the conversation.

I’m disappointed they killed him off. Great looking guy and I was impressed with his acting. He would have made a great love interest for Nina or Lois…

And what happened to the autistic son he mentioned he had? Was this story slated to go one way and change direction when doom and gloom Van Etten returned?

In the beginning, I thought Adam was a great addition to the cast. My issue was that it is hard to think of him being Jagger when the original looked vastly different and was of Italian/American descent. I think most people would agree he would have made a great recast for Jax. He had great chemistry with Carly. I also hated the way he barged into every room and made ridiculous demands.

Adam is a talented actor who was given a character that the writers didn’t know what to do with, so they chose to butcher the character, if he would of been playing another character with the same sonny issues then he would of been a great villain, however the show chose to make him a character that most of us remember not even being close to what we saw on screen, The show this year has been hit an miss both with storylines and returns and actors being let go. It’s really hard as a fan to enjoy a returning character when others are being let go. I love this show but damn this year its giving me a lot of anxiety and its hard to enjoy it.

My question probably isn’t allowed, but what the hell happened? You are Maura West had amazing chemistry and Java could’ve been huge. The sharp storyline change was probably do to the head writer changeup, I am guessing? This was a major mistake on the show’s part. Gonna miss you.

I have enjoyed watching Adam on GH. He will be missed. I would like to know if there was anyone on the show that he wished he could have had scenes with?

Would Adam be up to doing another soap?

I don’t see my question, so I’ll ask again: which is easier- voice over or tv & movie acting? When you came on GH, it was a fresh change, but the direction the writers took Jagger’s character really was a different parallel and I’m glad you were on the show. You are absolute gem. You will definitely be missed.

Would Adam be up for playing a different character on GH?

Was he surprised at the passion of the fans, whether they loved Jagger or hated him, for a soap that’s been on 61 years? I wish they had cast him as Jax or a new character with a longer contract.

When were you informed of the decision to kill Jagger? Was it in the works for a while or did it happen abruptly after the latest change in head writers?

If you had your choice of any role what type of character would you most like to play and would it be in film, a series etc….?

Any chance GH is letting you come back as a different character? Maybe Jax lol. You have amazing acting skills your very captivating to watch. If there’s no chance of return, will you be returning to the screens on a different show?

Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
