I wish her well on “Tainted Dreams.” She will be missed on AMC, but you never know what the future holds. Maybe one day she’ll be back.

ill always wonder now if ABC hadnt moved AMC from New York to California if PP wouldve been able to convince some of AMCs other former stars to join the reboot like they have with OLTL, that didnt make the move, and has a better selection of its vets. I dont mind cameos, and AMC is getting back some faves of mine for longer stays like Dixie, David, Brooke, Angie and Jessie and hopefully some new favorites will interest me but OLTL feels more like the serial i remember than AMC does. However, im still giving both equal chances to renew my interest in them but if not i still hope they both succeed.

I couldnt watch the video…for some reason they sometimes work and some dont.

I think it’s great that Alicia has other projects going on.
She was very good in the role of Kendall Hart, but I still think (I’ve said this before)
that if the writers feel that Kendall is a key character in Pine Valley, they should
consider a recast – that is strictly my opinion. If they feel they want to “write around”
her until Alicia becomes available, that’s fine too.
As for Susan Lucci, who of course plays her mom, Erica Kane, if she can’t come back,
write around her or write Erica out of the show for a while, she could be chasing Jack out on the West Coast or in Europe, who knows.
I wonder if other fans are getting as weary as I am of hearing these “who can’t come back right now” stories. I’m a LONG time fan of the show (longer than I should admit)
but hey, there are Casting Agents and actors dying for work. I am sure there are a thousand pretty Brunette actresses who could play Kendall.

Totally agree! They should recast the role of Kendall Hart….Alicia was a recast. It took me a while to warm up to her, because I was a huge Sarah Michelle Gellar fan, but I eventually caved and began to enjoy Alicia’s portrayal of the character. They could easily find someone to take on this role. Quit treating this actors like they are irreplaceable…..She will be missed, but soap fans have always been resilient, and we will move on and accept a new actress in this role.

Great fun interview. I’m so excited about Tainted Dreams and can’t wait until it airs. I love the theme of “behind the scenes at a soap” and knowing the story is written by Sonia makes it even more exciting because it will be realistic. I can’t wait to see Alicia Minshew in that role and I hear there are other great actors on board too, i.e., Austin Peck and Walt Willey.

I am an AMC fan and will miss Kendall, but right now I’m more excited about Tainted Dreams. Can’t wait.

I’m very happy for Alicia and looking forward to Tainted Dreams. And I most definitely want her back on AMC as Kendall Hart Slater! She is Kendall.

I’m still hopeful we’ll see Alicia on AMC. I get the feeling she still feels attached to the role of Kendall and AMC seems to want her on the show, too. In the meantime, I wish her well on her new projects. It’s great to see her so busy, happy and looking amazing.

Great interview with Alicia and Sonia. I am happy for Alicia, she has so many projects in front of her. Can’t wait to see her in Tainted Dreams. Maybe with Sonia, a producer at AMC and creator of Tainted Dreams, she can work it out so that Alicia can appear again in AMC while doing Tainted Dreams.

anxioulsy awaiting the debut of tainted dreams. will be wonderful to see so many of my favorite daytime actors on screen again.

I liked Alicia in AMC and I’m glad to see her in Tainted Dream. Sonia is a talented director with great vision so I am happy and excited for TD.

I hate to agree, but I do. I wonder if AMC is successful on line, how many of the hold outs would ask to come back? I say they should focus on the cast they have and make AMC a greatshow.

I was wondering if there will be any vampires on the webs Tainted Dreams? Tainted Dreams was the title for Port Charles vampire story that was on years ago and its theme was the song by the same name, so i wonder if there will be a connection or was the vampire stuff finished on GH? Im joking…

God im stupid it was tainted love!!! I new that wasnt it and i let my friend convince me otherwise…thanks d.j.j. im going to bite you for messing me up here! lol

Enjoyed the interview and am really looking forward to Tainted Dreams.I love the concept of the show and with all the talented cast on board…and with Sonia running it,,,I see a winner!

So excited for tainted dreams. Sonia is going to do fabulous. Alicia is going to be awesome as always.

I like the idea of going behind the scenes of a soap and the soap-in-a-soap concept. I’m looking forward to watching Tainted Dreams. I think Alicia Minshew will be great as the “Sonia” of the show. It sounds like Sonia knows what she is talking about when it comes to soaps and is proud to be working on them. This sounds like a great series.

Thanks for posting the interview.

Thanks for this, Michael! SO excited for Tainted Dreams. Such a great collaboration of talent and professionals that love the soap genre.

Looking forward for this project to take off!

I love Alicia Minishew’s acting. I miss her so much on AMC. I wish her the best.

Mark Consuelos Celebrates One-Year Anniversary as Co-Host of ‘Live’ Alongside Kelly Ripa

Today, April 17th marks a full-year since Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, All My Children) took over the co-hosting duties of ‘Live” alongside his wife, and longtime co-host, Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, All My Children).

Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest who are six seasons decided to be back on the west coast full-time. For Consuelos, now having the opportunity to work off of Ripa as co-hosts has been something of adjustment for him, but viewers have been eating it up.

Live with Kelly and Mark has remained the No. 1 entertainment talk show on television over the past year, growing 3% in average total viewers to 2.23M per episode.  It is also the most-watched daytime talk show in the last year in key demos of women 18-49 and women 25-54. All of this, since the real-life marrieds teamed-up.

Speaking with Deadline, Kelly Ripa shared why the two are gelling on-screen, “I do think that there is something very possibly relatable about our relationship. We have disagreements like a normal couple, and we’re not afraid to let them unfold on the air and in front of America, and I think people find a lot of themselves in that.”

Mark weighed in how he has progressed as a host, and what he could improve at, sharing, “I’d like to get better at my interviewing skills. I’d like to get better at reading a teleprompter…I think I’m getting better at throwing to commercial. The other day in the middle of the show as we go to commercial, my sign off was ‘See you guys around.’ I mean, the show wasn’t over. The most obvious thing to say would be, ‘We’ll be back right after this.’ But I just said, ‘See you around.’ So we went to commercial and one of the producers (goes) ‘What was that?’ I don’t know… So for the next few sign offs, as a joke, I’d say ‘See you around.’ We got a kick out of it.”

Meanwhile, Kelly has given huge props to Mark, “I find Mark utterly compelling, really interesting, super funny, and he’s bold in a way like nobody else. He says what’s on his mind. If he’s thinking it, he says it.  I’ve done this a long time and oftentimes people will adjust their natural personalities to pander to what they think the audience wants to hear, and Mark will tell people what he thinks, and he doesn’t care if it’s not a popular opinion. It gives him an edginess that I think is really missing in the landscape today. Everybody’s so afraid to say anything, and Mark is unafraid to say exactly what he’s thinking.”

In a statement, Debra O’Connell, President News Group and Networks, Disney Entertainment shared, We could not be more thrilled with how Mark has seamlessly joined the show family as permanent co-host. His undeniable charisma and his and Kelly’s natural chemistry are evident as they deliver the laughs and smiles to our viewers each morning. We are incredibly proud of how Live has continued to evolve and that the audience is responding so enthusiastically.”

So, do you think Mark Consuelos is the best co-host his wife Kelly Ripa has ever had on ‘Live’? How would you say he is doing as co-host after one full year on the job? Comment below.
