All My Children's Fourth New Episode! David Reveals What Happened The Night JR Fired The Gunshot!

Courtesy/TOLN
In today’s fourth new episode of Prospect Park’s All My Children on Hulu and iTunes, fans got confirmation of what they have suspected during the lead-up to the relaunch of AMC and all the teaser previews!
David (Vincent Irizarry), who finally made his way back to Pine Valley from prison, is the man responsible for the person who has been in the coma! That man, is JR Chandler (Ryan Bittle)! In new scenes recreating the finale cliffhanger on ABC’s All My Children, viewers learn that JR shot Marissa as David tussled with him for the gun, and then David shot JR! Kudos to Vincent Irizarry as well for today’s performance as Dr. Evil!
In another critical scene, Bianca (Eden Riegel) visited the gravesite of Marissa Tasker, the woman she was in love with, before JR’s gunshot, who of course happened to also be David’s daughter! Angie (Debbi Morgan) tells Jessie (Darnell Williams) and Zach (Thorsten Kaye) about her part in David’s return to Pine Valley as the men try to figure out where Cassandra disappeared too, without letting Angie on to what is going on.
David also is in pivotal scenes with Cara (Lindsay Hartley), where he learns that she miscarried their baby! A grief-stricken David happens upon JR’s hospital room and thinks about killing him! Meanwhile, Cara has an exchange with her brother, Griffin (Jordi Vilasuso), that David must never find out what really happened to the baby! What do you think happened?
Finally, Miranda (Denyse Tontz) got mixed up in an almost, sort of, kind of three-way with “the boy of her dreams” Hunter (Daniel Colvin), which ended up with a twist! It was AJ (Eric Nelsen) to the rescue who plummeted Hunter! Elsewhere, Pete (Rob Scott Wilson) and Celia (Jordan Lane Price) continued their romantic overtures towards one another!
Now below, watch the fourth episode of AMC, and remember it’s now cliffhanger Thursday for the TOLN soaps because the next all-new episode airs Monday! What was your favorite part of today’s episode? Where you surprised by the reveals? Let us know!

‘All My Children’ Movie Writers for Lifetime Revealed: Ron Carlivati, Jamey Giddens and Leo Richardson

This week began and as reported with a spotlight article on Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos and how their production entity, Milojo, has been teeing up the All My Children reboot with Lifetime.
The L.A. Times featured the married couple, co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark, and former All My Children cast members (where they met and fell in love) about their plans to bring two All My Children movies to Lifetime and how they are working with the Agnes Nixon estate to make it come to fruition,
On Wednesday, it was revealed by Daytime Confidential, that All My Children reboot producer, Andrew Stearn handpicked none other than Ron Carlivati (ex-head writer, One Life to Live, General Hospital and Days of our Lives) and Jamey Giddens (who is the new co-head writer of The Young and the Restless, following his tenures on the writing teams of Beyond the Gates and Days of Our Lives), as the two scribes who will bring the first of two of Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movies to the page.

RON CARLIVATI AND JAMEY GIDDENS CONFIRM THEIR BOARDING THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE PROJECT
The second installment is said to be written by primetime writer Leo Richardson whose credits include: Star, Katy Keene and more recently the Penn Badgley (ex-Phillip Chancellor IV, The Young and the Restless) starring series, You.
Richardson also wrote for three years on the U.K.’s long-running soap, EastEnders. All My Children revival fans will recall Richardson’s name was attached as the writer for the first incarnation of the All My Children movies, entitled, Pine Valley.
Ron Carlivati took to X and confirmed he is indeed boarding the All My Children movie project. Carlivati shared, “So excited to share this news! Thanks to Andrew Stearn, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Albert Bianchini and the Agnes Nixon estate for entrusting Jamey Giddens and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime! Stay tuned!”

Jamey Giddens confirmed DC’s announcement by taking to his account on X and expressing, “I’ve been booked and busy in 2026. Thanks to Andrew Stearn, the Agnes Nixon estate, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for entrusting Ron Carlivati, and me with the first of two planned All My Children movies for Lifetime!”
Some fans seemed to question how Giddens could be writing for the first All My Children movie at Lifetime, when he is the new co-head writer at The Young and the Restless with Dan O’Connor. Jamey answered that head on via X and explained, “We turned in our All My Children script months ago. My sole focus as of this past Monday, is Genoa City, Wisconsin! #YR”
ERICA KANE, MARIA SANTOS AND HAYLEY AND MATEO SANTOS TO APPEAR IN THE ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIE REVIVAL?
In the planned stories, Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane and Eva LaRue’s Maria Santos will be two characters whose lives we will get to see for the first time since the series was canceled by ABC back in 2011 after 41 years on the air. As well, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos confirmed they will make brief appearances on-screen; one could assume as Hayley and Mateo Santos.
“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos to the LA Times. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”
So, what do you think of Ron Carlivati and Jamey Giddens getting nod to write the All My Children movie #1 script and Leo Richardson #2? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘All My Children’ Revival Updates: Lifetime EVP Speaks on Why Proposed Movies are Great Fit, Mark Consuelos Wants To ‘Give Back’ to Fans

The All My Children revival via movies at Lifetime is still in the works from former series stars and marrieds, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, through their production company, Milojo.
The co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark were featured this week in a Los Angeles Times article which detailed their efforts to bring some of the citizens of Pine Valley back to your screens.
As previously reported, and reaffirmed by the L.A. Times, the All My Children movies will be set in the present day and focus on what beloved characters such as Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Maria Santos Gray (Eva LaRue) are doing now. In addition, Kelly Ripa confirmed that she and Mark Consuelos will also appear on screen briefly most likely appearing in their signature soap roles as Hayley and Mateo Santos.

ALL MY CHILDREN MOVIES BRING NOSTALGIA THAT CAN BE MADE TO FEEL NEW AGAIN
Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive vice president and head of programming for A&E, Lifetime, and Lifetime Movie Network said of the All My Children reboot, “Lifetime is always interested in shows that kind of tap into a powerful nostalgia that can be made fresh for today’s audience. There’s a whole generation of women that have missed these stories and these characters.”
As for working with Kelly and Mark on the Lifetime movie versions of the soap, “They’re exactly the kind of partners you want at a brand,” expressed Bryant. “They’re trusted voices because every day they’re talking to their audience, which, a lot of times, is our audience. They bring a real credibility and have an authentic point of view. You meet Kelly and Mark and kind of what you see is what you get, and I think they bring that same authenticity to their development standards.”
Albert Bianchini, executive producer for Milojo, says he knows All My Children is so wildly popular with the fans of daytime. That was punctuated when seeing it in person, and how the energy was off the charts back in January of 2025 when Kelly participated along with Susan Lucci, former head writer, Lorraine Broderick and casting director, Judy Blye Wilson in a conversation with Andy Cohen at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

“I’ve never seen a crowd like that in my life. People were lined up around the block, recalled the Bianchini. “Everyone wanted to know, ‘When is (All My Children) coming back? We want more.’ We got to see that in real life and Kelly got to feel it in real life, and it made so much sense. I just know that the minute it gets out in the world, people will want more and more and more. There’s just a love there.”
Kelly Ripa added that they are, “working closely with Bob and Sarah Nixon, who are also serving as producers.” She recalled, “She (Agnes Nixon) was so far ahead of her time. She covered topics that weren’t being covered. It was extraordinary the audiences that the show drew, and she served them real stories that were affecting Americans across the country but weren’t necessarily being represented anywhere.”
“It’d be wonderful to give the fans something that they’ve been yearning for so many years,” shared Mark Consuelos. “All My Children gave me my family. I met my wife there. It gave me my start in the business. It gave us so much. It would be a dream to be able to give back.”
THE CANCELLATION AND STOPS AND STARTS OF ALL MY CHILDREN REBOOTS
All My Children aired on ABC from 1970 to 2011. It got a second chance at life when Prospect Park resurrected the show and brought it to The OnLine Network and Hulu for one season in 2013.
Recently, the series made a return through the estate of Agnes Nixon and is streaming internationally on BEONDTV and through their partnership with PlutoTV Canada with episodes starting in 1995. Fans hope original episodes will some day soon be available in the U.S. as well, but that could prove more difficult since ABC owns the rights to the episodes stateside.
Now 13 years later, while there is no word yet on a definitive production start date to the two movies at Lifetime, all the people involved seemed determined to make it come to life.
So, what do you think of the executive vice-president of Lifetime and LMN being enthusiastic about Kelly and Mark’s All My Children movie revivals? Are you wanting to see this come to fruition? Kelly and Mark seem to have made this a very high priority. Do you hope that by 2027 we might be able to get this to the finish the line and into production? Weigh-in via the comment section.

I am just loving this and as I have an investigative side I thought I had it figured out but you fooled me
You gotta love David with JR. I was surprised that David shot JR on purpose.
Thought it was a good episode. David at JR ‘s bedside was fitting for his character…..telling how much he wanted him to suffer for killing Miranda…probably should have thrown in a comment about JR’s treatment of Babe too. I agree with you David seeing Jr laying on the ground and choosing to shoot him is out of character for David. David might choose revenge, but it would be more diabolical and well thought through. I am a tremendous David Hayward fan…truly think he is one of the best characters in the history of daytime. Also think that Vincent irizarry is an exceptional actor. Hope that they will stay true to the complexity of DH , while keeping him as a person we still cheer for at times. Please give him his baby…our hearts broke for him when he lost Leora.
JR Chandler being the person in the coma is the worst kept secret ever! He’s appeared in the opening credits since day one of the show premiering on Hulu.
We knew JR would be on the show, but how could we know he was in the coma? The way they were going on about Tad, I thought Tad was in the coma at first.
So where IS Tad? If Michael E. Knight “can’t come back right now” (I predict, he’ll be back, unless Hollywood is beating down his door for a major Movie role) – but I just wonder where the character of Tad Martin is supposed to be.
I’m enjoying it and happy to see David return. I do find the bad language unnecessary, especially the use of the F bomb yesterday. It casts a shadow on AMCs history.
The fbomb gives it a trashy feel…i dont know why people like it…im 29 and never used it myself…my children could watch it with me but not anymore…its gotten ‘too adult’ and i dont want to rush them to be adults too fast…that will come soon enough!
The language is realistic and it’s not gratuitous. Don’t be such a prude.
I value other peoples opinions too, but no need to tell what how or how not to be. Just express your opinion in addition to mine. It’s a big world. There’s room for all our opinions.
Mike I agree with you – in an extremely heated argument, I can understand language getting a little foul – but obligatory bad language just because “now
we can” is not necessary.
This is what I don’t understand. Kim, you said your children would watch this with you in the past but NOW because of the language you won’t let them?! These have ALWAYS been adult programs – clearly, by your age, your kids are not even teenagers so I’m not sure why they would be watching these programs to begin with as they are NOT appropriate for children. Honestly, people. You should just be happy that these shows came back on and stop your complaining!
I didn’t even notice it.
I hate that word and I didn’t notice being said either. I think you have to really be looking for problems to have noticed it in my opinion.
Funny. I’m not crazy about adding the cursing as it lessens the feel of it being my old show, yet I didn’t even notice the f bomb!
i didn’t notice it either
I believe Cara had the baby and gave it up for adoption ..
AMC is absolutely riveting!
Wish the epis were 2 hrs not 30 min and a full 5 days a week..
Who knew AMC and OLTL could be this outrageously good!!!
Now I want GH to go on the internet, image the uncensored stories GH could thrill me with!
I think Cara had that baby aborted.
I agree, adoption.
I think she’s hiding the child somewhere.
i agree with Becky….
she had the baby and someone is taking care of it… for her.
you couldn’t help but not believe…. on the original… that they truly were in love.
i think it’ll take a while for the reveal…
Cara….. – assuming they may read these: you need to put on some weight.
Bravo! Watching the fourth episode made me fall in love with AMC all over again. Great story, great performamces (the actors playing Miranda and AJ are refreshingly good), and interesting plot twists. They got it right with AMC 2.0 and I couldn’t be happier.
AMC is really good! I stopped watching because it just got too much for me, just watching OLTL. But I’m liking what I’m seeing so far.. but the show needs to get it’s core characters back: Erica, Kendall, Ryan, Greenlee, Tad.. those 5 have carried the stories for the past decade, Erica longer of course. The show has shifted it’s balance to those characters, so it feels like something is missing without them. I’m still watching AMC tho, gotta support it til those actors come to their senses and join up.
I know both Susan and Michael have said scheduling is the main reason they aren’t back yet.
I am actually liking the new blood, fresh storylines . . . and surprisingly I don’t miss Erica, Ryan, or Greenlee at all — I found their storylines and characters repetitive and boring in the past. I *do* look forward to Tad returning [fingers crossed].
I had no intentions of watching the weekly wrap up on Fridays, but I forgot that it was Friday and started to watch. There’s a lot more to it than a weekly wrap up, and I was hooked. Love it! Everyone should check it out.
I did the same and I really enjoyed it, Everyone should check it out. Hope AMC and OLTL stay on another 40 some years.
I was wondering about that – now I can’t wait to watch it when I get home! Thanks.
I thought it was great as well. love the interviews and behind the scenes
I think there’s MORE to that night! There were two shots fired, I think some one else was shot too!
I agree. I think there’s much more to learn about that night.
One shot was JR shooting Marissa and the second was David shooting JR.
No, when J.R and David were fighting over the gun, two shots went off, then David shot him.
They are doing very well with the first four epi’s!
I think maybe Cara had the baby and gave it up for adoption – or, it’s remotely possible that she had the baby aborted due to her own medical history of poor health – I do not think she had a “miscarriage” and I don’t feel that Viewers are supposed to buy that story either.
Since J.R. is the one in a five year coma – (no wonder he looks different, and here I thought it was because another actor is portraying him) then the question is….where the heck is Tad? Why is Dixie always crying over his picture?
My favorite part of the new show is….that we are all wondering what is happening next and discussing story lines! Whether we like or dislike what is going on, we are all happy to be back in Pine Valley and Llanview! 🙂
I’d kind of given up on AMC and OLTL in the last year. It seemed to me that they’d never come back and if they did they wouldn’t be much and went on to Y&R but now I’m hooked again. We don’t get much going on in that short of a time frame but its enough to keep me tuning back in. I don’t have a problem with the language is bad at all. I personally don’t use that kind of language but its quite fitting with the action. It always seemed off to me before when a supposed drug king pin doesn’t use it? Really? GH always seemed fake because of it. Maybe I’m Soprano-ized. I could definitely see this becoming a medium that attracts younger adults. Soaps have never been G-rated viewing. I’m kind of surprised that people are upset over a little lightweight cursing.
I’m thinking she gave it up for adoption… or someone is raising the child for her. Does she have any family besides Grif?
Love the new AMC!
YES I THINK THAT SHE NEEDS TOO GIVE IT UP ,,,FOR ADOPTION THAT KID WANT BE HAPPY WITH A DAD LIKE DAVID…. YOU HAVE SO MANY NEW KIDS ON THE SHOW I JUST DON’T KNOW. BUT NOW I DO LIKE RYAN AND GREENLEE i”m with the others this show is not some thing too watch with your kids found some else for your kids too watch, : )
