Alley Mills Returning to General Hospital
The ‘cray cray’ Heather Webber will be back in the canvas of General Hospital, according to her portrayer, Alley Mills.
On Thursday night, celebrating her Guest Performer in a Drama Series nomination for the upcoming 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Mills chatted with Michael Fairman on his annual Daytime Emmy Nominations Special.
During their conversation, Mills dropped that she will be back on the ABC daytime drama series, sharing, “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but I am coming back. I’m not sure when or how.”
In jest, Alley added: “I keep thinking I’m with Anthony Hopkins on some island drinking Mai Tai’s!” As to what will happen when Heather is on our screens, Mills, expressed: “I don’t know what the story is going to be.”

Mills also revealed that when she played The Bold and the Beautiful’s Pam opposite Betty White as her on-screen mother, Ann Douglas, she took herself out of the running for a Supporting Actress nod, so she would not be up against Betty.
Of all her years in television, this is Alley’s first Emmy nomination, and she shared, “I have never been nominated or submitted. At 73 it’s kind of a cool end-of-life thing!”
You can watch Alley’s interview below around 2:20:50 timecode mark on the Daytime Emmy Nomination Special 2023 Livestream below.
I prefer Robin Mattison in the role but okay.
WOW and BRAVO!
Alley Mill as Heather is awesome..
Am shocked to know she is 73…
also-
I noticed the ‘Guest’ Performer are sometimes better than the regular cast–
ie( Mike ..
SuOOO,
I so agree with you. I think Ally has done a great job on B&B for many years and was not a bit surprised how good she’s done in this role. I didn’t understand your ending comment about Guest performer, Mike??
Hi Violet, hope all is well in your world..
About Mike, Sonny’s dad—I don’t know his real name-he was exceptionally
great, one of the best if not the best of the ‘guest’ performers/actors..
I miss him..
SuOOO,
Yes, he was one of the best, wasn’t he? Everyone is raving about Jane Eliot, Ned’s mother. Personally, I can’t stand her character, so obnoxious.
Violet :),
I don’t know a lot about Jane/Tracy…
She was active many years before my time..
I do recall her and Luke rescuing each other..
What I admire about Jane is she looks her age, with no pretense..
She is gray-haired and is very pretty it becomes her..
She doesn’t have a wig of hair down to her butt that’s full/thick without a strand of grey, hair a 30yr old would envey..
The senior women in GH look ridiculous in those wigs..
Jane being naturally grey for her age is awesome!!!.
There are very becoming wigs for women seniors, just saying.
I can think of only one “senior woman” wearing a wig on GH.
Some of the more mature GH actresses have some of the best hair on tv. Kristina Wagner, Genie Francis, Lynn Herring and Nancy Lee Grahn look especially outstanding.
Love Alley
She’s fabulous but a little Heather goes a long way.
What bothers me about the Heather Webber character is that it’s really a caricature of mental illness. GH hasn’t really done a good job of portraying mental illness at all. They just ship off characters some type of asylum when the actors need to take a vacation. It’s really unflattering. OLTL really dug into mental illness with the Viki/Niki character and the Jessica Character.
Jeff,
I prefer the light touch and sometimes humorous way they portray Heather, moreso than that evil lunatic Ryan Chamberlain. Also I don’t enjoy watching the actors in a “Snakepit” scenario.
way I see it–GH is makebelieve entertainment, not a medical advice advocate–
soaps are in way over their heads when trying to portray medical evaluations, they are always off..Like Sharon’s cancer, which was a farse in compersion to real cancer sufferers, and Niki’s MS has disappeared what a miracle that happened, and being there is no cure for MS she is living a very healthy life and that would be impossible after her years with MS..and the list goes on..
Soaps do have a lot, a lot of cancer and there are transplants it’s just soapy entertainment…and physiatrists can’t answer all the how and why of mental illness so depending on soap writers to deal with it is nonsense.. lol
SuOOO,
You sure explained it better than I did. Speaking of Sharon’s cancer, I also had breast cancer, no Keemo but radiation and I didn’t suffer, only the mental stress of it all, but you are right about the Soaps not meant to be giving out medical advice.
I like robin better for Heather she was so good
Peggy Martin,
Am so sick of hearing how good Robin Matson was. Yes she was, but she’s gone and Allie is doing a fine and believable job of playing Heather.
With everything going on at GH these days, why is this the only thing about the show I could find? Am I being too critical? Every day I sign in to Michael Fairman and there is nothing on any of the three shows.

Then, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is seen talking with Sonny (Maurice Benard), where she says, “It’s time to change tactics!” Most likely, she is talking about dealing with Drew’s threats. Meanwhile, Drew is on the warpath and Ava tries to talk him down by saying, “Don’t you think calling the sheriff is a little extreme?” Why does Drew want to call the sheriff?

‘General Hospital’s’ Braedyn Bruner Reveals Her Daytime Emmy-Nominated Scenes and How Emma is Getting Her ‘Edge’ Back

The 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards are now just a little over a month and a half away, and General Hospital’s Braedyn Bruner picked up her first nomination for her performances as Emma Drake.
Braedyn received a nod in the Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series category along with: Al Calderon (ex-Javi, DAYS) Alice Halsey (ex-Rachel, DAYS) Giovanni Mazza (Gio, GH) Ambyr Michelle (Eva, BTG) and Arielle Prepetit (Naomi, BTG). The winner will be announced in a ceremony held on October 30 in Hollywood, California.
Now, for the first time, Bruner spoke about what she chose to put on her nominated reel that landed her a chance to go for gold. The 25-year-old actress discussed it when she appeared on an all-new episode of the That’s Awesome with Steve Burton (Jason, GH) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH), that dropped this Sunday, September 6.
In speaking of her nominated work, Bruner shared how she went about approaching submitting her reel, which was a conglomeration of scenes from the eligibility year and her first on GH. “The first two scenes on my reel are with Anna (Finola Hughes). The first one is in her office after she arrests Emma at the Quartermaine crypt,” explained Braedyn to her GH co-stars. “I felt like, for me as an actor, that was the first time I understood this character really well. I felt like I had become her in some sort of way, and the things that she stands for and she is willing to fight for.”

Photo: ABC
Bruner continued, “I also love doing scenes with Finola Hughes. The second scene is with Anna also, sort of a similar setting, but a different time of the year, but it was a scene about what Emma stands for, and how much she wants to be like her grandmother, and how influential and important she is to her. I also had included scenes with Gio as well from the post-Nurses’ Ball fallout. We had a lot of wonderful things that I got to choose from.”
Reflecting on now being on the legendary ABC soap opera for a year and a half, Braedyn told Steve and Bradford, “It’s so crazy looking back on where I started, to where I am now, and I think, I’m so grateful for this job. All I ever wanted to do is to tell stories, and even just saying that I have an Emmy nomination is crazy, because that just feels like a great bonus and such an honor. So, that’s really, really cool.”
Since coming to GH, Braedyn said she felt support all along the way behind the scenes. “I love the relationships that I formed on this show,” she shared. “I always tell people that when they ask me what is it like working on General Hospital, I just always say that I’ve truly never been on a set where every person that you encounter is a joy to be around, helpful and kind and supportive. and wants you to succeed.”

Photo: ABC
As for what’s ahead for Emma, viewers know that music executive Simon (Grady Eldridge) has been asking Emma’s boyfriend Gio and her friend and his musical partner, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) to play up a “relationship” when they are on stage performing to help sell them as a recording and performing duo, which may cause problems for Emma in the very near future.
“I love that she’s (Emma) getting her edge back,” confirmed Bruner. “I feel like there had been a period where I was just being really cordial and kind. And that’s fun, but I missed the kind of attitude that she had when she came on the show as this animal rights activist and fighting for justice. I missed that. So, I’ve been really enjoying what we are shooting now. ”
You can check out Braedyn’s guest appearance on the That’s Awesome podcast below.
Now let us know, what do you think about Braedyn’s choices for her Emmy scenes that landed her an Emerging Talent nomination? Do you want Emma to have her edge back? Do you think that Gio and Trina might actually wind up together and Emma will be the one left out in the cold? Stay tuned and weigh-in via the comment section.
