Soap fans and soap actors love a good mystery, so the creative minds of Soap Fan Mystery Theatre have put together a night of readings of rarely seen Agatha Christie mysteries.  The theatre kicks off it’s new series of staged readings featuring Hollywood favorites, the most popular stars of Daytime television,  at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills located at 135 South Doheny Drive at Wilshire Blvd. First up is Agatha Christie’s The Unexpected Guest, starring Stefanie Powers and a trio of stars from ABC’s All My Children (AMC).  Performances are Saturday, February 20 (8:00 pm) and Sunday, February 21 (2:00 pm and 7:00 pm).   Powers, will be joined on stage by Vincent Irizarry (AMC’s Dr. David Hayward),  Jacob Young (AMC’s JR Chandler), and Adam Mayfield (AMC’s Scott Chandler).

After 40 years of taping in New York City, All My Children has recently moved production to Los Angeles.  This is the first time the stars of All My Children will appear together on stage in Southern California.  The role of the police inspector will be read by Robert Newman, who starred as Joshua Lewis for 28 years on  Guiding Light.  Additional mystery guest stars from the world of Daytime TV will also be added.  In “Agatha Christie’s The Unexpected Guest” Michael Starkwedder (Vincent Irizarry) – the unexpected guest – accidentally drives his car into a ditch on a foggy night and wanders into a nearby house to use the phone.  There he discovers Laura Warwick (Stefanie Powers) standing over her dead husband’s body holding a smoking gun…  Together they hatch an alibi, but did she do it?  With a houseful of suspects to choose from, Agatha Christie keeps the audience guessing “whodunit” right up until the shocking climax.

The second reading in the series, Agatha Christie’s Spider’s Web, will be performed Saturday March 13 (8:00 pm) and Sunday March 14 (2:00 pm and 7:00 pm) featuring Ricky Paull Goldin (AMC’s Jake Martin), as the Police Inspector investigating murder and mayhem at a country estate with Agatha Christie’s colorful suspects played by Jacob Young, Adam Mayfield and additional fan favorite guest stars to be announced.

Reserved seating is $49.50. A limited number of $150 VIP tickets will be sold for each performance which include premium seating, a post show meet and greet, and a photo opportunity with the stars.  2-show subscriptions and group discounts are also available.  Free Parking is provided for all performances!  Tickets may be purchased online at www.tix.com or by phone at 1.800.595.4849. Kimberly McCullough Gives Clues That Have GH Fans Suspecting She Was Back for John Reilly’s Tribute Episode: “Saw Some Old Friends and Reminisced about an Absent Dear One…”

General Hospital fans began taking note of a couple of tweets sent out by beloved longtime cast member, Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio), over the last 24 hours on the actress-director’s Twitter feed.

First, Kimberly shared: “I did something really cool today that involved wearing make-up and heels all day, which I clearly wasn’t prepared for.”

After that she followed it up with, “Here’s a clue – saw some old friends and reminisced about a dear absent one ….”

If you combine that with the fact that Jackie Zeman also tweeted: “Good day shooting @GeneralHospital I was invited back for a special episode today. As Y’all know I rarely post a selfie but it’s been awhile since I’ve had ‘Bobbie’ hair and makeup done. Thank you Karen, Carl, and Ari. Have a wonderful weekend, Everyone,” it would appear that both McCullough and Zeman were back for the upcoming tribute episode to the late John Reilly, who for many years played Sean Donely.

In story, Robin’s parents, Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Anna (Finola Hughes) were very close with Sean, as well.  So it all makes sense that Robin would be part of this as well.

So, if this is proven to be true, are you excited to see Kimberly back on a special episode of GH?  Comment below.

Sharon Osbourne in First Interview Since Leaving ‘The Talk’ Tells Bill Maher She’s ‘Angry’ and ‘Hurt’

In Sharon Osbourne’s first interview since her exit from The Talk, following her remarks in the controversial exchange with Sheryl Underwood on the March 10th episode of the CBS afternoon series, the former co-host told Bill Maher how she was feeling at this juncture.

The conversation between Bill Maher and Osbourne aired last night on Maher’s HBO series, “Real Time”.

At the beginning of her appearance while addressing what has happened to her, Osbourne told Maher that the controversy has left her “angry”and “hurt”.  She went on to say, , “I’ve been called so many things in my life, I am so used to being called names, but a ‘racist’ is one I will not take.”

Maher seemed to incite the flames of the entire situation when ‘summed up’ the incident that occurred that ultimately led to Osbourne’s downfall.  As viewers recall, Osbourne came to the defense of Piers Morgan for his right to have his view on Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, where he did not believe what Markle had said about the royal family and her accusations.

Morgan walked off the set of his hosting gig at Good Morning Britain, and eventually lost the job to it as well.  So, with that Maher said of Morgan to Osbourne, “He was called a racist and lost his job, and you were called a racist and lost your job. Do I have it right?” Maher continued, “Who’s the racist and why? This is what I’m trying to figure out.”

Osbourne responded, “Me too.”  She went on to say, “Disagreeing with someone does not make you a racist.”  When the two brought up her alleged use of racial slurs against former ‘Talk’ co-hosts, she referred to those accusations as remarks from ‘disgruntled ladies.’

This interview has already been widely panned by the press, because Maher and Osbourne did not pointedly discuss  Osbourne’s treatment of Underwood on the March 10 episode that began the entire scenario, while ‘The Talk’ did address it on this past Monday’s episode when the show returned from its hiatus.

Watch a clip from Osbourne’s interview with Maher below.  Then let us know what you thought about her remarks and Maher’s via the comment section.

Cameron Mathison Shares He Will Make Summer Debut On GH and Says: “Incredibly Grateful to Frank Valentini and the Writers at GH for Including Me on Such an Iconic Show”

Longtime All My Children favorite and current co-host of Hallmark’s Home & Family, Cameron Mathison, took to his Instagram account on Friday to share his enthusiasm and excitement for what’s to come this summer when he joins ABC’s General Hospital.

No word yet as to what role Mathison will play – and whether it will indeed be Pine Valley’s Ryan Lavery, a new character, or a recast character from the past such as how Kim Delaney took over the role of Jackie Templeton, who has not been seen on the canvas for decades since Demi Moore made that role soap-famous.

In his post today, Cameron expressed thanks to GH EP Frank Valentini and the writing team,  noting: “Almost 10 years after All My Children went off the air I am so excited to be joining General Hospital this summer! I was a member of the abc family for over 15 years and soon I’ll be back: Incredibly grateful to Frank Valentini and the writers at GH for including me on such an iconic show I feel like a kid on Christmas, as I’ll also continue making Hallmark movies and continue to be part of that family as well😀🙏🏼 So so excited… thank you!!!! (More details to come😉)”

So, who do you think Cameron will play once he hits Port Charles?  Let us know and make sure to take our poll below on how you want Mathison to be integrated into the story as Ryan, a new character or a recast character blast from the past? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
