Look who’s coming to ABC’s freshman hit Quantico, which already has gotten a full season pick-up by the alphabet network! None other than Anne Heche! Yup, the former Another World star, where she won a Daytime Emmy in 1991 for playing twins Vicky and Marly Hudson, has joined the cast in a guest star role.

According to TV Line, Heche will play the role of Dr. Susan Langdon, “a former FBI agent and medical examiner who is now a bestselling author and pundit!  Susan returns to Quantico to lead a seminar on how to identify and catch serial murderers. Little does she know, there may be one lurking in her midst!”

Look for Heche to appear on the drama series later this fall!  It’s interesting that two actresses who played the adult twins on AW have both made major casting news in the past week! First, Jensen Buchanan has joined Y&R, and now Heche to Quantico.

After the jump, watch Anne Heche talk about her Daytime Emmy win and being in a hotel room in Nebraska when they called her name, followed in the same clip by Cloris Leachman talking about her primetime Emmy wins.  Then let us know, will you check out Heche on Quantico?  Did you watch her heralded performances on AW back in the day?  Comment below!

Mark I totally agree with you. Anne Heche is a terrific actress. I hope she comes back to Daytime. I loved Jenson Buchanan too, she was a great recast on Another World as Vicky.

I am glad to see she is still doing something because I had wondered why I hadn’t seen her in anything lately.

How incredible if she went to Y&R now? As a new Sharon?? Heck i would even accept a Victor and Sharong paring if Anne would play her

The broadcast’s executive producer, Ian Stewart, confirmed an opening number, when he previously told Deadline, the number “is going to be a lot of people participating, singing, rapping.  It’s hopefully going to be a very impactful start, a ton of fun.”

The Primetime Emmys will have nominees in attendance, with a more limited amount virtually, and those who have tickets can stay in the venue through the whole show, unlike the Grammys or Oscars were those nominated were ushered in and out.  Look for the Emmys to take place outside the theatre under a tent.
