Ariana DeBose & Nancy Lee Grahn Mutual Admiration Society Revealed

Photo: JPI/ABC

Oscar winner, Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) was an inspired choice to host the 75th Annual Tony Awards which were broadcast this past Sunday on CBS.

During the Tonys, which honor the best of Broadway, DeBose sang, danced, delivered unexpected moments, and knew how to keep the three-hour telecast moving along.  For that, Ariana received high praise from many for her first primetime award show hosting gig.

One of DeBose’s admirers was none other than two-time Daytime Emmy winner, and a nominee again this year from General Hospital, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis).  During the Tonya, Grahn had tweeted:If I ever needed 2b humbled as an actress (which working in Daytime for 36 yrs is nearly impossible) I’d simply watch 10 sec of @ArianaDeBose & know that I’ve no talent at all & just got lucky. #TonyAwards”

Now a few days later, looks like DeBose saw Nancy’s tweet and responded in kind, and surprised Grahn by revealing that she has been a fan of the soap favorite for a long time!

Ariana replied: You have no idea, how much I adore you, but I will humbly disagree with your assessment.  As a huge fan of yours for a very long time you ooze talent.”

To which, Nancy simply quote-tweeted:  “I’ve now died” (You can see the exchange below).

So, what do you think about Nancy and Ariana’s tweets to one another? Share your thoughts in the comment section.

that’s so awesome, hey Ariana, come visit port Charles I’m sure they welcome you with open arms for the nurses ball.

Fabulous idea! That would be soooo awesome if they could pull out all the stops and make that happen.

BTW, is there even going to be a Nurses Ball this year???

What a shock! This was the first TONY Awards show I’ve enjoyed in many years (for a long time it was my favorite awards). Ariana De Bose is simply magnificent. Her stunning work in WEST SIDE STORY was no fluke. She’s loaded with talent, poise, personality, and grace. She kept us interested all the way through. Patti LuPone’s win was another highlight for me. As for Nancy, well, it’s better to have a sincere exchange of admiration than jealous backbiting.

What lovely comments between Nancy and Ariana. Especially since they are representing two story genres that are so different. West Side Story 1 and the music is one of my all time favorites. Since I’m not on streaming will have to wait a while until the new version ycomes on a station I can view it on.

Women who support other women is very sexy and empowering.

Arianna totally rocked the TONYS! She is by far my favorite host to date. Her energy and poise throughout the show was amazing. Many hosts have been great but seem to lose steam halfway thorough. Not, Arianna. She was a powerhouse the entire night!

Ms. Grahn knows talent when she sees it and can spot it because she, like Arianna, is a powerhouse performer.

Finn Carr is General Hospital’s New Rocco Falconeri

Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu’s son, Rocco is getting a new look! Enter young actor, Finn Carr, who will take over the role on-air beginning this week.

Carr is very familiar to TV fans who have watched Hot in Cleveland, Fuller House, Criminal Minds and more.  He has also appeared in streaming series for Netflix including Alexa & Katie, and most recently in an episode of Paramount+’s, I Carly.

Now that Rocco is a bit older (with Carr taking over the role), will he figure more into the story of Dante/Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) relationship, and the arrival of Dante’s buddy, Cody (Josh Kelly) on to the Port Charles scene?

The role of Rocco was first played by twins through 2017. Since then, Mason Tannous, O’Neill Monahan, and Brady Bauer have all played the part at one time or another.  In story, it was actually Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) who carried baby Rocco when she was implanted with Dante and Lulu’s stolen embryo.

Soap Opera Digest first reported this latest ‘Rocco’ casting switch in their latest issue on newsstands now.

So, please welcome Finn to the cast of GH in the comment section below!
