I started watching ATWT a few years ago after learning that Julie Pinson had joined the show. In the meantime, I have fallen headfirst in love with every single character on ATWT, with Barbara, Paul and Carly among my personal favorites !! Although I dread the upcoming farewell next week, I find comfort in knowing that I have several decades of ATWT episodes to catch up on….

its been a little disappointing that they have focused on Chris and Katie so much this last month – they pushed the relationship on us so fast – wanted to see more of Jack, Carly, and the others.

Who will I miss the most in Oakdale? The three characters who’ve brought charm, beauty, humor and intelligence to World Turns: Barbara, Nancy and Kim. Their magnificence will be missed by millions.

I’ll miss the collective ensemble of the Hughes Family (including Eileen Fulton’s Lisa, of course)! From the beginning, the Hugheses were the premiere family of ATWT!

I tell you, I had no idea the power of a 20 second clip until now….wow. I’ll definitely have to muster up some serious strength by the time the FINALE airs. The characters I will miss wholeheartedly are Barbara, Lucinda and Carly……oh, and of course, James!!!

The character I’ll miss the most is Luke. Luke has been a big part of my life during those five years Van Hansis played him.

Honestly the rush with Katie & Chris I get, they could have brought Chris bad sooner but than you have Katie there not ready to move on from Brad. And while Simon was kind of the rebound guy post her lost given the amount of time left with the shows ending coming they only had six months to work with were Katie & Chris’s romance storyline was concerned. And given the slight more than the last yr writers have given Katie, she as much as Jack & Carly deserves a happy ending. However that finale promo looking interesting. It seems… Read more »

As the World Turns Cast To Perform Virtual Reading Of Final Episode

In a once-in-a soap-lifetime event during the Covid-19 pandemic, the cast of As the World Turns will reunite for one night online for a virtual reading of the CBS daytime drama’s final episode that aired back 10 years ago this past September,

This livestream event is for a good cause and is brought to you by former ATWT cast member, Trent Dawson’s (Ex-Henry) theatre group The Katonah Classic Stage.  Dawson is the artistic director there.

Over 26 veteran cast members from ATWT, including Larry Bryggman, Don Hastings, Kathryn Hays, Elizabeth Hubbard, Michael Park and more are set to participate in the reading plus some surprise guests.

The show will be streamed  n The Locher Room YouTube channel, 0n Wednesday night, October 28th at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST, where fans will also  have the opportunity to comment and ask questions of the cast,

The event is asking for a $15 donation to be able to see it and you can click here for more info!

Working with Katonah Classic Stage (KCS), a professional, nonprofit theatre group an hour north from New York City, Dawson is hoping this event will help those in need.  KCS has access to outdoor performance space that can provide a safer, more  socially-distant experience for the artists and the audience. The fundraiser not only  applies to salaries, but to health care as well; without employment most artists are ineligible for health coverage during a time when such insurance is critically important.

So what do you think of getting these beloved stars from ATWT together for a good cause to relive and read the script of the final episode from Oakdale? Comment below.
