Thomas’ guilt about lying is suppressed when Steffy taunts him about her being a larger shareholder of Forrester Creations than he is. Seeing how badly hurt Ridge is, Stephanie vows to never allow him to go back to Brooke. Taylor accuses Brooke of intentionally seducing Thomas and threatens to have her prosecuted. After pointing out that Brooke ruined her marriage by having an inappropriate relationship with Thomas, Taylor states that now it’s her turn with Ridge.   Taylor reveals to Ridge and Thomas that she knows what happened on the island. Whip turns to his Jackie M family for support after the break-up of his marriage to Taylor. Thomas has his first encounter with Ridge since having confessed about what happened on the island with Brooke. Stephanie urges Taylor to take advantage of this opportunity to reveal to Ridge how she truly feels about him. Stephanie illustrates to Thomas a very good reason to continue with his lie about Brooke.

Stephanie reminds Thomas that his lie will ensure that Taylor and Ridge will get back together.  Thomas takes the blame for what happened on the island when Taylor attempts to get him to open up about his traumatic experience.  After learning that Ridge and Brooke have broken up, Steffy tries to pry out of her father why it happened.  Stephanie and Eric do not see eye-to-eye regarding who Ridge should be with.  Ridge and Taylor reminisce about the good times they have shared throughout the years.  Frustrated by their miscommunication, Liam goes to see Hope to tell her that he is done with texting and wants to discuss their relationship face-to-face.  After comparing notes, they realize that their text messages to each other have been intercepted by a third party.  Stephanie and Thomas continue with their secret and scheme as Steffy grills them about what they know regarding Brooke and Ridge’s marriage.  Brooke and Ridge discuss their options about the future of their relationship. After their emotional discussion about their marriage, Brooke is left to wonder what Ridge’s next move will be.  When Steffy learns about what happened on the island with Thomas, she takes the opportunity to tell Brooke how disgusted she is with her.  Stephanie and Thomas discuss the pros and cons of their lie.  Amber is heartbroken when Liam tells her that he doesn’t want anything to do with her or her manipulative mother, Tawny.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Diane Poised to Be Attacked by the ‘Hook’; Elizabeth Knew Finn’s Late Wife, Reiko?

On Friday’s cliffhanger of General Hospital, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) looks to be the next victim of the mysterious ‘hook’.  We won’t know till Monday how it plays out, but things are not looking good for the legal eagle in a preview for the airshow.

In story, Diane dropped by the garage that Brando worked at, looking for Sasha (Sofia Mattson).  At first, she bumps into Sonny (Maurice Benard) who is not pleased with Diane for trying to take him down on the witness stand during Nina’s hearing.  She shares she was helping her clients Michael and Willow as best she could.  Sonny says it was personal for him and he can’t forget what happened.

Next, Diane tells Sasha that she’s serving as her interim lawyer since Martin is unavailable and is there to discuss her guardianship. Sasha is scared that she’ll wind up behind bars now that Brando is gone.  Diane assures Sasha she will file a continuance to keep the process going to keep her out of jail. Diane asks where the guardianship papers may be, and Sasha tells her to check Brando’s office.

Dex (Evan Hofer), who is looking suspicious (but it has to be a red-herring, right?) is going to take Sasha home per Sonny’s orders, but Sonny also tells Dex to lock up when Diane is finished with her business.

Later, Diane in the dark, goes to Brando’s office to find the guardianship papers. Next, a figure appears in the doorway with the hook.  This time the ‘Hook’ looks to be of smaller stature leading many on social media that the person behind the violence could be Esme.

In other developments, Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) convoluted storyline, just got even more convoluted.  Liz looks at the photo she’s drawn and suddenly has a flashback revealing the woman’s face at the bottom of the stairwell.  She then tells Finn (Michael Easton) that after her recent session with Kevin, she recalls seeing the woman’s face. Conveniently, Finn was just talking about his late wife, Reiko with Gregory (Gregory Harrison).  So, when Liz talks to Finn, she sees a woman’s face on Finn’s phone.

Finn explains that the picture is of his late wife, Reiko.  He tells Liz he is working on a case that reminded him of Reiko, and he mentions being in the Mariana Islands with her. That makes Liz frantic and she decides to leave. Next, she heads home, where she locates a photo of her and her sister, Sarah. The photo is titled, “Elizabeth and Sarah, Mariana Islands, 1997.”

So, do you think Diane will perish or survive the attack by the ‘Hook’? Who is the ‘Hook”? What on earth is going on with Liz’s storyline? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section below.  But first, vote in our latest ‘Michael’s Poll’ below by voting on which character is the culprit behind all of the bloodshed?

AEW RAMPAGE GRAND SLAM: Hangman Adam Page Punches Ticket to World Title Shot; The Great Muta Saves Sting

On the second half of a two-night pro wrestling television event, AEW Rampage aired an extended two-hour presentation on TNT.  Following Wednesday’s nights AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, where several titles changed hands, the pressure was on for AEW to air another great night of wrestling and continue to amp up their storylines.

Let’s get into some of the highlights of AEW Rampage Grand Slam.  The opening match featured high-flyer Darby Allin and the icon, Sting going up against ‘House of Black’ members, Buddy Matthews and Brody King with meddling Julia Hart at ringside. The match was a No DQ bout, so anything goes, and did.

While Allin and Matthews were beating up on each other with moves off the AEW set scaffoldings, Sting was handcuffed in the ring, with no one to help him. Ah, but cue the music! In a great cameo appearance, The Great Muta came down to the ring, and no one knew whether he would be there to help Sting or the ‘House of Black’. Longtime wrestling fans know that Sting and The Great Muta have had a storied career in bouts together dating as far back as 1989; whether it would be facing each other or teaming up together.

At ‘Grand Slam’ once Muta entered the ring, he turned and spit green mist into Buddy Matthews eyes and it was revealed he was there to make a save for Sting! The blinding mist backed-up Matthews right into Julia Hart, who went crashing through a table. Next, breaking free of his handcuffs Sting secured the victory over Matthews.

In an update on Saturday, it has been announced by Japan’s Pro Wrestling Noah that Sting will participate in The Great Muta’s retirement match.  The organization put out this statement on the event: “We are pleased to announce the participation of AEW superstar and international pro wrestling legend Sting at the GREAT MUTA FINAL ‘BYE-BYE’ event, which will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023 in Yokohama. It was The Great Muta who came to the unexpected rescue of Sting on AEW Rampage: Grand Slam this week. This incident triggered him to partner with Sting at the Yokohama Arena event.”

Later in the night, in the Golden Ticket Battle Royal, where the winner would get a title shot at the AEW World Championship currently held by Jon Moxley, the melee featured many of the AEW stars trying to throw each other out of the ring and over the top ropes.  From the very beginning, Hangman Adam Page was a target, being attacked on his way to the ring, and now the main question was, would the former champ last through the entire Battle Royal?  In storyline, Matt Hardy was reunited with Private Party, as they worked together in the ring and were all eliminated outside of the ring.  When the smoke cleared, Hangman Page and Rush were the last men standing, and both trying to ‘hang’ on for dear life on the ring ropes and not hit the concrete floor and be eliminated.  In the end, Page scored the victory over Rush earning his title shot.

The main event featured Absolute Ricky Starks vs. Powerhouse Hobbs in a rematch of the former tag team partners feud.  Last time out, Hobbs beat Starks in less than five minutes. However, this time it was a ‘Lights Out’ match where anything goes. Coolest part of the night belonged to Starks with his entrance video.  You can check it out below.  After beating each other up with tables, chairs, chains and a light fixture rod (yup), in the end, Starks scored the victory over the much larger and towering Hobbs.

Honorable mention match goes to Jungle Boy Jack Perry (son of the late 90210’s Luke Perry) and his match with Rey Fenix.  The bout was filled with high-flying maneuvers as only these men can do, and the crowd was into it.  In the end, it was Jungle Boy who secured the win.  However, he ultimately faced a beatdown by his former partner, Luchasaurus, who attacked him in the ring at the command of Christian Cage, who entered the ring with his arm in a sling. Cage blames his injury on Perry from the All Out pay-per-view, and as always, Cage continued to trash Perry and his family.

The second honorable mention goes to Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara as they continued their feud. Guevara started the match by calling out how out of shape he believes Kingston is, which played on their previous backstage controversy.  In the end, Kingston went berserk after securing the victory over Guevara, by refusing to let go of his winning hold.  Security came out to extricate the two men.  That instance, made the referee change the decision and award the match to Guevara by disqualification.

AEW Owner/CEO and GM, Tony Khan took to Twitter on the decision and shared: “It’s unfortunate that Sammy Guevara of all people was the beneficiary of your screw-tightening, @RefTurnerAEW In hundreds of AEW shows, we’ve literally only had a few DQs ever, you hate to see it, but Eddie Kingston also put you and your officials in an impossible decision.”

AEW DYNAMITE GRAND SLAM: Jon Moxley Becomes 3-Time World Champ, ‘The Acclaimed’ Win Tag Team Belts For 1st Time

Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on TBS, direct from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, New York was a stacked television card featuring multiple title bouts.

In the main event, Jon Moxley faced Bryan Danielson.  Both men, who are members of the Blackpool Combat Club, won their spots to battle for the AEW World Title in a tournament after previous champ, C.M. Punk was reportedly suspended and injured, causing the AEW World Title to be vacant.

The suspension came after an alleged backstage brawl following a press scrum where Punk after AEW’s All Out pay-per-view in Chicago got into altercations with the Elite (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega).  The Elite had previously won the AEW Trios championship but were stripped of that title, as well.

Going into Grand Slam, most AEW fans felt the momentum was for Danielson to win the belt.  However, it was not meant to be his night. Moxley pinned Danielson, with MJF looming in a stadium sky box complete with the large-sized poker chip that he won at All Out in the Casino Ladder Match (with the help of The Firm). MJF can cash that chip in and wrestle Moxley for the title at apparently, anytime. The smart bet is on MJF to become the next AEW World Champion given his rise in popularity with the audience, even though he is the master heel of the company. Bad boys rule!

In addition, in a history-making moment, The Acclaimed took down Swerve and Our Glory, to become first-time AEW World Tag Team Champions. The crowd was ready for the title to change hands, given this was a rematch between Anthony Bowens and Max Caster (The Acclaimed) vs. Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee (Swerve in Our Glory) from All Out.  The win makes Bowens AEW’s first LGBTQ Champion in its history.

Both Bowens and Caster took to social media after their popular victory.  Bowens shared: “When my Nana passed in 2015 I promised her I’d be a success. Nana, I made it! AEW’s first Gay Champion. Most tag team wins in AEW Most popular team in wrestling. EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED.. your #ForeverChamps.”

While Caster shared: “YO! LISTEN! The Acclaimed are YOUR @AEW world champions. The People’s Choice. Winningest team. Best homegrown team. We are the New Legends.”

Chris Jericho won his eighth pro-wrestling title in his iconic career, beating Claudio Castagnoli with a low blow to take home the Ring of Honor Heavyweight Championship.  In another shady maneuver, ‘The Bastard’ Pac used the ring bell hammer to clobber Orange Cassidy in the head to score the pin and retain the All-Atlantic Championship.

Finally, in the ‘sudden arrival department’, Saraya (formerly known as WWE’s Paige) put all the AEW Women’s Division on notice, when she halted Dr. Britt Baker DMD, Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb’s beat down of Athena and Toni Storm and make her presence known. Saraya made it clear that she is going to take over the Women’s Division.

So, what did you think of AEW Dynamite Grand Slam? What did you think of the championship outcomes?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below, and don’t forget to watch a special AEW Rampage Grand Slam two-hours even this Friday night on TNT (8pm ET).
