B&B's Brooke Goes On A Bender And Says To Stephanie's Picture: "You Were Right From The Beginning! I Was The Slut From The Valley!"

Courtesy/CBS
The executive producer and head writer of The Bold and the Beautiful, Brad Bell had previewed that once Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) found out that her sister Katie (Heather Tom) and her long time love Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) were head over heels for each other that Brooke would hit the bottle! Well, she did big time on yesterday’s episode of the CBS soap.
While Brooke was getting herself schnockered, she was inside the Forrester mansion where she talked to the picture of the deceased matriarch of the family over the mantle, and her best friend, Stephanie! Brooke flashbacks to Stephanie telling her then when she passes on that Brooke needs to become the matriarch, to which a drunken Brooke realizes she can never live up to.
Later she exclaims to Stephanie, “You were right from the beginning. I was the slut from the valley!” Of course, that phrase has been the catch-all for the character of Brooke labeled by Stephanie upon the woman who has slept with all the Forrester men and then some!
What did you think of the solo scenes featuring Katherine Kelly Lang? Did you like that the show illustrated her devastation and losing the man she loves to her sister? Watch a clip with a liquored up Brooke after the jump! Then Let us know your thoughts!
I am loving me some bold and beautiful!!!!!
Once upon a time I might have cared about Brooke, but over the years my ability to feel empathy for her was been lost. Ridge had dumped her many times before, so I don’t believe she is going off the deep end over Ridge. If she is losing it now it is over Katie betrayal not Ridge’s.
Im not really buying the boozing but I love KKL and Brooke, no matter what they make her do.
I am all for a solid Brooke storyline BUT… I do hope this will nor be a flash-in-the-pan plot turn and ti leads to some new directions for the character. Miss Lang the actor deserves the challenge. Brooke the character is of an age when past shenanigans should be just that, past. We the audience can have a voice of experience to lead this family as Stephanie asked and work to repair relationships and forge something ON HER OWN and not with a man. It is OK if “Bridge” is not the endgame. But if it is, then make it stick and work. It is time.
Love Brooke FINALLY getting her’s. K A R M A!!!!
Beth…Y-E-S…AGREED!!!!! K-A-R-M-A…something (in Brooke’s case) that is L-O-N-G OVERDUE!!!!! Yep.
And I am loving the way she is playing it as so so shocked. Loving BnB right now,
Great episode yesterday!
I MEANT OH GROW UP. LOL.
Never would have figured Brooke as one to take to the bottle after being rejected by Ridge, but there’s always the first time for everything (as I know myself).
This is basically Brooke’s swan song with Ridge. The lowest she will go, a drunken mess on the floor of the Forrester mansion, passed out from boozing on wine, scotch and gin (gads, what a brain-ache she’ll have in the morning!).
But when our beloved heroine comes around in the a.m., she’ll be a stronger person, (barring the massive headache) and will steel herself against all things Ridge, finally coming to terms with the fact that she’s been chasing a dream all these years that will never come true (at least, not for her).
Ridge is so wishy-washy when it comes to women; if he can’t have Brooke, he wants her; if he has her, he wants someone else. Brooke has never won this battle and hopefully this drunken night will finally clear her head and she’ll see how blind-drunk she’s been about Ridge all these years.
Take a trip, far away from L.A., Paris and other places you’ve been with Ridge, Brooke. Give your head and your heart a well-deserved break from men, period, and just indulge yourself in some good old fashioned rest, relaxation and replenishing!
Then call Dollar Bill, the Stallion, and tell him you’re ready to make a commitment. If you can’t find him, give Nick Marone a call and give yourself over to some pure pleasure, hon, because you deserve it!
wolfy
PS — Oh, and if you don’t want to commit, don’t. What law says you HAVE to have a man in your life forever? The only men you need are your sons, who love you unconditionally!
I really liked it. Worked very well. Although why Eric doesn’t lock his door is beyond me.
I hope Brooke and Katie are still going to be sisters, again they are great together I think bill is going to be trouble please keep Katie and ridge together I w a nth her happy and to be strong
Maybe KKL will FINALLY get the Emmy recognition she deserves from these great scenes. She is really terrific and deserves the recognition !
So has Taylor slept with all the Forrester men but that doesn’t get any play at all.
Really… I am not sure who really cares about this character anymore. her attitude with Katie was disgusting…as if SHE would be the only woman for Ridge and Katie is just not good enough. I would hope even KKL would not relish those scenes. She needs to come off her HIGH HORSE and take a look in the mirror…it happens to al of us.. we age and we grow up….hopefully. She sounds so juvenile…making such a big deal about a dress she bought in Paris that Ridge couldn’t help but resist her in? Really Brooke?
When she wakes up maybe she will stop those irritating whispers …
As for Katie…she deserves happiness…glad to see they are building the relationship on friendship and respect for one another. 🙂
I imagine if my sister showed up at my door and said she was in love with the man I thought I was about to marry, I’d be upset too. I’m not necessarily a Brooke fan, but I can understand her mindset at that moment and why she would say and feel the things she did.
The thing is though, Brooke slept with Katie’s husband. If she is bad enough to dish it out, she should be bad enough to take it.
But Katie insisted time and time again that Bill and Brooke be together and kept pushing and pushing!! Brooke would never tell Ridge to be with Katie…..and for ridge to be as condescending as he is considering how he left her on the honeymoon over a text?!?!?!? ridiculous, I guess Brooke was suppose to sit around twidling her thumbs waiting for him to come back….ummm no…..
It seems like Katie is turning into nuTaylor and going after all of Brooke’s former beaus: Nick and Ridge respectively BUT I seem to recall that Dolla Bill hit on Brooke first before he even laid eyes on Katie and Steffy so in a sense Katie seems to want what Brooke always got.
I have to admit though, in the beginning I thought this would be a great storyline with Ridge slowly fawning over Katie but it seems rushed to me. He barely got back several months ago and all of a sudden he’s in LOVE with his former sister in law?! Don’t get me wrong: I love Thorsten Kaye cuz he’s my soap huzband. BUT I was hoping he’d come back and start with the takeover of Forrester Creations first and then slowly dally with Katie and segue into a relationship with her. Now….I’m not liking this duo whatsoever because it seems like Katie is being a full-on witch – she was slowly working on her relationship with Brooke but then does this?! If she ever needs her sister, who’s to say Brooke would want to be there when Katie pulled this on her? Granted, Brooke did hurt Katie but only AFTER Katie went bonkers and more or less forcibly pushed those two together then cried afterwards when it worked.
Anyway…I hope Brooke either has a vision of Stephanie giving her sage advice or has an epiphany that she needs to be stronger than she had ever been before and help the family forge ahead – hers and the Forresters.
Brad Bell has made a mockery of his own show.
So…it took that needy bimbo Brooke over 20 years for her to realize that she was the SLUT FROM THE VALLEY??? OMG…Brooke has ALWAYS BEEN such a needy train-wreck!!!!! Stupid woman.
No Katie and Ridge this week. Fast forward through all of this weeks B & B. What a BORING week !!!!!!!!!
I began watching B & B when AMC “went dark.” Been enjoying the story lines and thought the character of Eric was a class act . Rumor has it that he is going to force Ridge and Brooke to work along side each other. How a man who has “shared” this woman with is son , forces him to work along side with her is disgusting !!! So much for Eric having any class…proving that money cannot buy everything. Shame on you Eric !!!!
Yes I agree – Shame on Eric! Who is he to be the judge of what people belong together? Honestly he thinks it’s fine for the person who stole a diamond and got other people sent to prison for the crime to be dating (sleeping with) his granddaughter. And please somebody tell Brooke what’s involved in being the family matriarch. Huh There’s a hot one. Brooke leading the family into the future. The only place Brooke leads anyone is herself into the middle another marriage. . . . I would like to say from experience that what Brooke did to Katie is nothing like Ridge and Katie being together. Bill and Katie were married and Brooke set out to get him with her Brooke’s Bedroom red nightie. Give me a break. If Ridge goes off after Brooke now as much as I love TK – I’m done!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
