It’s time for a crossover between CBS sister soaps, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.

At the epicenter of this is B&B original cast member, John McCook (Eric Forrester) who started his soap opera career as Lance Prentiss on Y&R.

In story on Y&R, Eric comes to Genoa City to visit old flame Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman), who he briefly had a fling with when she relocated to Los Angeles for a millisecond in the late 9o’s and thus Bregman was on B&B for that stint.

Now according to EW.com, on the upcoming January 27th episode of Y&R, “Lauren will reconnect with Eric, who is the founder of the Forrester Creations fashion house, just as her own company is considering an investment from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).”

Can Eric help Lauren out of her company financial woes?  Share your thoughts on the upcoming visit by McCook to Y&R in the comment section below.

Now this is a classy crossover that has relevance! Happy to see Y&R giving Lauren Fenmore some love. And to see it honor John McCook as a Y&R original!

In my opinion, they were long overdue in giving Lauren love. So nice to have her in the thick of things where she belongs. Now if we could have some more Jill sightings things will be complete. I would love to see Jill and Gloria have a couple of good tongue lashings for old time sake.

New viewer here…
Didn’t know Lauren and Eric had a thing, but whatever she has to do to F¥@€ Jack over, I’m all for it!
I’m REALLY sick of smarmy Jack-ass!!

Agree about Jack! He’s a wonderful actor. He’s been stuck in one dismal storyline after another. He keeps doing the best with subparagraph material.

My hope is both Jack and Ashley get storylines worthy of the actors and our attention

In one of the episodes from last week, Ashley mentioned to Billy that she had a dinner date. Maybe they are finally going to give her a full blown relationship. I was upset when the writers passed on teaming her with Nevell. That was a waste of two soap icons at their best. If memory serves me correctly in my old age, I don’t think Ashley has been in a half way decent relationship since the Tucker years. in any case she is long overdue. We’ll soon find out

I still can’t figure what’s going on with Lauren’s company but I do have a feeling someone is behind the major dip in sales at Fenmore’s. The only thing I can’t piece is who could pull something like this if this is where the story will bring us. I am just glad Lauren is in her own story again!!!

I am enjoying seeing Lauren with her own story as well. She has been away for far to long. It’s nice to see hercin the thick of things. And adding Gloria to the mix is wonderful. She iscbarely back for 5 minutes, and already she is snooping and playing dirty with Jack o f wllcpeople. I will definitely drive Michael crazy when he gets wind of it. Jack is really u4ning into a bigger pompous ass then usual. I am dying to see how this story is going to play out. And adding John McCook is like adding icing on… Read more »

Fenmore’s is experiencing the same sort of problems that Macy’s, JCP, and Sears are experiencing: decreased sales/profits. Real world problem.

Hi, James, I have the sneaking suspicion that Jack is behind the sabotage. My grandmother says Jack is regressing to the old Jack of 35 years ago….the same Jack who left Victor in his office, on the floor, to die, albeit he did get Victor help after a long while. I only hope Lauren does not wear her heart on her sleeve and gets hoodwinked by Jack and/or Gloria. I am particularly interested how Lauren will tackle the ‘mysterious’ usurper behind the imbroglio. What mystfies me is Gloria. Is she pretending to help Jack to get to the truth for… Read more »

however, this plays out…. latest SOD issue poll IS NOT happy with Jack… no matter that Jack has got his bite back Ms. Lauren Fenmore… is not to be toyed or messed with… unless its Carmine ( lol ) just saying if you fudge this up… Victor is watching at long last… with Jack the man abbot back… in full swing… even I don’t think this is the best way to go about corporate subterfuge it’s not something Jack would do ? The Fenmore and Abbott have never feuded ? alas… since Phyllis is helping Lauren … look for this… Read more »

I have a feeling that Phyllis and Jack will both be in each other’s orbits, uncontrollably with Phyllis helping Lauren and Fenmore’s and Jack becoming involved on the other side of things. Who knows?

Lauren is very beautiful. Why Y&r waisted years with Sharon when they had their lead lady all along. I say free her from Michael and have her mix with Nick!! Victor could be behind Fenn’s downspiral and she could want revenge by sleeping with his son! Why not? Heck i would love it even more if she went back to Paul so Cricket, Paul and Lauren could be back fromt burner again…

Hmmmm Ghlover. That sounds like too much work on Paul’s part. He has so much to digest, as it is….risking the loss or yet another child. Plus, one cannot re-create what once was. At their age, the landscape is painted by a different hand and with a different brush. The result would be drastic. I want Lauren to come out as the heroine, smelling like a rose, concetrsting on saving her legacy from drowning. I would love for the writers to have Lauren, A WOMAN, take the bull by the horns and outsmart Jack or whomever means her harm. I… Read more »

I’m loving Lauren as being more than a prop for Michael’s arm or a “hi sis” for Jill. I like that they are dealing with what is current in department stores in real life but what I’m not liking is once again the show not building even a small set for Lauren’s office. One thing is certain, Lauren’s apartment, while nice, would have been redone a few times in the decade or more it’s been a set. It’s time for the show to give it a facelift as Lauren is in fashion and her place is a man cave. The… Read more »

This is so great. I have been wishing for a crossover for ages. What a great idea!

There are so many possibilities with Chelsea 2.0, Jabot and Fenmore’s. Any one of those companies could and should have business with Forester Creations. Bring it on!

Mal Young and Sally Sussman have been doing such a great job. I thank my lucky stars every day that they are bringing us Y&R. Keep up the great work team!!!

Chris Harrison In First Interview Since ‘Bachelor’ Controversy Says He Wants To Be Back as Host; But GMA’s Michael Strahan Says Apology was a “Surface Response”

Thursday’s Good Morning America featured the highly-publicized first interview with ‘Bachelor’ franchise host and executive producer, Chris Harrison, since he stepped away from the show following his controversial remarks on current Bachelor contestant Rachel Kirkconnell, amid the airing of a season that has seen the first-ever Black male lead of the reality series, Matt James.

Speaking with GMA co-host, Michael Strahan, Harrison spoke of remarks he made during his interview with ex-Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay on Extra that sparked the firestorm.

Harrison admitted the words he spoke to Lindsey were “in a manner that perpetuates racism,” adding “I am an imperfect man I made a mistake and I own that. I believe that mistake doesn’t reflect who I am or what I stand for.”

The incident began when photos surfaced on social media of Kirkconnell at an Old South-themed party that she attended back in 2018, along with allegations she “liked” many Instagram posts that were racist in nature, and what many viewed as Harrison coming to her defense in this time of what he then called “cancel culture”.

On GMA, Chris expressed: “Antebellum parties are not OK,  Past, present, future, knowing what that represents is unacceptable.”

He also apologized to Lindsay, who had to shut down her Instagram account because of viral vitriol being sent her way over the incident with Harrison, adding this message to the public, “Anyone who is throwing hate towards Rachel Lindsay, please stop. It’s unacceptable.”

Photo: ABC

As to how he is trying to make amends, Harrison shared: “I made a mistake and I own that, Racism, oppression, these are big dynamic problems and they take serious work. I am committed to that work.”  The longtime Bachelor host then announced he is working with race educator Dr. Eric Dyson who has taught him about the idea of “counsel, not cancel”.

Chris says he plans to be back hosting the reality-dating series, expressing:  “I plan to be back. I want to be back.  This interview is not the finish line. There is much more work to be done.”

Following the exclusive, Michael Strahan described his conversation with Chris Harrison stating: “His apology is his apology, but it felt like it got nothing more than a surface response on any of this. Obviously, he is the man who wants to clearly stay on the show, but only time will tell if there is any meaning behind his words.”

So, what do you think of Chris Harrison’s responses during his first interview since the controversy? Should he return to hosting The Bachelor franchise? Comment below.

GH’s Wes Ramsey Makes Statement on Criticism, Social Media, and Professionalism

General Hospital’s Wes Ramsey, who portrays polarizing character, Peter August on the ABC daytime drama series, responded to a recent take on his role from cast mate, Tristan Rogers (Scorpio) when a video made its way through social media.

The video was from a Cameo appearance, where Rogers offered an assessment of the Peter August storyline and expressed that while he knows Ramsey is a strong actor, he felt he was “wrong for the character” being that Peter was the son of the evil Faison played by Anders Hove.

Rogers also came to the defense of Ramsey and shared: “Don’t be too hard on Wes Ramsey. He’s got himself into a horrible storyline, and the storyline is the fault of the show. What they’ve literally done is they’ve painted themselves into a corner, and they don’t know how to get out of it.”

Currently, Peter’s story is front and center on GH with his wedding to Maxie (Kirsten Storms), and the fallout from all of the character’s dirty deeds.

Now Ramsey took to his Instagram account to address what transpired and his thoughts on the perils of social media, professionalism and acting, expressing: “Actors are storytellers, shapeshifters, chameleons. We’re also in the business of cultivating trust bc that’s how the best work is brought to life. We have to trust our imaginations, our instincts. We have to trust our fellow actors, because without them, there’s no scene to play. In the collaborative efforts of bringing any show to life, we also have to trust our directors each day to steer the arch of our story (like a conductor with a symphony) & trust our writers who are tasked with composing the symphonies we play out. I came up in a world of classical theater, where trusting the play, text, story is essential to the tightrope balancing act of making magic.  You will never hear me critique (on any public platform) the people responsible for the creative opportunities I enjoy each day. Without the trust of my writers, directors, producers & fellow actors, it would be impossible to live out my dreams. My job (& my only job) is to bring fearlessness, playfulness & passionate conviction to what has been created for me. My aim is to stretch myself (beyond the limits of where I think my boundaries may lye) each time I’m entrusted with material that allows those boundaries to be tested.

Every actor must believe they are the right person for their part or they will never achieve their potential, let alone surpass it. I was raised a gentleman & have two wonderful parents to thank for that, however, my polite personality (while rendering me easy to get along with on set) should have little bearing on my caliber of performance nor my castability as a professional.  I am leery of the pitfalls of social media & believe there are advantages to maintaining some mystery (even as a public figure) but I will always defend & protect what I hold dear (my job & my career) when they are publicly challenged, especially by those closest to me, whom I love & respect. Please know I bear no ill will. As a society, we are all still learning the full ramifications of living in an internet dominated culture. To all my many fans out there who offer encouragement & support, I hear you & am grateful for you. I’m having a blast… 🙂. Onward we go.”
