B&B’s John McCook To Appear on Upcoming Episodes of The Young and the Restless

Photo: JPI

Soap veteran, John McCook will visit his old stomping grounds at The Young and the Restless, when The Bold and the Beautiful’s Eric Forrester appears on the June 14, 15, and 16th episodes of the top-rated soap.

Fans recall that McCook started his daytime career as Lance Prentiss back in the mid-70’s on Y&R, and over the years has returned a few times to the show as his B&B alter-ego.

Now, according to Soap Opera Digest, Eric will share scenes with Courtney Hope (Sally, Y&R) who also formerly appeared on B&B.

In the story, it’s actually Sally who visits Eric in Los Angeles and share scenes, and then their characters will stay in touch via video calls consisting of McCook’s crossover, in total.

So, looking forward to this crossover, of sorts? Would you like to continue to see more Y&R and B&B characters intersect?Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

I swear, if he has scenes with Lauren and doesn’t mention Sheila being alive, I will quit this soap.

Oh, come on. Sheila hadn’t been around in ages, why should she be that important that she be mentioned in a casual meeting?

I sure hope Eric is not his usual sweet self to Sally and tells her how he really feels about what she did to Forrester Creations after giving her the great job he did.

You know, Violet, at first I thought Sally might be a fun villain. But, for me, a good villain needs at least one redeeming quality…or at least a sense of humor or fun. I don’t find any in her right now. The actress is very good, but the character is veering into Snidely Whiplash, cartoon-quality behavior. If Sally had a long black moustache, she’d be twirling it. Enough of her!

Soaphound You perfectly described Sally’s Aunt Sally Spectra. She could be a red haired menace but had the qualities you mentioned and then some. This Sally was a treat when she first appeared on B&B but for some reason they changed her, making her into the person she is now. I don’t know if you watch B&B so I may be just telling you things you already know, if so, forgive me. At first I was worried that Jack and she would be a couple, now am afraid he’s falling for Tara. Why can’t they find someone suitable for Jackie… Read more »

Violet and Soaphound,..I really dislike how Y&R has changed Sally Spectra from her early B&B days where she really got screwed. She was the only one I liked compared to the same old, blah blah blah Bill, Steffy, Liam, etc characters. As for Tara you could see her coming. But have to admit it’s really hard to feel sorry for Summer.

I know exactly how you feel about Summer. I am watching her getting totally demolished by Tara and Lucy and get mad at myself because I don’t feel more sorry for her.

B&B’s Annika Noelle Shares Her Heartache on Pregnancy Loss

In a very well-written and touching essay written by The Bold and the Beautiful’s Annika Noelle (Hope), herself, the actress shares with the readers details of two miscarriages that she had not publicly revealed until this time.

In her story for Glamour entitled, “Losing a Child in the Limelight”, Noelle shares the heartache and pain of losing a child while filming the demands of a soap opera, and especially Hope’s storyline which for months featured so much emotion and so many tears after the baby loss storyline on-air she was the vehicle in which to tell the tale.

However in real life, Noelle was going through something as well.  Annika reveals how she and her fiancé found out she was pregnant, and then 10 weeks later she lost the baby.  When they tried again, she lost the baby at 8 weeks.

In an excerpt, Annika expressed about keeping her pain private while working on the soap: “Fans and news articles speculated whether I was pregnant or just gained weight during quarantine. And once again the storyline called for ceaseless tears when I felt like I had no more to give. I guess looking back at it now, I was scared to jinx anything. I didn’t want people to know and have things not work out. And yet I wish I had because I would have given anything to have the understanding and support of the cast and crew. I felt so alone. The secret was isolating, yet the shame was debilitating. I felt like I had failed at something that should be easy. But as time marched on, I was surprised by a new feeling bubbling underneath the sorrow: an ancestral rage toward the burden of womanhood. And as I slowly began to open up about my loss to a select few, I was shocked by how many people had experienced it as well.”

In the end, Annika shares: “Anyone who follows me on social media can tell you I’m a deeply private person. But if there is one thing I’ve gained from my loss, it is a voice I’m no longer afraid to use.”

Make sure to read Annika’s moving article in full, then let us know in the comment section what you thought of it.
