Behind the Scenes of B&B’s Sheila and Taylor Rooftop Scenes (PHOTOS)

Photo: JPI

Over the past few days, viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful have witnessed Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) wanting to jump off the hospital rooftop after killing her son, Finn (Tanner Novlan) and shooting Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).  In her grief over Finn, Sheila is rocked to her core and it is Taylor (Krista Allen) who stumbles upon the scene trying to talk Sheila down from the ledge.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Taylor goes over the ledge instead and needs Taylor to pull her back up to safety.  Sheila does just that and Taylor is saved.  It now looks as if the women have formed a strong bond, but Taylor has no idea that Sheila is the one who shot her daughter!

In soaps, it’s always a complex day when a show tapes an outdoor or remote portion of a story, especially one that deals with someone going over the ledge of high-story building.  Leave it to the crew, directors, and producers of the soap to pull it off just right.

Check out this behind the scenes photo gallery of just what went on when Krista and Kimberlin taped the major moments for their characters.

Then let us know, what did you think of Sheila wanting to commit suicide, Taylor trying to talk her down and ultimately being the one who goes over the ledge and needs Sheila to save her life? Comment below.

Are the two stunt doubles actually twin sisters???

Why all this attention on Sheila and/or her portrayer? She’s an odious character with zero redeeming qualities and is not even a “fun” villain like Deacon, Nelle Benson on GH, or Ian Ward on Y&R. She’s in the Esme Prince/Diane Jenkins mode: just a headache.

Soaphound
OMG You are so right. I can’t stand this character, no matter how many people think she’s so great. The last few days Iam yelling at the TV, what the hell is she doing in there with everyone else? She isn’t Steffy’s beloved mother-in-law. Every time she’d open her mouth, Ridge would shut her up but still allow her to stay, it was totally stupid.
Soaphound, if you celebrate Easter, have a hopping good one.

I also can’t believe just because Sheila saved Taylor’s life that she will now become the murderer’s beastie. How utterly stupid. I can’t wait until Steffy finds out what happened and her mother tells her, “oh, honey she was just so upset because she had just killed her son when she was really trying to kill you.”

Violet…I wasn’t watching Y&R when Taylor and Ridge were together. So I really don’t know her history. But it has been hard for me to believe Taylor is such a great psychologist since she hooked up with her family and Ridge again. And the Sheila hand hold save sorta reminded me of Carly and Nellie save that didn’t happen. Sometimes not a lot of originality between soaps.

rose,
You know that old saying, physician heal thyself? Too bad Taylor never learned that lesson in as many troubles and bad situations as she’s been in over the years. What you just said was hard for you to believe that she’d do, well it is exactly what she’d do, no surprise here.As I said, she never learns, especially the way she throws herself at Ridge. I can’t count the many times she’s been rejected by him, since the kids were very young. At least Ridge has only been with Brooke over the years but Taylor has had many men in her life, including Brooke’s adult son Ric.

Violet…sometimes I wonder what keeps us watching our soaps. I didn’t know the history of Taylor. I wasn’t watching B&B then. But another old adage that applies is “what goes around, comes around,” and in the case of soaps again and again. So now we have to find a new or old love interest for Steffy, Sharon, and maybe Victoria. Then there is the baby switch arounds or worse. Car accidents. Coming back from the dead. I’m sure you could list some others. So I guess with the human condition it can be hard for soaps to continually be original.

Violet, best to you on “hoppin” Sunday as well. There’s a disturbing trend here, Violet, and it’s been happening in movies and prime time since the 1980s. The public (generally–not everyone) has fallen in love with villains. It used to be just flawed heros (like Mel Gibson’s LETHAL WEAPON cop), but around the time of Hannibal Lecter and THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS people had given it up for evil people. You can see it in slasher movies — how many people are rooting for those hapless female victims to ESCAPE? Not many. Same with ultra-violent video games; it’s all the same problem. I think that’s why shows like DOWNTON ABBEY are an oasis for the rest of us.. people behaving (mostly) decently and when they don’t, there’s a comeuppance. Not so on soaps. Sheila hasn’t felt it. Peter August didn’t either. Meanwhile, a good many of us just scratch our heads wondering why there’s no accountability. Sad state.

Soaphound…I agree about the amount of violence being fed to us in film, tv and video games. That’s why I am not at all happy about some of the sicko trends with Sheila, Esme and Ryan being combined with violence. I really liked Downton Abbey as well. And for timeouts, for good ending stories, I will watch the Women’s/Hallmark channel. By the way I’m not seeing a lot of accountability in real life legal system and rogue politicians either for some of the things they say, do or sponsor.

Soaphound
I get what you are saying. Case in point, Sonny Corinthos, need I say more?
You mentioned Downton Abby, my alltime favorite. I also love Sanditon on Masterpiece. Have you been watching that?

Violet & Soaphound…since we like Downton Abbey you might be interested in Discovery Of Witches, one of my all time favorite series. It stars Matthew Goode who played Henry Talbot, Lady Mary’s second husband. He coincidentally plays Matthew (a little crush here) in Discovery, a great British series which ran on AMC.

Yeah i hope sheila gets caught soon. She thinks shes untouchable.

Soaphound…I agree about the Sheila and Esme characters. Big headaches. Hard to be a great villainess. At least Helena had personality and was entertaining no matter how bad she was.

I think these two did a great job I hate the storyline but some great work done by both!

As previously reported, Krista Allen, who is in the photo, is no longer with the show. Allen reported to Deadline that the third year of her contract was not picked-up. She also said, “The craziest thing is right before I got dropped, I did the cast photo shoot, and then the next week they called and said, ‘we’re not going to keep your third year and thank you very much, you were wonderful and thank you, goodbye.” An insider told the outlet that Allen was offered to recur in the role, but turned it down.

This weekend, two stars featured in the cast pic, Thorsten Kaye and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, took top acting honors at the 50th annual Daytime Emmy Awards for their performances as Lead Actor and Actress, respectively.  In addition, Krista Allen attended the ceremonies, and she was a nominee in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work as Taylor Hayes in 2022.
