Behind The Scenes Of Y&R's 40th Anniversary Cast Photo Shoot – Watch It!
In a stirring and emotional, and celebratory video, The Young and the Restless has released this very special montage of the shooting of their 40th anniversary cast photo! The tag line to the video reads, “A new cast photo to mark Y&R’s 40th anniversary was cause for reflection, celebration, and balloons.” And it sure does!
During the clip segment there are soundbytes heard throughout from various Y&R cast members including: Greg Rikaart, Jeanne Cooper, Tracey E. Bregman, Kristoff St. John, Joshua Morrow, Michelle Stafford, and Christian LeBlanc, to name just a few.
Watch it after the jump, and let us know what you thought of it! Then, as the actors paid tribute to the fans in this video, how about we show them some love and let them know here, just what Y&R has meant to us for the past four decades!
Very nice. Congratulations!
LOVE SHARON AND ADAM! LOVE DRU AND NEIL< LOVE PHYLLIS AND JACK!
They really need Drucilla back Victoria Rowell . All this Nikki and Victor wedding blah blah blah been there done that thousands of times. The last hot couple to get together we still have left is Sharon and Adam! When will they get together! Chelsea is a total tool! Do love Ashley coming back and loving Jack better than ever with Phyllis and hope Summer is his!
Sharon and Adam are the best couple since sharon and Nick and Dru and Neil! I do not like Chelsea I do not like Leslie! Chloe is REALLY a LMAO crack pot 🙂 lol…………Pleas no more Nikki and Victor and the depressing MS story she is such a drama queen
I wish them many more years. Happy anniversary.
LOVE it!
Stephen Nichols is in the video but not in the cast photo.
The cast picture was photoshopped.
Steve Burton’s head has been placed on Stephen Nicols’s body.
That is just wrong. Plus, if you look at the photo at the end of the video Steve Burton has been Photoshopped into the picture, up under the Y&R logo (even though he wasn’t part of the cast yet, supposedly…) Then they deleted him from under the logo for the final cast photo they released and Photoshopped his head onto Mr. NIchols’ body. So wrong.
This is the first pic I saw .
When I saw the video, I realized this pic had been photoshopped. http://www.parade.com/celebrity/personality-parade/2013/03/03/who-has-been-married-most-young-and-the-restless.html
Classless and a what the heck are they thinking moment for sure, to photoshop Steve Burtons head onto Stephen Nichols body! How disrespectul to the actors and fans. Guess we are considered to stupid to have seen this blunder with our own eyes.
I saw Stephen Nichols in the video and cast photo. I am not sure what you are referring to. Stephen Nichols is behind Billy Miller and next to Jessica Collins (who is wearing a familiar dress).
I see that Steve Burton was added, though.
The only one I see missing is the actress who plays Adriana, Tatyana Ali, and of course all the little ones that play the children.
This is the photoshopped pic I was referring to.
It is not on this clip- but there is a photo of the cast where Steve Burton is standing where SN was standing. I don’t know if they photoshopped his head on SN’s body, I think it is more likely they photoshopped SN out of the picture and then took one of SB and added him into it. Also missing from the video clip was Jess Walton who plays Jill, but she was added to the photo
H. Parson, thank you for the link. That explains it. 🙂
Yeah, I would have to agree that is pretty bad. Steve Burton appears to be wearing the same clothes Stephen Nichols was.
Mary SF, I was pretty sure I saw Jess Walton around the :54 mark because to the very far left I see a red blazer and black blouse, but I might be wrong.
Mary SF, if you look at the two photos carefully, it is obvious they just deleted Stephen Nichols’ head and photoshopped Steve Burton’s head onto his body. Look at the stance and look at the pant legs. Totally disrespectful if you ask me!!
Yeah- I saw that, but when you watch it on the original website, you can enlarge to full screen and if you pause it you will see the lady is not Jess Walton. Most likely she is a stand in for the shot and then they photoshopped Jess onto her spot.
Also the girl standing beside the guy who plays Tyler is not the girl who plays Summer, but in the official photo she is there- so again another stand in I guess. Also I’m pretty certain if the real cast members were there they would have been in the part with the balloons falling on them- and they weren’t.
If only they had photoshop when I was in high school- I could have avoided the torment of yearbook photo day and just have put my face on some other kid’s body lol.
This is so tacky. It’s insulting to Steve Burton and Stephen Nichols!
Ilove the show, been watching all my life since i was a lil girl with my mom, it was her fav show, i keep watching even thou she’s gone now, it has meant the world to me and my mom, they are all great actors, just wish they woud stop recasting my favorites like abby, love steve but he is missed on GH,i dont know wat id do without young and the restless in my life…and nikki is my fav. i love melody so much, she is so sweet ,she gave me a birthday shout out on twitter ,really shocked me ,i cherrish that always, made my day..
“The cast photo that we haven’t had since 1912.” 🙂
Ah, Kristoff, you are so funny and I could listen to you ALL day.
Nice to see Bryton James. Haven’t seen him much lately.
Thanks for another nice, behind-the-scenes video, Mr. Fairman.
Horrible thing to do to the fans of Stephen Nichols and also Steve Burton. That photo was clearly played with and photo shopped.
Kat- I did examine the two photos and you are correct, it is definitely SB head on SN body. I guess I didn’t want to think they would do something so tasteless. I wanted to believe they would have the decency to at least take a whole new photo of SB and place him SN spot, but I guess they didn’t. I don’t know who made that decision but I hope they get call on it as being a really dumb move. It comes across as petty and immature-. If I was either actor I would want an apology. Does anyone know if either one has comment on this publically or not?
I didn’t want to believe it either and was absolutely shocked when I watched the behind the scenes clip. It’s disrespectful to both the actors, their co-stars and the fans of Y&R.
I have not seen a public statement from either actor. I think someone at Y&R, CBS or Sony needs to issue a statement and an apology. To just ignore it is an insult to the fans!
If you stop the video at 0.24 you can see Stephen Nichols standing in the background. Isn’t he gone from the Y&R? Why was he there?
Stephen Nichols was still on contract when the photo shoot took place.
This photo shoot was done before they let him go. If you read the posts above you will see everyone is upset because they photoshopped Steve Burton’s head onto Stephen Nichol’s body. SB hadn’t started on the show yet when the photo was taken and I guess someone thought this would be a good idea- place the head of the guy who is now on the show with the guy who isn’t. Personally I think they should do these photo shoots closer to the real event to avoid problems like this
