Betty White on Ann Douglas's return to B&B!

betty_white.jpgBetty White talks with TV Guide Magazine about her return next week to The Bold and the Beautiful where miserable mom, Ann Douglas lands on her daughters Pam and Stephanie’s doorsteps thinking the end of her life is near.  But is it?  The Emmy award winner and television icon fills us in, and we learn to watch for special B&B episodes coming November 20th and 23rd which will feature a soap opera first…an all-female cast including the parademics and hospital staff in the episodes.

Here are a few juicy tidbits from the feature!

The fans won’t like this one bit. Ann’s a royal pain in the ass but we love her for that. We don’t want her dead.
Ann doesn’t want to see Ann dead! I think she’s starting to get panicky and doesn’t want to face death. In her mind she didn’t show up in Los Angeles to make amends with her girls. She’d never admit she’s been less than perfect as a mother. But she’s losing her power. She’s losing control. She wants to get rid of some of the old garbage, so it’s nice for her to be with Stephanie and Pam and resolve some issues that have been sticky for a while. She must have looked in the mirror one morning and said, “My God, Ann, you’re getting older. We better get some things resolved.” Of course, I do that every morning!

As we know, Ann looked the other way when her husband physically abused the young Stephanie, and she’s always treated Pam like the hired help. Is this beach experience representative of the sweet, good kind of life Ann wishes she’d given her daughters, uncomplicated by all the dysfunction and emotional crap?
Oh, possibly. [Laughs] But I don’t trust Ann quite that much. I think she has a personal ax to grind insofar as she wants to clear her conscience of any neglect or wrongdoing. She thinks this is the perfect way to do it. She just wants to “see her girls” as she says—of course, she hasn’t gotten off her duff and tried to see them all that much over the years. She’s all about Ann.

B&B’s Katherine Kelly Lang and Ashley Jones Reveal They Want Brooke & Bridget To Deal with Their Shared Past with Deacon

Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) of The Bold and the Beautiful was last Friday’s guest on BOLD Live, and during her interview with B&B supervising producer and host, Casey Kasprzyk, none other than Ashley Jones (Bridget) made a surprise appearance.

Once Jones arrived on the livestream (late in the episode), the discussion turned to wishing that Brooke and Bridget would get the opportunity to deal with the fallout from years ago between mother and daughter.

If fans recall, Bridget was married to Deacon (Sean Kanan), and then he had an affair with Brooke, and then Brooke became pregnant with Hope.

On BOLD Live, Lang said, “There is so much good story there.”  She then added, “I honestly feel Brooke and Bridget never dealt with that. It’s honestly something that was pushed down.”

Ashley shared on the current state of B&B’s episodes: “This is the juiciest the shows been in a long time.”  And on Brooke/Deacon/Bridget, Ashley concurred with Kelly: “Oh. 100% … they never dealt with it.”

Then let us know, would you like to see Bridget return and in-turn bring with her some meaty scenes between mother and daughter, especially given Brooke’s temptation with the bottle again? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
