This week, the cast, crew and creatives of CBS’ Beyond the Gates celebrated the taping of the freshman soap opera’s 200th episode. The series made its debut earlier this year on February 24, 2025 and became the historic first hour-long Black-led daytime drama.
Taking to social media (which we have to give kudos to the actors for this as they are very active on their X, IG and Tiktok accounts) the cast and more acknowledged this milestone in grand fashion.
The series, which is shot in Atlanta at Assembly Studios, will be wrapping production on season one shortly. Episodes from season one will continue to air throughout the end of 2025. Meanwhile, production will begin on season two after a brief hiatus. Those episodes are slated to air in 2026. Take a look below at some of the celebratory remarks for #BTG200!

Jen Jacob (Ashley) shared on Instagram, “200 episodes later and I am not the girl I started this show as. Ashley has grown me so much. There were days I showed up to work not recognizing myself. For good and for bad…but all growth. All a test to keep getting better. Stronger. More compassionate. Having faith in and patience with myself. It’s a pretty unbelievable thing to be able to witness dreams coming true all around you. To be fully present in knowing the experience you’re living is a big core life change—for everyone. And to do it among people I whole heartedly respect, learn from and aspire to be more like each day? What a gift. This cast and crew and creative team are truly lightening in a bottle.⚡️ CBS Studios, thank you for believing in us and letting the story continue to unfold. Can’t wait to see where Ashley takes me next.”
Jibre Hordges (Jacob) took to Instagram with, “200 episodes in the books! Wow. This journey has been everything I dreamed of. Don’t get me wrong, getting here wasn’t easy. Having to remember 30/40 pages of new dialogue everyday, basically doing a play a day, after 200 episodes, it’s a lot! But it makes it that much more gratifying when you’re living your dream, making a living from doing what you love so it never feels like “work”, knowing you’re inspiring the world each and every day on the number 1 television network. That’s the best feeling } Thankful to God for receiving that call back in October that this will be my new life. I haven’t stopped smiling since! I’m taking the next 2 weeks and getting back to traveling the world because after 10 months of hard work, I’m about to enjoy this Most importantly, thank y’all! For showing love and supporting the show. Keep tuning in because Season 2 is loading.”
