BIG BROTHER Comes To The Bold and the Beautiful Just In Time For Halloween!

Courtesy/CBSBigBrother.com
It’s going to be a household of Big Brother former winners and contestants and some that evenĀ just wrapped season 16 of the highly successful CBS reality series franchise, when some very familiar faces descend on to the CBS soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful!
As previously announced, B&B had plans to feature Big Brother’s Donny Thompson in an upcoming episode! The fan favorite also took home the prize on last night’s season finale for the “America’s Vote” winner of their favorite contestant!
However, TV Guide Magazine’s Michael Logan filled soap fans in, that not only is Donny coming to the set of the daytime drama, but so too are: Big Brother 16 players Amber, Zach, Cody, Caleb, Nicole, Hayden and Devin, plus past Big Brother favorites Brendon, Rachel, Elissa, Jeff and Jordan.
It seems that all the reality seriesĀ stars will appear in an upcoming Halloween episode of The Bold and the Beautiful that will air on October 30th and 31st, and that their are special plans for Donny Thompson’s time in soapland!
Thompson told TVG about his upcoming soap experience: “Being on The Bold and the Beautiful will be lots of fun. They’ve got me wearing all sorts of outfits ā surgeon, soldier, you name it. (Laughs) Wait till they see this back home! I’m going to be in scenes with Scott Clifton (Liam), who they tell me has three Emmys and that he loves Big Brother and is a big fan of mine. Huh? I’m just a little groundskeeper from nowhere and I have a fan who’s a big-deal actor in Hollywood? I’d be happy just to mow his grass.”
So what do you think of a Halloween episode filled with Big Brother contestants and winners on The Bold and the Beautiful?Ā Who are you most looking forward to seeing on the soap from the reality series?Ā Were you rooting for Donny in BB16?Ā Share your thoughts below!
Love Donny and Zach. Not sure why Devin was thrown in the mix though. I can’t wait to see this episode.
Thankfully Frankie will not be on. So tired of
CBS shoving him down our throats. He is such a
fame chaser. So is Caleb.
Vanessa…I agree. But I found Frankie to be WAY MORE ANNOYING than Caleb!!!!! To me, Frankie is ANNOYING PERIOD!!!!!
I agree Vanessa. I am done with him. I would call it overkill !
Looking forward to the episodes featuring the BB players! It would be great fun to have Donny playing a groundskeeper, speaking to one of the main characters as they walk into or out of Forrester Creations. Or they can take it entirely in the opposite direction, and have him play a professor or one of the other many professions the other houseguests thought he had.
Isn’t B&B supposed to be about fashion? How could they ignore the two biggest fashionistas in the BB house, Frankie and Victoria and take almost ever body else?
They’ve been doing it since the show was created, so I’m sure it wasn’t hard to exclude the obvious. I guess the show depicts its OWN reality (thus, we get “stars” from reality TV as well!) Might as well grit our teeth and bear it! The good ole days of soaps are long gone and NEVER EVER coming back!
Don’t know why we need them on B&B.
Why not??!
I didn’t think they really added anything and some of them (Donny) cannot act.
Meh! B&B disappoints with catering to these awful reality TV “stars” from equally awful reality TV series. I don’t watch reality shows, but B&B is using so many reality “stars” it’s blurring the lines. I may tune out for those days or at least FF through. If B&B keeps this up, I’ll tune out altogether. Not happy since I DO NOT watch B&B to see cast-offs from reality TV! For me, it’s another good reason to consider kicking the daytime soap habit!
CBS cross promotes all the time. They’re greedy, money hungry grubs!
Days is by far the BEST soap on daytime! It should have higher ratings. I wish they’d clean up the “messes” with their supercouples (past and present), so long-time fans that have left would have a reason to come back! Save John Black. Fix Jena nd Jack and have them running the Days news (she’s a journalist after all, not a PR person or whatever she does at the hospital!) Get Peter Reckell back or recast Bo — and have Bo and Hope be happy together and solve crimes/mysteries on Days (that would present limitless SLs and make a happy, stable couple that can be interesting while being entertaining as well. NBC and Sony can give Days a fighting chance with just a few simple fixes. Sad that our beloved soaps have been reduced to what they are now, cross-promotion be d@mn+d!
It is all about cross promotion– CBS has Big Brother, with it’s large fan base, they try to lure some of those fans to watch B&B to see their Big Brother faves– some of those fans may have never watched B&B or a soap– but might start watching solely based on this peek of this show. It is not catering to reality stars– it is catering their bottom line–
That’s fine, but many soap fans (loyal viewers of the show) don’t watch reality shows and are put off by this being shoved in our faces, cross promotion or not. What’s next? The hosts of The Talk acting as fashion consultants at a Forrester Creation fashion show?! Yuck! That will be when I tune out.
@Matthew Place— Actually on Y&R, Avery went on the Talk to promote her cooking show– mercifully we were spare actually having to see it, but they did promote the show on Y&R. But I agree with you, soap fans don’t really like when these “special” guests come onto a show– it adds nothing to the story and they are usually just awkward scenes– but as I said the networks don’t care about soap fans, only about business and in their minds this is good business.
No need for this on B&B. Put him on Duck Dynasty.
No need to put him on any TV show.
That is one humble man. Good Luck Donny !!!!
Congrats to Donny! He is truly a wonderful human being, his compassion for others is refreshing !
I look forward to seeing the other house guests also except Frankie, he
Doesn’t deserve anymore air time! Please !!!
Donny , Derrick and Cody All The Way!!!
I think this is a stupid move on the part of Brad Bell. He should be trying to save the genre, not do cross-promotion that could spell the end: If the ratings go WAY UP on Oct 30-31, maybe CBS will consider a daytime reality/docu-soap?! Yay! Go ahead, CBS. I won’t BE watching! š Cross-promoting with reality shows/stars is almost as absurd as ID counter programming against our remaining soaps by hiring beloved soap stars to host crime dramas and encouraging soap fans to tune in! ID has been calling these crime shows the daytime “stories”. Note to Brad Bell: Write a good soap and you won’t have to rely on so many gimmicks! JMOP
oh geesh! IT was just for a Halloween party! What’s the big deal?! It’s not like they had a story line. Geesh! Get a life and just enjoy it.
There are other things going on that matter so much more, so I will accept this as the mild annoyance it is — and hope it never becomes anything more. That said, is one of the networks/soap producers working on a docu-soap? NBC? Brad Bell? I get a distinct feeling that something is in the works. I don’t know if I read it some place? Maybe other soap fans know of this? Not sure. Just a feeling maybe. If on eof the networks built a show (reality soap) around a popular current or former soap star, I have a feeling lots of soap fans would tune in, but I would not. Just sayin’.
Looking forward to seeing Amber & Donny, I couldn’t care less about the others.
What doesbit matter. It will only be for a couple if shows. It’s not like they’ll become show regulars.
So excited about Donnie getting the chance to be on B&B. cant wait
I loved to see most of the of Big Brother 16 on the Bold & the Beautiful, I hope to see them again in future episodes, especially Donny, Cody, Zach and possibly Derrick. Thank you

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series ā Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things:Ā Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
