Soap Opera Digest is confirming that Roger Howarth (Todd), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), KristenĀ Alderson (Starr) and Michael Easton (John) are all headed to General Hospital and reprising their roles as the Manning Family and John McBain as they move over to Port Charles!Ā According to SOD,Ā the foursome will report to the set of General Hospital at the end of this month!
Frank Valentini, the new EP of GH and former head honcho at OLTL stated, “We have a very exciting story planned for the citizens of Port Charles, with Sonny Corinthos at the center of it! I am confident viewers and fans alike will be excited for the arrival of John, Starr, Blair and Todd, which incorporates the characters from One Life to Live and continues the legacy of the show as we weave them into General Hospital!”

GH and OLTL Alum Patrick J. Gibbons Reveals the Story Behind Writing Trinaās Song on ‘General Hospital’ (Exclusive)
At the conclusion of today’s August 21 episode of General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) sings a lullaby to baby Dez, that went into a montage to close out the episode as her father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) reports to Pentonville and winds up in his jail cell.
However, in a fun fact, the song entitled, “A Lonely Heart To Give” was actually written by none other than former One Life to Live and General Hospital actor, Patrick J. Gibbons.
Daytime fans first met Gibbons as Sam Manning on One Life to Live. At the time, when he started on the soap, he was just 5-years-old. Gibbons played the part from 2010-2013 on ABC and Prospect Park’s editions of the show. Fast-forward to 2018, Gibbons shows up on General Hospital as Wyatt Hoover, the scout who seemed always be injured, but in the thick of the drama. Patrick had appeared on GH multiple times as Wyatt including: 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

FROM HIS GRANDMOTHER’S DEATH CAME THE INSPIRATION FOR HIS SONG
Now in 2026, General Hospital fans are getting to learn about another side of Gibbons’ talent as a songwriter and guitar player after “A Lonely Heart to Give” debuted today! Michael Fairman TV caught up with Patrick, who is now a senior at Penn State entering his final year as a finance major, to get the back-story of how his song wound up on GH!
Gibbons explained he wrote the song in honor of his grandmother who passed away a few years ago with whom he was, very, very close with. “Randomly, my grandmother had a downfall and passed away during the second semester of my sophomore year. I was in my dorm a lot and I was just playing with my guitar. And at the time, I was really into finger-style playing. I wrote the lyric and music to it (with a little help from my guitar teacher Lou), and my mom showed the rough demo to Frank Valentini (EP, General Hospital). He’s like an uncle to me. Frank loved it so much he said, “Finish that up. I want to hear the whole thing, and I want it on the show.”
MAKING MUSIC FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Gibbons and his parents took the next steps! “So now, all we needed was a female voice, because I thought that would fit the song well,” Patrick shared. “At the golf club we go to my parents were at a dinner. They liked the singer that was performing and spoke to her about the song, and she says she would like to bring it to her ‘boss’ who ended up being Eric Bazilian of the Hooters fame!” (Bazilian also wrote the smash hit song “One of Us” for Joan Osborne).
Next, “We went in the studio and recorded it and the song came together and it was beautiful. We loved it. They loved it at General Hospital and now they’re putting it the show and they are coming in with a piano, instead of a guitar. Paul Glass, the GH musical director, has been keeping us updated over the last six months of how it was coming along, and when it would air, and how GH put their own arrangement to it. I can’t wait to see and hear what they did with it.”

PATRICK’S ONE LIFE TO LIVE FAMILY
Everyone knows that the One Life to Live extended family share a very tight bond, and Patrick said he does stay in touch with a few of his former One Life to Live co-stars, especially those from the Manning family! “I stayed in touch with Kassie DePaiva (ex-Blair) and sent her little videos here and there. She was like my second mom for five years. We keep in contact with Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr) over X the most, and she can’t believe how big I’ve gotten. Like, none of them can! (laughs). I also loved working with Roger Howarth (ex-Todd) and Trevor St. John (ex-Todd and Victor Jr.), and to me since I was so young, they were just my friends, ‘Roger and Trevor,’ not Todd Manning or Victor Jr.”
It was a trip to California and a visit to Port Charles that ultimately led to Gibbons second soap role of Wyatt Hoover. Patrick explains, “In 2016, Frank Valentini invited us out to Los Angeles to visit the set of General Hospital. I think he heard me say, ‘This is so much fun. I miss being on the set.’ He goes, ‘You should come out. I’ll bring you on the show. We can make you a character.'”
A few years later, Patrick’s dream became a reality! “Then, by the summer of 2018, I was playing Wyatt, the scout, and shared scenes with Wes Ramsey (Peter August), and the best was when I shared a scene with Roger Howarth and Michael Easton (ex-John, OLTL and ex-Silas, Finn et al, GH), it was like chemistry from the old days.”

IT’S ALL IN THE NUMBERS
As to his future aspirations, it’s a career in the finance game that has piqued Gibbons’ real-life interest. But never say never to a return to acting. Patrick explained, “I’ve always enjoyed numbers. And on top of that, one of the biggest parts of finance is being personable and outgoing.”
He continued, “That’s one of the greatest skills I developed growing up. I really love the markets. I’m super interested. I’m never going to close the door to acting. I’m always open to that because I just love it so much. It’s such a great art.”

‘General Hospital’ Alum Chad Duell Admits That He Didn’t Expect the Role of Michael Corinthos to be Recast, and Would Consider Working on Another Soap (Exclusive)
Chad Duell, the Daytime Emmy-winning actor, who stepped away from the pivotal role of Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, opened up about: his previous decision to leave the series after nearly 15 years, where’s he’s at now after time away from the demands of a daytime soap opera, and took a stroll down memory lane with some of Michael’s most-acclaimed storyline during his run, during a livestream chat on August 19 on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel.
Viewers last saw Duell on-screen as Michael in January of 2025, and with his successor in the role, Rory Gibson making his debut at the GH Nurses’ Ball in episodes that aired later in May. It was clear that during the conversation, Chad was a bit surprised that the GH brass decided to recast him when he thought he was just taking some much needed time off.
Burn-out of the daily grind of being on a soap was definitely a part of Chad’s decision to take a break. Duell explained “People know when you’re doing something for so long or your character is kind of in the same place for so long or doing the same stuff over and over again, you do get a a little burnt out, you get a little stiff, stale, a little stiff at times. I didn’t want that to be any sort of lasting impression. I have 15 years of a body of work of I’ve done on that show, which is fantastic.”

WHILE CHAD WAS AWAY GH RECAST MICHAEL CORINTHOS WITH RORY GIBSON
Chad shared, his mindset when leaving GH was, “I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.” Then he added, “Obviously, they decided to go in a different direction with Michael when I was gone. I didnāt think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, itās the business. You never know what can happen.ā
Duell also shared he has not watched a single episode of General Hospital since he left the series, but now feels he reenergized following the loss of his father and stepping away from the GH, “I’m in a place now mentally, where I’m ready to sink my teeth into it again.”

Even though he is no longer Michael on GH, Chad was very happy with his final storyline where Michael was set on fire when a bomb exploded at Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse. “It was fun to put him in a dangerous situation, because I was wanting Michael to be in something scary instead of trying to be a hero character or just things happening around him, but to be the center point of tragedy happening to him. (I always saw) Michael as the heart of the (Corinthos) family.”
When Michael was badly burned the show chose not burn his face, which normally a soap does when they are recasting role and switching actors. Chad weighed-in, “They didnāt burn my face because I told Frank Valentini (EP, GH) Iām willing to come back. It was just a little bit of a break. So, I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than meā¦ if thatās what their plan was.ā

MEMORABLE MICHAEL STORYLINES
One of Chad’s most memorable performances was the in the storyline of Michael’s rape while he was sentenced to prison in 2010 and the confession of it in 2011. “It was so well-written and I was very nervous,” recalled Chad. “When I get really nervous about something, it ends up being really good when I do it, because it just means I care a lot about it”
“I have to put a lot of effort and work into it, and I really want it to be good.Ā I was working with DominicĀ Zamprogna (Dante) and Steve Burton (Jason) a lot during those scenes, and Laura Wright (Carly). It was great working with Steve and Dominic, especially, during that storyline.
A NEW SOAP ROLE FOR CHAD?
As to a future soap opera role, Chad is open to the idea and would love to jump back in to a juicy role, “I know people over at The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless. They know that if theyāre interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what Iām doing.ā

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Ric’s History of Jealousy Where Elizabeth is Concerned Has Come Back Around
On General Hospital, Ric Lansing (Rick Heart) is about to fall back into dangerous old patterns by the foreshadowing during the Wednesday, August 19 episode. After first coming to see his brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and telling him of his plan to propose to Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst)Ā his longtime love tonight, Sonny has concerned.
Next, Sonny reminds his brother of what has happened in the past, when things have gone south with Elizabeth and wonders if it’s too soon for him to propose to her. What Ric did not tell Sonny is that he has seen the developing closeness between Sonny’s son, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth, which is propelling his urgent need to propose.
Meanwhile, Dante ran into Elizabeth at the park during a break from their mutual team softball games. She needs help with a bookcase after the game at her house. Dante wants to put it together for her. Later, Dante arrived at Elizabeth’s house, limping after injuring his knee during the game. Head nurse Liz wanted to check out the injury as much as Dante protested, which required him to take off his pants.

RIC BEGINS TO UNRAVEL
Outside Elizabeth’s widow, Ric arrives with a bouquet of roses and the engagement ring. When he leers through the widow he is shocked to see Elizabeth rubbing Dante’s leg while Dante is in his boxer/shorts. He storm troops into the house, demanding to know what is going on here? Both Elizabeth and Dante look surprised by his reaction. In the pick-up of today’s Thursday, August 20 episode (see GH video teaser below), viewers will learn the upshot for all three characters.
A VENGEFUL PAST
As longtime GH fans know, Ric has done some horrible, vengeful things in regards to Elizabeth starting back in 2003 after she lost her baby after Ric’s ex, Faith Rosco pushed her down a flight of stairs. Ric accused Sonny for the accident and to get revenge, Ric kidnapped Carly (who was married to Sonny at the time), and stashed her in a panic room below the house where he was living with Liz.
On top of that, Ric fed his wife Elizabeth birth control pills to keep her from getting pregnant so that they could raise Carlyās baby together after it was born. Eventually, Elizabeth found Carly in the panic room but ended up having a pulmonary embolism. When she woke up in the hospital, Elizabeth was all confused by what happened, and Ric convinced her that her vision ofĀ Carly was just a bad dream. Eventually, Elizabeth learned the horrifying truth and divorced Ric.
Years later, Ric noticed the connection between Elizabeth and “Jake Doe” who eventually turned out to be Drew (Billy Miller) A jealous Ric hired Hayden Barnes to show up and claim to be “Jake’s” wife. Elizabeth stepped aside, and when Ric planned to propose to Elizabeth at the 2015 Nurses Ball, Carly exposed his manipulations, and Elizabeth dumped him yet again. And those are just two examples of the lengths Ric will go to for Elizabeth!

I don’t understand why so many people don’t like the new Kate! She’s gorgeous and funny – much, much better than the boring old Kate.
Sorry Val, I just don’t SEE it! She is FAR from gorgeous, and she has ZERO chemistry with Sonny! It’s like they are just FORCING the two of them as a couple, down our throats, as if she was some great love of Sonny’s! Everyone knows that BRENDA was the love of Sonny’s life, and after her, it would be CARLY, and possibly even Olivia BEFORE “Kate”! (Let’s not forget, Hannah, Angel, Reese, etc… who ALL had more sparks with him that THIS chick!) She is just not a good match with him, and no matter HOW MUCH they push her down our throats, she doesn’t have, and never WILL have, any chemistry with Sonny–sorry!

Your right, she is FAR from gorgeous. They have to put heavy make up on that chic for her to be gorgeous. And her hair must be worn back. If its out, she dont look to good. I think they are forcing it. We neee a Brenda lookalike or Brenda herself back. Hannah would be nice BUT that would be strange since Johnathan Jackson is back at home in REAL LIFE with Hannah (Brenda lookalike). Who is Angel, can’t remember her? I wouldn’t mind them exploring the relationship of Oliver and Sonny, for a perfect family with Dante. I don’t like any of the Kates. Did you like the other Kate? Brenda could come came and fight with Blair about their husbands business ventures. I dont like they gave Brenda a baby. That was bad writing. They need to retrack that. It was horrible. Did you like the other Kate? Which one you like best if you had to. Why?

What about Jolie? Finally together after all these months waiting for him to find out Liam is his and now he is off to Port Charles. I am excited about this but they need to keep the storyline of Jolie to continue.
I cannot believe John will leave Liam and Natalie. Hopefully Melissa Archer will be asked and she will accept.
I waited many years for a Jolie reunion, and if Natalie (Melissa Archer) and Liam are not part of the package I will not watch. It doesn’t ring true to his character to leave his family. I am happy for the OLTL actors who are going, but feel like they are using our loyalty to OLTL to try and increase GH ratings. I wish GH well and am a fan, but I don’t want them messing with the John, Natalie, and Liam story. Micheal Easton should go on there as a Cassadine rather than John McBain if the characters of Natalie and Liam are not going.
Hope they have Natalie (Melissa Archer) join John McBain. I am so excited, I am sure all fans of OLTL. as we all will truely miss the show. I love Rex and Gigi and Shane and Roxy loved to have them on GH but I know they could only bring so many of but it would be cool for them to put both shows on together. Thank You
It will be interersting to see what they come up with as to why these characters are now in Port Charles. I’m very excited at the prospect that this will bring! I am also anxious to see if Jack (although I hope not, since Micheal is one spoiled, entitled, bratty kid too many, at this point) and Sam make it too. How would they explain Todd and Blair leaving them? As well as how they would explain John leaving Liam after just finding out he is his kid. Now that GH has a bigger budget, they defintiely need to get rid of charaters that aren’t important to the storyline or history and bring back those we love! I. E., Jax and Nikolas! Hopefully they could persuade Jonathan Jackson to come back too and lighten his work load since that’s what caused him to leave in the first place. And MAYBE they could even bring back Vanessa Marcil and fix the mockery they made of my beloved Brenda the last time she passed through town!
I totally agree! If John McBain goes to Port Charles, then Natalie has to go with him! Otherwise, this storyline just isn’t gonna work for me and a lot of other fans. I waited a long time to see Natalie and John to finally get back together, so I really don’t want it to get messed up or taken away if John goes to PC without Natalie. Also, I’m wondering how long the OLTL characters will be on GH? I still want OLTL to continue somehow, even if it’s only on once a week!
I’m beyond thrilled as ever!!! But we need the rest of Llanview to arrive in Port Charles, especially Natalie w/ Liam in tow to be with John McMBain!!! I also wanted to see Dani and Tea Delgado too, O and cute Jack Manning, along w/ Clint & Viki, Rex &Gigi w/ Shane, Roxy too.
I’m excited as ever for February to arrive. I’m happy as a clam. Blair better not throw Carly out of any windows.!!!!

Uh, if they bring on too many OLTL people, GH will become OLTL.02! LOL! I am glad to see these fine actors reprising their roles on GH (even though it’s a soap I never could get into). I will give it a go when they make their first appearances. I never would’ve gotten into OLTL if it hadn’t been for the Bianca/Babe/Kelly babyswitch storyline in 2004. And, I never regretted watching every minute of it for the last 7 years! I wish them all the luck!
Isn’t Jack Manning cute? He gets such a BEATING UP ON. I love those MANY facial expressions he makes, along with that High Sch boys walk of his. And his acting will get better, he is just a rocky yet. People have to keep that in mind.
I agree! John without Natalie & Liam is just too tragic. Love the fact that GH is making space available for some of the actors to relocate to GH. There’s more room… Ethan’s storyline with the lady in white is boring, and Ethan has so much more to offer! Please keep Ethan, and clean house. OLTL had a lot of spectacular actors on its show, and they need the work! š

We need to bring in more stars from One Life To Live lets bring in Natalie, all Todd’s kids, his twin brother and his wife. Also bring in vicki, clint, and Jessica. Now that would make for a very exciting soap with the best of OLTL and the best of GH. We can do away with the woman in white her doc, the old story line with the Cassadines. Keep Sonny and Kate, his kids, Carly & Jax, Sam and Jason, of couse Luke& Emma his kids, Maxie her parents. You can keep the dr’s at port charles but dont see any reason to have much of a story with them. That seems to be pretty borring. I think with the group of OLTL and GH this could be the best soap ever combining the best two soaps there every was.
Natalie needs to go to Port Charles too! I don’t want John with Carly & she would go after him right away. If we can’t keep OLTL as it is the next best thing is to incorporate it into GH, make a blend of the two. Sure can’t hurt GH & would give us OLTL fans a little peace.

Natalie needs to go to Port Charles also. I would hate for them to get back together on One Life to Live at the end just to end up not together on General Hospital. That wouldn’t work at all. Please bring back Natalie with John on General Hospital.

I’ve always liked John and Natalie together, but she’s a bit much. She got over Jared waaay too quickly and zoomed in on John when she knew John was with Marty. Although I don’t know how they could possibly get John to GH without Natalie, especially after getting them back together again and knowing that Liam is his son, I’m sure the writers will figure out a way. Either way, for me, Natalie won’t be missed.

Yep, it is a shame. I woke up with a feeling of loss this morning knowing that oltl would not be on again, at least in that format. I know it is just a show, but for a lot of us it is tied into other things that have happened in our lives. While I was taking care of my dying father we would talk about the shows together once in a while….

What a stupid idea! John McBain – of the hugely popular pairing of John and Natalie – will be going to GH without Natalie and Liam?? You know they will be testing Michael Easton with Kelly Monaco! This will piss off Jolie and Jasam fans…and be a disaster. Plus, John is a good, smart cop and Sonny and Jason are never wrong in the fictional world of PC…this can’t be a good development. It proves to me that ABC wants GH to be canceled. I won’t watch this!
I am one that has never watched GH.. but to see how this is… shows that ABC is trying a bit… I am still pissed about the whole canceling the shows thing, but willing to give it a try… never know.. might some how bring on something cool, and make GH a better show, for ones like me to watch…

Like so many other fans, I’ve gotten VERY SKEPTICAL, &, by the way ABC has been canceling their SOAPs one after the other, it sounds like they’re LEANING more toward CANCELING “GH,” too, than not!

What is with all this vitriol? Believe me, when the OLTL actors go to GH, it will be to blend them into the stories going on now, not the other way around. And, if OLTL fans DID outnumber the GHer’s, GH would’ve been cancelled, not OLTL. GH is the highest rated soap on ABC.
WHAT vets? That’s the whole problem with GH-their lack of use of the best! When is the last time Alexis had sex? She has virtually no storyline. Tracy with awful old Anthony? GROSS. They ran Luke into this ground this year-awful what they did to him. Lucky is gone, Robin is gone. Bobbie who? What does Monica do everyday? Now Carly playing with Johnny? Jax creeping around in the shadows? NuKate-not a winner. Does anyone realize that Michael is the full blood grandson of Monica Quartermaine & Bobbie Spencer? THIS IS HISTORY that should be written around every day! When he was in prison they should have visited him. When he was in a coma they should have been seen at his bedside. your right about all the the cast ,thats because everyday its sonny this and that,I dont want anthony with tracey ,but for some strange reason I like him ,johnny has to a have a father ,anthony does have a way with words,he always makes me laugh, I did not like when he brought lisa out of the coma she was in ,I wanted to reach out and strangle him.but aside from that I like the guy,they have to retire all the mob people,I dont care how ,they just got to go.and bring back the quartermaines.
Gloria i don’t disagree with you, i would love to see Bobbie, Monica, Lesly, and for sure more balance, i know everytime someone criticizes the show they go to sonny or jason or carly as their pushing bag, thats what the old regime did wrong they made the show center around these few characters at the expense of the others, but its not the actors fault, we keep forgetting that Maurice and Steve are extremely popular actors with a huge following and they are paying the price and the blame for what the old regime did wrong. but hopefully this new team coming in will do their homework, and balance this show rich history.

Exactly. I complimented you earlier today. I am a GH fan..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rather it’s Boring or not. I put on the channel and listen to it and program my TV to come on when I’m not at home at 3pm, so it can get it’s ratings. I dont want this show to turn into OLTL. Especially with them puting character’s on like Blair and Starr which are not COMPLEX, and dementional to fit into GH. Todd is, but he doesn’t deserve the job offer, after vacating the role too many times to count, and the rest of the cast is on the unemployement line. If they wanted to use some OLTL character’s, it should of been the MOST COMPLEX one. Jessica, John McBain, Roxy, Dorian, Victor, then I would exact Todd and Roger Howarth going for storyline purposes only.
I agree. I’m not a GH fan (although I will check out these changes), but bringing over too many OLTL actors will just dilute what GH has going now. Sorry that OLTL was cancelled, believe me, but I’m sure the writers want to incorporate the OLTL actors into the GH canvas without turning GH into OLTL.02.

Some GH fans (who aren’t OLTL fans) might object to this crossover, but I think that it’s great! I look forward to McBain (hopefully, Natalie and Liam will join him eventually) and the Mannings mixing it up with the citizens of PC. Looks like I’ll have to start tuning in to GH again at the end of February.
I am a HUGE GH fan and was always interested in the Manning family. The little I’ve seen of them over the years has been great. This really is going to be awesome.
Blair is washed up. She’s a boring character…time to let her go. You couldn’t think of someone else to bring along..or at least someone younger. Kassie DePavia looks a little too old these days..needs some work done. And that southern drawl. I just can’t see this mix. And the Star character is so over played that she is annoying. Josie, I agree with you that her character is not fitting for Port Charles. Blair fits best in Landview with it’s ‘s cow boys and gals, and plays well with Blair’s Southern drawl. The character of Blair and Starr you can find on ANY soap, kinda like you said regarding Starr…. being way overated. For a OLTL character to go to GH, they need to be extremely COMPLEX and different. Victor, Roxy, Jessica, Vicky, Dorian, John, and yes Todd. But Todd, Roger Howarth isn’t deserving of this having vacated the role more times than people can count, while the other actor’s are on the unemployement line, including Trevor St. John, who was dismissed, when Howarth returned. I will not forgive OLTL for this, no matter how much I love the show, nor abc. Howarth comes back for 5 months, and gets the new gig, NOT. It’s **** **!
Kassie DePaiva is the most gifted and beautiful actress on OLTL (and she is exactly 50 — and looks fantastic!). GH is lucky to get her.

What about Natalie and Liam? They need to be with John, since he is going over to PC on GH now. They need to get married and be together like a family. Liam is his son. I know that he does not want to be away from his son. He wants to be with him. He ought to want to be with his mother, Natalie.
John cannot go to Port Charles at GH without Liam and Natalie.
Starr cannot be without her daughter Hope either.
They, also, need to get some people over from AMC as well over there.
OLTL better end happy in order for them to go to GH’s turf to continue on.
PLUS, the more people that go to GH from OLTL, the more OLTL fans will watch GH because of the people of OLTL.

I can’t stand Roger Howarth! The only reason i started watching OLTL again is because they replaced him with Trevor. He’s a marvelous actor and not bad to look at either. Gluggggg. I can’t fathom why anyone would want Roger Dodger over Trevor. Have basically watched OLTL and GH since they started. Love these soaps, but your right GH has slipped a bit out of 1st place for me and OLTL had crept into the slot. I hope this all works.!

John just got his son back, why would he leave both of them? I am glad they are on for however long it lasts, but Jolie fans have been waiting forever…why would they leave her out especially since they were going online before it fell through? Oh well.

Do not want. Crossovers are a desperate attempt and I don’t think they need to alienate GH viewers even more. Then again, I don’t watch OLTL. If it brings more fans/ratings, cool. But if it also alienates established fans of GH in the process, is it really worth it? Wouldn’t that balance out the status quo?
i really don’t think gh viewers will be alienated – i have watched gh since the early 60’s & oltl since 1971 and i think this is an excellent move – i think it will bring the fans of both soaps together……jmo
Ethel, with all due respect, you watch both shows. I’m talking about those of us that solely watch GH. A lot of people have wanted to jump ship as viewers for awhile now- myself not included- but the show has gone through so many changes this season that something this big *might* alienate viewers of only GH. It may not but it could.
What a brilliant move by Frank Valentini, and I am sure the first of many!!!!! I look forward to how he and Ron set the new canvas for Port Charles and their cast of wonderful characters!!! I am sooooo very excited about this move, and cannot wait to see the Mannings and John in Port Charles, they will fit in perfectly. John and Dante will be a good team at the PCPD!!!!! I am hopeful that Natalie will come at some point as well, as I would hate to see John only in work related storylines. Bravo Mr. Valentini and lots of good luck to all those involved. How about Rex taking over the role of Lucky Spencer or even a new role? I would love that too!!! I am on the positive train, and am hopeful that GH and all those involved with the show will have lots more longevity at ABC!!!!
I agree with 99% of what you wrote! FV is trying to gain viewers to GH by bringing over good talent from OLTL. Kudos abc for allowing this once you realized the hard way what an awful mistake you made cancelling the other soaps.

Clearly ABC knows they cancelled the wrong show. They should take responsibility and cancel GH and bring back OLTL. This OLTLizing will be a mess. It a cheap stunt to shore up dismal GH ratings. As a fan for over 15 years, i won’t watch because One is the whole package, not just Todd. And ABC will do it again when Katie Couric gets her show.

I have to agree with Mr. Max. OLTL is a vastly superior soap to GH in writing, acting and remembering the history of the show. Although I miss AMC, it had been suffering for at least 4 years with poorly directed storylines that went nowhere, characters coming and mysteriously disappearing with storylines hanging. GH has gone down that same road. Bringing over OLTL actors can only help GH and increase viewership.
I’m not cancelling GH, Bob Iger and the Disney Board of Directors are. I’m just saying what is in the works, Katie can be stopped. If you want to stop this I suggest you buy lots of Disney stock and exercise your rights. Or get people to contact the Disney board, advertisers, and large investors and convince them they are making another mistake. IMO if they cared about the viewers, this would have never gotten this far. It should be clear that only economics rules the day. And, yes I am nuts (for OLTL). š

I liked the AW few that moved from Bay City to ATWT and Oakdale but it did not last. Considering who in charge of GH now, I have to hope this relocation will work better. I wonder what the Mannings will do in upstate New York? Did we not read the actor playing Tomas Delgado was headed to GH, too? Hmmmmm… a renewed triangle? I assume Todd will be able to move on without murder charges hanging over his head in Llanview. It will have me following, for sure!

I sat thinking the other day that maybe they should put some of OLTL’s actors over on GH. I was shock when I actually saw the first commercial for it! I am very happy to see this, but not so happy when I saw a name missing on the list. Hello…Natalie!! She and John just got back together. Now you want to seperate them! Ugh… I wish Farah and JP were going over there too. I guess you can’t over due it though. Well I hope it brings in more viewers for GH. I would hate to see another great long time soap go under.
I am so thrilled! I am a die hard OLTL fan and watch GH 20 years ago. This is wonderful news! I just set the DVR. Although I am still devastated that OLTL was canceled, this eases the pain a bit.
This is just ABC’s way of trying to keep the fans quiet. While I am happy for the stars who are going to be on GH, this is just bull. I still plan to boycott ABC daytime including the View. I hope that those that have made the same decision prior to this announcement, maintain their conviction.
