BREAKING NEWS: Tristan Rogers on his way back to General Hospital!

Well, we heard the rumors that since General Hospital’s Kimberly McCullough will be exiting her role as Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake in the not-to-distant future, that the powers that be were planning on bringing back her on-screen parents for the sad scenario and more!
First, GH announced the Daytime Emmy winner, Finola Hughes would be reprising her role as Anna Devane. But this afternoon TV Line exclusively has learned that Tristan Rogers is returning as well as papa Robert Scorpio!
According to TV Line’s Matt Mitovich, “Rogers is due back on our screens in mid-February, and not for a short stint but “the foreseeable future,” I am told. And though a GH rep declines to confirm Robert is returning for Robin’s exit story… that’s where the smart money is at, amiright?”
It will be great to have Tristan back where he belongs after he was recently ushered off The Young and the Restless!
We don’t know about you guys, but we think the Scorpio drama( if handled and written well), could give the ailing GH a boost, plus the arrival of Frank Valentini and Ron Carlivati who officially started yesterday steering the ship in Port Chuck!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Sonny wants answers. Ava is struck with inspiration. Curtis’ trial begins. Brook Lynn wrestles with a big decision. Lucy and Serena scheme.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 6
Sonny makes a stunning announcement. Serena makes her move. Willow faces a new threat. Isaiah takes the stand. Lucy questions Laura.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

General Hospital Fan Club Weekend brought out many of your favorites to the four day event; with the main cast gathering on Saturday, August 1. Fans near and far attended the weekend held this year at the Burbank Marriott Hotel. Whether it be the main cast event or the smaller more intimate events featuring two or three cast members a great time was had by all.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.

I would love to see a Robert/Luke adventure. I think Tristan & Anthony have some serious talent. Maybe with Robert back, Mac can get a real storyline?
Tristan had awesome chemistry with Geary. My God. And he looks so like a brother to Mac Scorpio. I would like to see a brother relationship with those two. Brother issues, and crime problem solving together, but then with Robert, back sliding as a Law abiding citizen bc of his friendship and THICK as THIVES relationship with Luke. Geary has awesome chemistry with Sonny, but they never utilized it much. They should of been best friends in the show, and been more partner’s in crime, so all the wait wouldn’t of been on Maurice (sonny) in terms of going home and studying long pages of script. They were best friends in the show at one time but the show changed the direction of that. Even Geary has said when accepting Emmy’s, he has thanked Benard (sonny) for being such a FORCE when they work together. Geary needs to be challenged with the BEST, and although Benard is excellent, he needs a break in memorizing so many lines. Sonny can have a life/problems that isn’t ALWAYS about the mob,
It’s not too many that Tristan Rogers doesn’t have chemistry with, honestly, he even have chemistry with babies/children and pets. The guy is a chemistry magnet and so charismatic. I am so glad he’s back on GH.
DAMN! I wish he had more sense then to return to the show willing to kill off his beloved (on-screen) daughter (which, come on, they so are!). Though I think he, Ron and Frank will gel really well, I didn’t want him to return now as a show of support for what they’re doing to Robin.
GH didn’t have a choice. Sadly, Kimberly McCullough (Robin) chose to leave the show and pursue her dream of directing (or producing) films. With her not planning on coming back, and Patrick not leaving the show (thank God)… It seems the way to go. I don’t like it… But understand it.
Oh I understand GH had a choice. GH was absolutely right to! I just wish TR said not at this time, and wait until the tragedy of Robin’s death died down (forgive the pun). TR isn’t shy about speaking his mind. A boycott and a statement from TR explaining why he refused to return would have been enough for me to email him a kiss from me.
……Though if, (and it’s a small if), they really aren’t killing Robin off, then I stand by TR and his decision to return and wait for it on pins and needles.
Sadly, Kmc is leaving on her own and the show must go on without her. I don’t want her to leave but what can they do? I am hoping for the Scorpio’s to become prominent in the city again, lord knows the port charles police Dept need Robert Xavier Scorpio!!
Well, it’s about time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh, I am soooooooo excitied.Robert X.Scorpio is back!! Now I have to start watching GH.
Now THAT’S what I’m talking about! Bringing back the big guns…first Anna, now Robert. To the soap gods that are listening–please make Laura next!!!!

A Y&R viewers loss for sure, Thanks for nothing MAB! I guess we have Jack/Genvieve and Kevin/Snookiegirl who needed a couple with awesome chemistry like Jill/Colin.
You never know, it may benefit Y&R viewers. MAB may see him on GH and want him. LOL She seems to value the popular veteran actors working on other soaps and now TR is one of those once again.
Congratulations to him hopefully they will treat him better than the Y&R writers did. If GH or Scorpio’s run ends I sure hope Y&R scoops him up. Let’s hope there’s new leadership and writing at Y&R before that happens so we can see a true romance for Jill and Colin.

Tristan Rogers had so much heat in his scenes with Jess Walton (Jill). It is a shame they had to make his Colin a complete monster just to make Cane look like the good guy.
I’m so exited about Tristan & Finola returning, its about damn time, hope more legacy characters are coming home.
Legacy characters are def the way to go. Look at what they did for DOOL. It’s time for GH to be where they belong… On top!

I am so happy about this …To see both Finola and Robert back on GH is the best news I have had about my soaps …in months..only thing that would be better is to find out that AMC and OLTL had been saved!!
BTW, I like Y&R but they just did not utilize Tristan’s Talent effectively..imho..and I named my 2nd son after Tristan…hehe

Anna and Robert, but not Frisco and Felicia, nor Sean and tiffany. Frisco was ok, but Felicia, I hated a baby voice that NEVER grew up. Sean was fine, and Tiffany was mature BUT she never brought anything UNIQUELY her own to the role. Even her glamour seemed phony. It all 4 of them were brought back, along with Anna and Robert, makes 6., it would be TRYING TO RE-CREATE THE PAST, and that can not be done!!!!! Some of these people are not on screen anymore and therefore haven’t kept themselves up and screen ready. 2 out of those 6, Anna and Robert, only. That SB ige BS was just that BS.
I am mixed on this. I don’t want Robert and Anna back to kill off Robin. I want to see scenes with Robin and her parents with Patrick and Emma. Really hope FV and RC can convince Kimberly to stay or find a way to give Scrubs and Emma a happy ending.

Robin and Patrick are the reason i’m watching GH. fav. supercouple… i’m sorry she’s leaving the show… however, soap fan that i am… i was surprised to see Patrick’s chemistry with Sam… when he went back to the coffee house looking for his daughters doll… and they got to talking… drinking coffee together… it was touching. it would give her that long sought child she’s always wanted…. duh… i just forgot, she may be pregnant by “franko” that being said… it would make it easier… to see patrick with some one… and give robins little girl a mother.
It is about time for this to happen. I quit GH many years ago, due to the imbalance of the mob and their “heroic” ways. I peeked in every now & then to check it, and came away with “good riddance” each time. But now, with Carlivati and Tristan & Finola, it looks like a new day may be dawning. I absolutely will be returning to GH to see what they put together. No matter what happens I will boycott Katie Couric’s show. Sick to death of more talk/cooking/reality clone shows clogging up the airwaves. Thrilled that GH at least has a shot at surviving.

Excited about seeing TR and ES back on GH. Hopefully this time, it will be written right putting Robert and Holly back together. Otherwise, this will just be one more major disappointment. These returns always seem like a roll of the dice, you never know what you’ll get. Well I’m hoping this time the dice comes up Robert and Holly together.
