More “C”-list “celebrities”? The show has outstayed its welcome. Bring back Tom Bergeron and some contestants that folks over 40 can recognize and then we’ll talk.

Do people still watch this show? It’s been renewed, so I guess so.

I’ll watch to cheer on Mel C.

I don’t understand why they are casting professional dancers. I count at least three. One was on “Dance Moms”, one is a former Rockette, and one has professional dancer in their bio.

Used to LOVE this show; thought it the epitome of entertainment. But that was back with the original hosts and when Max was a regular dancer along with Derek, Julianne, etc. If I did still watch? I’d stop once they booted out Tom for Tyra; what an insult in their desire to “update.” And Amanda Kloots being a contestant is absurd. She’s a dancer! From her website: As a former Broadway dancer, Radio City Rockette and now celebrity trainer, Amanda will have you smiling through every workout.” How is that a fair competition? The show has gone off its original… Read more »

I agree with EVERYTHING, Rebecca1. For me, Tyra for Tom was the last straw. It went from fun to campy instantly. And what about that terrific Irish pro-dancer from years ago, Tristan McManus? I wish they’d bring him back.

Martin Kove was also in Cagney and Lacey and Brian Austin Green played Donna Mills son in Knots Landing. I’m pulling for them.

Carrie Ann Inaba Officially Departs ‘The Talk’

In an announcement on her Instagram and in an official statement, Carrie Ann Inaba has officially exited The Talk.  As we previously reported earlier in the week, the talk series was reportedly already looking for a male replacement for her.

Inaba was a featured co-host on The Talk for three seasons having officially replaced Julie Chen Moonves in 2019, after guest hosting since 2017.  But since April of this year, Carrie Ann has been on a leave of absence from the afternoon show.

In her exit statement, Carrie Ann shared: “I enjoyed my time at The Talk as co-host and moderator and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to grow with the entire Talk family as well as truly connect with viewers on such a personal level. I will miss The Talk, but I am excited for the next chapter both for myself and for the show.”’

Carrie Ann’s departure is said to be a mutual decision between her and the network.

On Instagram, Inaba shared: “I am filled with immense gratitude for my journey on @thetalkcbs. It has been a wonderful experience and an honor to have been the moderator at The Talk, following in the footsteps of two women I very much respect. @juliechenmoonves and @thesaragilbert. Dreams do come true, if you work hard for them. I have made beautiful and lifelong friendships, I’ve had so many unforgettable experiences, (be prepared for a few memories shared in the next few days), and I’ve learned so much from all the heartfelt and authentic discussions we’ve shared with you. My heart is full and content. I’m truly grateful for all that was, all that is (life is in perfection), and all that will be. To all my friends and family at @thetalkcbs I wish you a great Season ahead! And, I also very much look forward to my own future as well. 💕✨🌅 Life is good. And endings can be as beautiful as beginnings. ✨”

Inaba will continue on in September in her judges seat on the all-new season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

REPORT: Carrie Ann Inaba to be Replaced by a Male Co-Host on ‘The Talk’

The ever-changing face of CBS Daytime’s, The Talk continues.  Now comes a report from Page Six, that the series is looking for yet another male co-host, and this time to replace Carrie Ann Inaba, who has been on an extended leave of absence from the show.

If another male co-host becomes part of the cast, that would mean the once all-female dominated talker, will now have Jerry O’Connell, who was recently made a permanent co-host and whomever the next man up would be.

According to Page Six sources: “They haven’t announced it, but Carrie Ann is not returning, and they’ve been trying out comics and athletes to take her place.”

Back in April, Inaba, who also is one of the celebrity judges every season on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, took a leave from the show citing her health as the reason for her exit.  That came after Sharon Osbourne’s explosive and controversial on-air moment in March with Sheryl Underwood, and the fallout afterwards that developed, which insiders say did not sit well with Carrie Ann.

In June, when word got out that The Talk would live on post-Osbourne, Carrie Ann sent her congrats to the cast and the show and thanked everyone who worked there following the announcement that CBS picked-up the series for a 12th season.

So, who do you think would be a good male co-host to join The Talk? Do you hope Carrie Ann somehow returns, even though it looks  doubtful she would? Comment below.
