Photo: IMDB/JPI

Since Amanda Setton has taken maternity leave from General Hospital, so Brooke Lynn will looks a little different starting with today’s all-new episode of the ABC daytime drama series. Briana Lane will take over the role temporarily while Setton is on her leave.

Amanda went to say on her temporary exit from playing Brook Lynn: “I will miss her, but only temporarily! Looking forward to stepping back into her shoes soon enough!”

Setton had nothing but good things to say about her replacement: “I can’t wait to see what Briana brings to the character! I’m sure she will do an incredible job and will bring her own interpretations to this fun and complex character! I’ll be watching and rooting for her all the way!”

Meanwhile, Lane took to her Twitter account to express: “Honored to fill some big, wildly talented shoes and step in as the fierce and loving Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Working alongside such gifted actors and a kind=-hearted crew on such a legendary show has been a career milestone… So happy to be on board!!

Lane has appeared in American Horror Story, NCIS, All American, and 9-1-1 to name a few.

I missed the boat on Brooke Lynn… she’s so hard looking… her persona is so different from Ned. heck even Lois. i have no interest in her. i have yet to see one scene take, in which she’s adversarial… familial… but then again… look who she’s working with… Lulu and Michael… so i’ll give her a small window. will she take the bait from Valentin, to be a recording STAR… God the GH WRITERS stink when it comes to material… why would Valentin… yeah, he’s wanting control of ELQ.. but to waste Valentin w/Brooke Lynn? here comes Ned and Michael… Read more »

Not happy with this replacement. Not enough oomph for Brook Lynn

Oh, I could really get to love THIS Brook Lynn.I don’t care for A.S, too harsh persona. Today Brook Lynn’s take on Lulu-Hoop was spot on! Maxie is such a pain in the butt, so emotional, pregnant perhaps?
This crap with Dante is just that because we know they are bringing his sorry ass back soon enough.

I like the temporary replacement better as well. She reminds me a little of a younger Catherine Zita Jones. I also like the temporary actress playing Samantha. Now if they can get some temps for Maxie and Lulu, I will really be happy. Let the temps take over.

No offence to the ladies playing Brook Lynn, but I would prefer they send her whole storyline and character back to Brooklyn.

During the hiatus we got to see BLQ v1.0 as brought to us by Adrianne León, reminding us of what a good little actress she was and some of the great story lines of yore. Was she even considered to reprise the role? Always partial to those that got us here–it’s like old home week, a real treat for the audience to see actors return…which is not to be confused with what happened to Gina Tognoni at Y&R (Welcome back, Michelle! Gina, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.) which was as unceremonious as it gets and… Read more »

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Peter’s On Ice, But Is He “Dead” Dead?

Wednesday’s episode of General Hospital provided more to the back-story of what Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) did with Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) body after Finn tussled with the guy and Peter fell down the stairwell and hitting his head on the wall, to his supposed death.

In story, Liz became worried when thinking back to how she suggested to Finn – and that they carried out –  putting Peter’s body in a freezer in the sub-basement of the hospital.

As she recalls their plot (to keep Peter’s body from being discovered until they have time to move him permanently), Anna  (Finola Hughes) is on the move of the hospital and uncovers a hidden service elevator that might just take her to the sub-basement, where she could discover Peter’s lifeless body.

But hold the phone! While we know it was revealed that Wes Ramsey departed GH, could it be that Anna could discover the freezer with no sign of Peter in it? Do you really think his reign of terror is over given that he is Cesar Faison’s bio-son?

Share your thoughts: Do you think Peter is really dead, or will the character come back to haunt everyone and try to get revenge on all who tried to stand in his way of Maxie and his child? Comment below.
