Charles Shaughnessy returns this week to Days of our Lives!

This is the week that Salem favorite, ISA Shane Donovan, played by Charles Shaughnessy first reappears on to the Days of our Lives canvas thrown into a prison cell in some foreign country, with a very special guest cell mate, Rafe Hernandez played by Galen Gering.

51st Daytime Emmys: Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa Receive Talk Show Host Nominations
On Thursday, nominations were announced in the Outstanding Talk Show category for the upcoming 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, All My Children) coming off his first-year as co-host of ‘Live” with real-life wife, Kelly Ripa scored his first Talk Show Host nomination along with Ripa who has been nominated previous times.
Joining Mark and Kelly in the race are: Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, The View
Kelly Clarkson, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, Sheryl Underwood, The Talk and
Tamron Hall, Tamron Hall.

As previously reported, The Talk is coming to its end when its upcoming 15th and final season ends in December of 2024.
The 51st annual Daytime Emmys are slated to be broadcast and stream live on CBS and Paramount+ on Friday night, June 7th
Look for the full list of nominations to drop on Friday morning at 12 noon ET/9 am PT.

51st Daytime Emmys: Outstanding Daytime Drama Series Nominations
On Thursday, the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards revealed nominations in several key categories via four entertainment news programs: Access Hollywood, E! News, Extra and Access Hollywood.
Three of the four announcements were major categories in the field of Daytime Dramas.
The nominees in the Outstanding Daytime Drama Series category are: The Bay, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, Neighbours and The Young and the Restless.

General Hospital won this category last year, and has the most all-time wins for a series in this category. For the first time, the beloved Australian-based soap opera, Neighbours is now eligible for competition due to its reboot which streams on Amazon Freevee.

The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be handed out in ceremonies in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ on Friday night, June 7th.
Previous categories announced tonight via the entertainment news outlet included: Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

51st Daytime Emmys: Tamara Braun, Finola Hughes, Katherine Kelly Lang, Annika Noelle, Michelle Stafford, Cynthia Watros Score Lead Actress Nominations
The nominations were revealed for the 51st annual Daytime Emmys. in the prestigious Lead Actress in a Drama Series category by Entertainment Tonight.
This comes ahead of tomorrow’s full list that is set to be unveiled at 12noon/9am PST on Friday.
In the running for this year’s Outstanding Lead Actress are Tamara Braun (Ava, Days of our Lives), Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, The Bold and the Beautiful), Annika Noelle (Hope, The Bold and the Beautiful), Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hospital), Cynthia Watros (Nina, General Hospital) and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, The Young and the Restless).

Previous winners in this category include GH’s Finola Hughes, Cynthia Watros and Y&R’s Michelle Stafford. Days of our Lives nominee had won in the Supporting Actress category twice in her career.

I think it would be absolutely amazing if they would be able to find a way to work Charles’ “Shane Donovan” character into the show permanently. I’ve missed seeing him on DOOLs as I know all of his fans have.
I for one cannot wait to see Shane Donovan back on Days of Our Lives terrifically portrayed by Charles Shaughnessy. I wish so much that Days of Our Lives would sign Charles on to play Shane as Bo and Abe could use some help in Salem getting rid of the bad guys! I would love to see Shane working on reuniting with Kimberly. I would like to see Andrew and Jeannie all grown up. I would like to see Charles and James Scott together in a scene, I would bet they’d be terrific playing off of each other.

I would love to see Charles Shaughnessy and Patricia Pease back on DOOL and working on a reunion. The fans haven’t forgiven the writers for breaking them up and this is the perfect time to make amends!!! Their chemistry is unmatched ~ they are magic together!!!
Yes! Absolutely, I’d love to see both Patsy and Charles return to DOOL on a longer term basis. I haven’t watched the show in about 20 years but I’d be eager to return as a viewer if Patsy and Charles returned for a story that thoughtfully and responsibly reunited Kimberly and Shane and addressed the issues that led to their separation. In light of how things ended between Kimberly and Shane, there are numerous avenues to pursue from a storyline perspective. Kimberly’s trust issues, Shane’s weaknesses, and the interferring role of Shane’s job on the relationship should be sufficient to get them started! 😉
I would love to see Shane and Kimberly back on Days of Our Lives, long term, as in forever! This couple was the best daytime had ever seen. No other couple has came close. Shane and Kimberly are THE Super Couple of daytime. Enough said.

47 Year old male here. My Aunt got me hooked on Days when I was in High School in the 1980’s. I loved all the Super couples back them, including Bo and Hope and Justin and Adrienne and especially Kim and Shane.
I am hoping for somewhat of a reunion as they are both will be returning for Alice’s funeral. Crossing my fingers.

Bring back Kim and Shane for Days 45th Anniversary and have them get remarried in Salem. You will increase your ratings by 200% with a Shane and Kim wedding. We loved Kim and Shane they were the best superr couple of all time.
