Chloe Lanier Making A Return To General Hospital
Look for naughty Nelle to be back on all-new episodes of GH, and that means fans will get to see more of Daytime Emmy-winner, Chloe Lanier!
According to Soap Opera Digest, Lanier will be back on-screen after leaving the show In August after two years with the daytime drama series.
When Chloe left the series, Nelle was carted off to prison for her deceptions and crimes, but according to her chat with SOD, she is back because she ‘has some unfinished business with some people.” Lanier’s return stint starts next week.
So how will Nelle’s re-emergence impact Lucas and Brad who are raising Nelle and Michael’s son? Will she seek more retribution on Carly? Stay tuned. After all, Nelle gave her baby to Brad in the now notorious baby switch, which we have since learned that baby “Wiley” has a heart condition that can be traced back to Michael’s side of the family,
Glad there will be more Nelle coming up on GH? Comment below!
She’ll start blackmailing Brad and Julian for something. That’s how she rolls!
I like Chloe Lanier. I think that she is a great actress. Unfortunately, the character was written into a corner with no redeeming qualities. Although, some would argue that the same could be said about Ava, Carly, and Sonny. Although, I LOVE Maura West. And, I have a soft spot for Maurice Benard, “The Dimpled Don.” I have been a fan of his since his “Nico Kelly” days on AMC. And, I LOVED Sonny and Brenda in the 90’s.
Yea, LOVE me some Nelle! Great actress!
Chloe’s return is for a short stint so the baby drama will be quickly resolved.
I can not picture Michael as a father, no way..
The baby’s purpose is for drama, a drama tool, that will after be seen once a year.
and after- Brad and Lucas will be off screen, also.
It will be dull and low drama with snivels but it will not be grabbing so ehhh get it over with LOL I have no interest in it.
Same as Ray, Kevin’s twin, the supposed manic killer is a cream puff, no drama anything with him.
Even while kidnapping whats her name it will be mainly drama free nothing spellbinding.
GH writers can not write a mystery or a thriller, they just are not capable of putting us on the edge of our seats, as once was.
What pisses me off is that back in the day, a story like this would last over a year before we got the payoff. I’ve said it before not too long ago-the stories wrap up too quickly these days so keeping us on the edge of our seats doesn’t happen anymore. when Sheila took Lauren’s baby on Y&R, Lauren didn’t find out for 18 months, OLTL was great at dragging out stories that I used to swear at my TV when I thought a story was going to be wrapped up. I still love the soaps but they just aren’t what they used to be.
I couldn’t agree more. Baby switch storylines always have greater impact and provide more ripple effect when they play out over years. Wiley being taken away from Brad and Lucas when he is old enough to realize what is happening would provide infinitely more story possibilities than a switch of a few months.
Of course it won’t matter any way because Wiley will instantly bond with Sonny and identify as a Corinthos and never give Brad or Lucas a second thought the instant he is returned to Michael.
James, its the world we live in now. Everybody wants “Theirs” now or I will hold my breath! No build up anymore. However, there are those who complain that you can still watch a soap once a month and still know whats going on! [They probably dont watch anymore]
Let’s see what happens when Nelle is back on the canvas but I will be disappointed if they wrap up this story as quickly as I think they will. The fun in watching soaps is waiting and waiting for the day all hell breaks loose or when our favorite characters get intimate. I would say all the cuss words when I thought the day was finally here the big secret was revealed only to have some cliffhanger come along to make me wait some more. I think I even made up some new ones because the suspense would kill me. Haven’t gotten that in a long time.
So funny you’re saying that because if you go on other sites all the fans complain and complain ad nauseum how long the stories take to finish. This Ryan story? I think he stepped foot, literally, in the hospital one time and they wanted it wrapped up and done. It didn’t even BEGIN!!!! And they were saying they weren’t going to watch until it was over. They hate the new DA, they hate basically everything and everyone except Carly and Sonny. It’s unbelievable.
And Michael’s baby? You’d think someone in their own family had a child kidnapped. They’re done with this story, how long does Michael have to suffer, blah, blah, blah.
Blah! LOL!
Michael will make a great father; not sure if you were watching when he was raising Avery but he was so good with her. If only he would keep his child away from Carly…
Yes I am glad Nell is back, great stories, great character, and great actress! Maybe she will be Nina child too.
Oh good, I hope she really stirs things up with Brad and Michael’s baby.
Well that was fast…
Yay…so glad she is coming back.
“if only…. god… if only” to put us out of our misery
killing off Chad Duell… dullard Michael Corinthos
it is aching and painful to watch him at any thing… his pitiful scenes with his parents.. so syrupy to see carly doting over and appearing almost righteous with both Michael and Josslyn… she’s just not believable.. truly
because this family play the same scenes over and over
Now I appreciate a Patrick rant just as much as the next person, and have done so for years. Mind you, not always agreeing, nor for that matter, understanding, but appreciating your passion nevertheless. Enumerating the “dullards” [insert cast list, Frank, Shelly, Chris, and let’s still throw in Jean, just because], never ceases to amuse, but I think you’re being too hard on Chad Duell. He plays the adult in the room quite well, delivering perfectly capable, understated performances. When given the material, he can excel, and he showed that opposite the hugely talented Chloe Lanier.
Michael and Nelle had zippo chemistry. Nelle wore the pants in that act. that car crash w/Nelle… was all Nelle… Michael lame drawl at getting a confession… achingly laugh out loud when Sonny was doing his best to “rescue” Michael as he was stuck in his seat. eye roll from Frank Valentini top draw
even watching Josslyn “bitch” slap Nelle .. as she tried escaping from the hospital… that rough tussle had Josslyn fans screaming just like Momma. as Josslyn roared with some fierce and her lioness .. as she stood firm… no one messes with my family . ho hum
stuck with Michael and its fair to say Joss is making inroad. have to cheer for some distraction
I mean really.. there was CArly once again giving Ava the third degree.. telling Ava she’s not getting Avery tomorrow… as it’s Morgans anniversary and that the whole family will be together… it was so mind numbing as even Jason got in the sniveling antics w/Carly… Ava is telling JASON that it was she who saved his life… Jason tells her he gave her the formula for her face… etc.. it’s just lame how Shelley and Frank and Chris just do the same things.. over and over… ^^^^ as posted above, all their scenes are the same… whew thank god I hope the writers keep Michael away from Chase… as BFF? they have nothing in common.
Patrick….you know how I feel about your expressive, eloquent writing….your discriptive visuals always touch me, as no other.
What drivel that!! What nonsense!! How archaic!! How self-righteous. It has been tried on me. ….was squashed in a New York minute. I love you, Patrick!! Keep trekking, my friend. I, for one, am a fan!!
Be yourself ….there are some people who think they are overlords–infallible—better than others. Do not listen to those who think they have a better grasp of characters and storylines….a superior mind. When elephants nest in trees will I kowtow to such insufferable, inconsequential despot mentality.
Keep writing your stuff, as you see fit.
❤️
I really think the actress is top-notch but the writers have written Nelle into a pretty quick corner before sending her off to a short prison stint. I’m not sure how they are going to justify her being out of prison so soon. Hopefully, it won’t be anything that will glare brighter than whatever story they have planned.
Of course, it seems most likely she’ll be back to reveal somehow that baby Wiley is really Jonah and then we’ll see Brad and Lucas go off the canvas, as well as Nelle, again. We, the viewers, will be left with another months-long story that will have no real pay-off. I hope I eat those words and am pleasantly surprised by what’s coming up.
I did wonder why they left Nelle’s picture up in the opening credits when they were sooo quick to remove Dante’s and later, Jordan’s. I thought this might have been in the works.
And while I’m at it, though it has nothing to do with this thread…I read that they told the actress that previously played Jordan that she wouldn’t be on much. This new Jordan is on all the time. Don’t get it….Also, Laura is back. They need to be just as quick putting her back in the opening as they were taking Dante out…And while they’re at it, Kevin has been on a lot for months. Why not add him, too?
I knew down deep it couldn’t be true she was gone, for good… I hope the baby will be the only reason, she is returning… I couldn’t watch G H thinking She’s Back as a regular… If she tries to hurt Carly I hope the writer’s know she is the one who be hurt !!!
imagine, if Chad Duell’ Michael was killed. this would give Sonny and Carly new material for the next 3-4 years. He’s simply put… the worst actor in all of daytime… except perhaps Devon @ Y&R
So that means the Morgan drinking game would end? HOORAYYYYY!
I’m certainly “happy” for Chloe Lanier.. that she took the high road.. and hightailed it so fast outa Port Charles… WHO in their right mind would be stuck and/or saddled with Sonny and Carly !!!!! ???? Michael ????
I certainly hope Dominic Zamprogna, ( Dante ) is faring well… my hats off to you… Frank Valentini has no imagination … only his agenda.
of course, the top draw that was Corinthos’ Bryan Craig… STOLED their show .. any way. I’m certainly ecstatic that he’s no where near the dullard (s).
celebrating these two actors spiral… they have only themselves to keep.. and it’s all eye roll blech and fast forward.. on any thing Sonny and Carly. Michael isn’t even a mention. DEAD
I will patiently wait for Disney / ABC / General Hospital to FIRE Frank Valentini
wasteland .. and it’s all your doing
Yes, I’m glad she’s coming back. Love her wicked character!!
No no no. Can’t stand the girl.
No..not happy she is coming back at all! She never fit in to begin with. No chemistry at all between her & Michael and I could not stand her acting..no talent. So dissapointed as I was done with her boring storyline!!
Well, if it means Brads deception and lies get exposed sure come back Nelle. This is wishful thinking but maybe she will cross paths with crazy Ryan and he will end her.
I don’t mind if its only for the short haul, to enlighten everyone to whom Wiley really belongs to, and not those two nitwits he’s with now. Lucas is OK, but bad Brad, shouldn’t even still be working at GH, let alone in the lab, where people’s lives are at stake, and he having the means to change them on a wim, or a few dollars. So Nelle, come back and do they right thing, and back to prison with you!
isn’t this just further proof.. that Shelly and Chris along w/Frank… have no stretch or reach… ??? simply cannot make a story … there’s no emoting outside of the obvious… even their acting is tame with nothing registering. bring back Nelle to cut to the quick. OK… Michael gets his child.. and carly is a grandmother. la de da. end of story.. thank the soap gods for Chloe Lanier and Max Gail… who are both deserving of Emmy’s… it’s gotta be a shoe in for Mr. Gail… he’s so much fun then….. AND currently. I had to google.. I was all of 16 when Barney Miller aired… ooh la la
Its to soon! They just made a big thing about her leaving and now she is coming back. I think Valenti has ADD! Tell the damn main stories on the screen now and then focus on Nell and the baby thing after at least ONE of the stories is written from the beginning until the end!
#1 You are doing a great job with Mike and his illness. Keep it up.
#2 Ryan and Felicia. Kill Lucy off. Felicia kills Ryan and Laura and Kevin can finally move on. BUT, dont do this in three weeks! Have Ryan feel more and more uncomfortable around Laura. Have Ryan get more frustrated with her. Have Ryan kidnap Felicia and keep her all to himself for months! Have deadbeat Frisco roll into town to save Maxie’s mother. Have Frisco and Mac work together. USE CHARACTERS US VIEWERS STILL CARE ABOUT!
Then bring back Chloe!
Baby Wiley Corinthos..he will rob other babies of their pacifiers as he goes on a crime spree at The Local Daycare Center and will never be given any time out because of it…after all, these Corrupthos never do much time for their crime!!!!
Hysterical stuff, Jim! But your underlying premise is unfortunately true. The whole Corinthos saga is illustrative of why so many former fans stopped viewing and why so many current fans are disappointed.
I have a few relatives who stopped watching for exactly that reason
Perhaps I am related to you, Jimh…. Take care, Friend.
Yeeeessss! We need you, Nelle, to bring some fireworks to an otherwise tiresome cast and unappealing storylines.
You go, girl !!
I wholeheartedly agree with you, Celia! You have precisely delineated what many fans see. Best to you, Friend!
Hey, James,
Glad to hear from you, my friend…Yes, Nelle is an anomaly–unique. Love her!!
❤️
Thanks a million, Celia, and take care.
maybe she is really Nina’s daughter and not the newbie
I hope not. I really like Sasha (so far in the little we’ve seen her). She’s gorgeous, she seems stable, warm and she and Nina already have so much in common. I REALLY hope this sticks and it’s not some scam or mixup. That’d be too cruel after all the longing Nina had for a child. I don’t think Valentin would be part of it if it was but I wouldn’t put it past her evil mother to cause her more pain as a “parting gift.”
Fingers crossed Sasha’s the real deal. I can already see her with Griffin or Chase!
Hello, Jimmy,
You know what I think? This Sasha situation is too simplistic……Something’s off.
Yes, there seems to be a similarity between her and Nina,…..but, Kiki is her bio daughter……Sasha could be a twin.
Who knows, Kiki may see the chain on Nina’s neck and wonders why she happens to have the other half?
Do you trust me?? LOL
❤️
I knew Nelle was going to come back eventually even if it’s just for a short stint because she has to be part of the conclusion of the baby swap story.
Hoping this is a very short-term return. Unlike some of the other posters, I DO want the baby switch cleared up ASAP! Then I want Nelle gone for good! Good actress, terrible character who they destroyed, and now can’t be redeemed.
