Christel Khalil To Appear On Upcoming Episode Of Y&R

Photo: JPI

Although “Lane” fans of The Young and the Restless have been heartbroken that actress Christel Khalil (Lily) decided to go off-contract with the CBS Daytime soap opera, she has been making some guest appearances since then, and there is another one coming up!  Circle, Friday, October 25th when Lily is back in Genoa City

In story, Lily was sent off to prison for her part in the car crash that took the life of Hilary Curtis. Still guilt-ridden, and with problems in her marriage to Cane, Lily decided not to return home to her family.

The last time Lily was back in action in Genoa was in June of this year, when she attended the dedication ceremony for the late Neil Winter’s plaque.

It will be interesting when Lily returns on-screen this time, because now we have a Hilary doppelgänger in Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) smack dab in the middle of the Chancellor will drama.  What will happen when Christel shares scenes again with Mishael Morgan?

Khalil told SOD in their latest issue on newsstands now: “I love working with Mishael.  So, it’s like the good ole days.  It’s so funny to have us there again. Daniel (Cane) and Bryton (Devon) were tripping out at first.”

So excited to see more Christel again on Y&R? Wish she would come back full-time, or do you hope she will continue to recur from time to time?  In real life, Khalil has relocated to Toronto, Canada from Los Angeles.  Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

I’ve been wondering about Lily alot lately when I watch Y&R. Maybe she might give us an extended visit.

I am glad that Christel is open to coming back to the show for a day or two when Lily is needed for story reasons, but I have to confess I don’t miss the character on a daily basis at all.

Nah, I was glad when she went off-contract.
I think the main reason I didn’t like Lily is…I can’t stand Cane!
If Lily comes back and is not tied up with Cane, maybe I’ll start to like her. However, as long as she’s with Cane, I can’t stand her!

Time to cut Cane and recast Lily again and bring back Davetta Sherwood who should ve never been fired in the first place
Lane fans hold y n r hostage . Poor Cane couldnt even get a mature relationship with Tracey because Lane fans went mental
If Cristal doesnt want to come back permanently bring back Davetta to really do battle with Mishael

I hope Christel likes cold weather and the snow..Quite the change in lifestyle for her I would imagine.

Tonight beginning at 7PM PST/10PM EST, Michael Fairman will celebrate his 60th birthday with the help of his virtual “party” guests from your favorite soaps to benefit the SAG/AFTRA Foundation’s Covid-19 Relief fund.   The event will be livestreamed on The Michael Fairman Channel on You Tube.

Scheduled to participate are: The Young and the Restless, Jason Thompson, Amelia Heinle, Sharon Case, Christian LeBlanc, and Jordi Vilasuso, General Hospital’s Laura Wright, Wes Ramsey, and Chloe Lanier, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Katherine Kelly Lang, Days of our Lives’ Rob Scott Wilson, Eric Martsolf, Galen Gering, Arianne Zucker, Shawn Christian and Stacy Haiduk, Santa Barbara favorite, A Martinez, and One Life to Live’s Kristen Alderson and Eddie Alderson, and more.

About the reason for tonight’s event: In early March of last year,  COVID-19 closed down nearly all productions, forcing tens of thousands of SAG-AFTRA artists to lose their survival jobs as well, (including restaurant jobs and the like) causing distress and economic uncertainty in Los Angeles, New York and nationwide .  On March 16, 2020, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation activated their COVID-19 Relief Fund for SAG-AFTRA artists in urgent need.  Since March, they have given more than $6.2 million in emergency aid to over 6,500 SAG-AFTRA performers and their families facing hardship and uncertainty during this pandemic. Thousands of SAG-AFTRA artists found themselves in dire need of assistance to help pay their rent, buy groceries, cover health care premiums and other bills. There are many industry charities, but the SAG-AFTRA Foundation is the only organization that gives 100% of its relief funds to SAG-AFTRA performers.

Throughout Michael’s virtual birthday party livestream, a link will be available to enable viewers, if they wish, to make a donation to the SAG/AFTRA Foundation Covid-19 relief fund here.
