Colleen Zenk Wraps Her Run on The Young and the Restless, EP and Head Writer Josh Griffith Shares, “We Appreciate All of the Incredible Work”
The Friday, January 24th episode of The Young and the Restless, brought with it the demise of Jordan Howard, played by daytime veteran, Colleen Zenk. After several comebacks and having more than nine lives, evil aunt Jordan did herself in, when in story, she drank spiked tea that turned out to be laced with an overdose of sleeping pills, once she was cornered with no way out by the Newman family.
After wrapping up her run on-screen, Y&R’s executive producer and head writer, Josh Griffith shared in a statement to Deadline, “We appreciate all of the incredible work that the amazing Colleen Zenk brought to The Young and the Restless and the role of Aunt Jordan.”
The character of Jordan was a major secret and casting coup when she first arrived on the scenes back on episodes in November of 2023, which tied her to another new addition to the Y&R cast, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

Claire turned out to be Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) biological daughter then known as Eve – that they believed had died, only Jordan had stolen the baby after it was born at the hospital and raised Claire on her own and away from the Newmans as payback for Victor’s treatment of her sister, Eve Howard (the late Margaret Mason).
Jordan’s death was sweet revenge for Claire, as she was the one who drugged the tea that ultimately killed her aunt. This one last hurrah for Jordan was a surprise revelation and her being in cahoots with Ian Ward (Ray Wise). When viewers last saw Jordan, it was back in June of 2024 when Victor (Eric Braeden) turned her over to the police and everyone believed she was behind bars.
Soap fans know Colleen Zenk best for her performances as Barbara Ryan on As the World Turns, a role she played from 1978 up until the series final episode in 2010.
So, are you glad that Jordan is dead? Sad to see Colleen Zenk exit the show? Do you think Jordan is this time ‘dead-dead’ never to rise again? Share your thoughts via the comment section.
Although I only watch Y&R occasionally, I have been watching CZ all week on the show. I have always thought she was one of the most beautiful, elegant lady on daytime. I remember several years ago, I suggested she would make a great sibling for Kate on DOOL. Can you imagine the catfights? Bravo to you, Colleen. Keep living well.
She is fabulous! Such a joy to see her again. She deserves the Daytime Emmy for Guest Actor!
I agree.
powerhouse actress, nobody could have played it better
Classy attractive actor trapped in a poorly executed role. Would have loved to see her slowly build a place in GC, infiltrate society, and craftily build a trust among the Newmans before breaking havoc. Jordan was only shrill and whacko. Could have, should have been so much more exciting and surprising.
I love Colleen Zenk but Josh wrote her into a corner when she killed Seth– I’m like there’s no way you’re going to be able to redeem this character. But I’m glad Josh wrote her as much Crazy Barbara as he could without getting in trouble with P&G.
Good actress. Dislike the character ,
I love Colleen Zenk on soaps! She is the best of the best and I wish she could stay on as Aunt Jordan on Y & R. She makes the show most enjoyable ! She should have her own show.
You bet I’m glad. I was sick of her shennanigans.
CZ is the best! Should get Emmy nomination for Y&R despite the current writer. Will always remember her days on my other fav ATWT. GL and ATWT are legendary daytime soaps!
I loved Aunt Jordan‼️ I looked forward to her character everyday she is an amazing actress‼️I don’t know how she can remember all those lines! I have a hard time just remembering my own name ‼️ lol
Colleen had to work extra hard to portray this character, because it wasn’t in the writing. Seriously, the people at CBS and Sony can’t sit back in their chairs and say how PROUD they are of this product, because it just stinks. Like putting lipstick on a pig. And meanwhile, Traci Abbott has vanished again.
Y&R is in terrible shape.
I loved watching her on the young and the restless.I loved watching her on as the world turns. Now I think she would be a wonderful GH recast for Helena cascadine with plastic surgery at the clinic in Germany. She will be a wonderful devious Helena
I adore her! I wish she were able to be cast as a new character on Y&R. She elevated every actor in every scene they shared. She is fabulous and forever gorgeous.
I think C.Z was great but I don’t like how they will really never let us know if she’s dead or alive. Did she really die, and if so, what was done with the body or did Claire fake her Aunts death, and same question applies, where the hell is she?
I sure hope Jordan is NOT dead-dead. Colleen Zenk is an incredible actress & because of that made the show come alive when it often is very stale. I definitely want to see her back. Loved watching her & Victor’s back & forth. She made every scene she was in worth watching no matter who else was in it.
Ms. Zenk did amazing work with the thinnest of plots.
As for her final farewell…..I’m not convinced. Jordan may have a little Stenbeckian luck in her corner….
If you mean James, he was the best, wasn’t he?
collean deserve better she deserve to stay on the show she is a fantastic actress.
Who is Collean? You mean Colleen?!
Goodness … I think all readers knew she meant Colleen. I type on my phone and make the odd typo too.
I don’t think Aunt Jordan is dead. Colleen Zenk is to talented and classy and actress for Y&R to let slip through their fingers. I feel her death has some how been faked either by her or Clair or Victor had her saved and put in a cell somewhere complete with Brussel Sprouts 🙂 Or Jordan had a twin who is ruthless but not evil like her that will come to town to seek revenge by going after Newman Enterprises
I always liked Colleen Zenk.So sad to see her go.I can remember her when she was on As The World Turns.Great actress.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”
So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
