That was a short break! Good news for Sally Spectra fans and for talented actress Courtney Hope!

According to her Instagram account, after having left The Bold and the Beautiful she is coming back.

Hope’s message expressed: “LL Guys!! It’s OFFICIAL. Sally is coming BACK! Very happy to be back home @boldandbeautifulcbs! Now, let’s see where Sally lands next?”

Now the questions remain: Will Sally seek revenge on Bill Spencer (Don Diamont)?  Will she fall back into the arms of Liam (Scott Clifton)? Will she become involved with another man on the canvas? Stay tuned.

Glad to hear more Sally is on its way to B&B? Comment below.

What’s going on in soap land? First Courtney’s out; now she’s back. Kin Shriner announces he out, now I hear he’s not!

Is Courtney back/back? Or a short arc back? Sooooo, she and Thomas decided they’re NOT in love and don’t want to be together? Are they recasting Thomas? Sigh…so much to keep track of! LOL! Well, if she’s back to stay, sounds good. Would have liked Thomas (Pierson Fode) to accompany her.

And Michael Fairman, I don’t believe you’ve mentioned Kin Shriner and all the news that was circulating about him being cut from GH. Was he? Has that decision been reversed? Is there a gag order? You’ve been radio silent…

I would love for Thomas (Pierson Fode) to return with Sally, I love them as a couple…

I replied to your replies but they did not make it. And now I can’t remember what I was talking about-and am getting confused and a little frustrated trying to communicate with people. Hope for a brighter day.

I hope she is not going to be passed around the triangle rodeo. I forgot she fell for Liam. No to rekindling that. Love Pierson, great if he returns.

I need to be hired as a Forrester intern. But I am going to need executive privilege. Sally is welcome to join Forrester-focusing on off-the-rack fashions for women of all sizes and at a reasonable price. I would prefer that Bill leave Spencer and buy a ranch-planty of ranches in California, Love Harris Ranch in Coalinga. Huge cattle ranch with a lovely hotel and restaurants. In that case, he and Sally fall in love and ride horses.
Quinn is out as jewelery designer-tired of her weird sticks and stones and amulets. She is immediately transferred to the new Foundations Division-think Spanx, sister-and she can fit my largesse first and foremost and make me pretty-then several other plus size women.
Eric could do Bold’s version of an Alzheimer’s story-but I want long-term-years- of his gradual decline and Quinn’s love and care and frustration and possible affair.
More plus-size models on the runway-and I am happy to fill in as needed-as long as it is not during my lunch hour and if Sheila does her disappearance stuff while I am waiting to be fed-she is out out out.
Steffy needs to kill again and how about Pam after Steff-poo chips her tooth on a bad lemonbar. Liam is lost at sea. Hope is lost on a rowboat searching for him.
Jax goes back to GH and sleeps with Carly again cause she is mad mad mad and sad sad sad.

Watching The Resident again and really enjoying it.

Hey Phyllis!

I think it’s time we get you started on writing your own soap; there are characters, places and things screaming to be heard! 😉

Haven’t tuned back in to The Resident. Watching too many shows as it is. I need an intervention!

I need an intervention as well-and looks like I will have to do it myself. How I wish I had “alters” to carry me through difficult times. Nikki Smith used to take over now and then-only she left everything in shambles and me to clean up the huge mess. She hasn’t visited in a few years and for that I am grateful. I need to step away from here and the tv-and keep saying that and not doing it.

Great news! Love Sally.

Miss chatting with everyone- hard to get through and have a convo. Anyone else on twitter? Say hi if so.

This never made sense to me. Sally had potential for alot of story and Courtney plays her so well that Sally is very much a likable character. Glad to hear she’s still with us!!!

This is awesome news! Courtney Hope is a great actress and there is so much story to tell for the Spectra clan! I wonder if this means the rest of the crew will be back too?

HELL TO THE Y-E-A-H Sally should seek revenge on Bill!!!!! Bill…dude…be afraid…be very, very afraid…lol.

Later.

Yes! Sally is back. Now I can watch the Bold and Beautiful again.

Great News!

Glad Brad realized he made a mistake in letting Sally go.

Well I guess Thomas skyscraper couldn’t keep Sally satisfied!

Oh my gosh Brad Bell should be ashamed he is working over time to prove he is not even close to the writer his Dad was! The Liam show just so sad well it went back off DVR today he really have to do that to Taylor???

Yes, I am so glad to have Courtney back, she’s a wonderful actress, so natural and refreshing…I hope Brad writes a good story line for her…

What story would that be after Liam show god please cancel this show with all that is holy show Brad the door

I hope they don’t waste her by starting a triangle with Liam, Hope, and Sally. Her and Thomas werd so good togther. If I hear Hope tell Liam one more time that he is not a killer, I will scream. They keep rehashing everything over and over. They need to come up with fresh stories and new faces. Why they fazed out the Avants is beyond me. They should retitle the show The Forrester and Spencer show

B/B came to their senses! Yes they needed her back, we tired of the Steffy/Hope/Liam storyline!!! My goodness we went like two years with that and it seems they want throw it at us again, REALLY? Can the writers not come with something new, please!!!

Telling the same story lines with same actors is boring even DAYS has B/B beat right now. Come on B/B wake up!

Wonder if Patrika (can’t remember her character’s name), Saul, and Darlita will also return.

This is great news. Love her as Sally. Bill was smart fans over at Y & R we’re hoping for her to take the roll of Summer Newman.

GLAD TO HEAR THIS NEWS….COURTNEY IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR TO THIS SOAP THAT REALLY NEEDS NEW INTERESTING STORYLINES…….EVERY DAY, SAME OLD, SAME OLD……

Yay! Now maybe they will send Hope back to Europe???

Hopefully! The character is so annoying!

thank god she is amazing now hope can go

Where is Courtney Hope Sally we need some good new story this round and round with Liam and Hope Ridge and Brooke has become soooo boring spice this up or I’m done for sure come on Sally and company!!!!

‘General Hospital’ Alum, Chad Duell Releases New Music Track, ‘Static in the Quiet Room’

Duelly is in the house, once again! This time, former General Hospital and Daytime Emmy winner, Chad Duell (ex-Michael) is back with his latest single after revealing just over a month ago that he has switched, for now, his focus to creating music under the “Duelly” banner.

The initial musical genre has been EDM (electronic dance music), but this time out, Chad has given listeners a bit of a different vibe still with electronica present and more upfront vocals than his previous track, If You Need Me.

Now, the former Michael Corinthos, took to his Instagram and shared his new track Static in the Quiet Room which is available on all music streaming platforms including: Spotify, Apple Music and You Tube Music.

Chad shared on the new single and the collab within in it: “I’m really excited to finally put this one out. Static in the Quiet Room is about that weird space when you can feel someone you were close to slowly becoming distant. They’re still there, but somehow they don’t feel as close anymore. Like you’re trying to hold onto something that’s already starting to fade.”

The former General Hospital star where he played Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) son, Michael for 15 years added, “I’ve been experimenting a lot with music lately and trying to find my own sound, and this is probably one of my favorite things I’ve made so far.  This was also the first time I actually worked with other professionals on one of my tracks, which made this one a little different for me. Really hope you guys enjoy it”

As GH fans know, Duell decided to exit the long-running ABC soap opera after 15 years looking to pursue other career interests and opportunity and to take a break following the passing of his beloved father. Rory Gibson became Chad’s successor in the role taking over on-screen in  late May of 2025.

You can check out a preview of Static in the Quiet Room on Spotify below.

Now let us know, did you like this track of Chad’s? Happy that he’s pursuing one of his other career goals? Miss him on GH? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Tamara Tunie Opens Up About ‘Beyond the Gates’ Co-Star Clifton Davis Emmy Snub, and Her ‘Bittersweet’ Nomination Upon Scott Bryce’s Death

Beyond the Gates scored 15 Daytime Emmy nominations, the best-ever showing for a series entering the Daytime Emmy race in history for the first time. Among those 15 nominations came the news of the well-deserved nod for Tamara Tunie as Outstanding Lead Actress for her role of Anita Williams Dupree.

Tunie is nominated in the Lead Actress category along with her TV daughter, Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree). For both actresses, this marks their first Daytime Emmy nominations.

However, one of the main actors on the show, Clifton Davis, who plays Anita’s husband, Vernon Dupree, did not make the list for the Lead Actor finalists.

CLIFTON DAVIS TOOK LEAD ACTOR OMISSION ‘LIKE A CHAMP’

In a talk with Gold Derby, Tunie addressed the omission by sharing, awards are a “dice roll from year to year.” She shared she hopes in 2027 Davis will get his due. Tamara offered up Clifton’s reaction to not being amongst the cast going for gold on October 30, the night of the Daytime Emmys in Hollywood.

“There were several other people who were overlooked, not just Clifton, and it’s all with a grain of salt, and it’s not a reflection on the work in any way, shape, or form,” the veteran actress explained. “Oftentimes, as we know in this business, there are other considerations and things that happen. Some votes may cancel out other votes, and it just doesn’t mean anything. It doesn’t diminish that he’s a legend, and he always will be. He took it like a champ. He’s been doing this long enough to understand that it doesn’t reflect the work at all.”

JOY MIXED WITH SORROW AFTER THE PASSING OF AS THE WORLD TURNS’ SCOTT BRYCE

In addition to the joy of scoring her long overdue Emmy nomination, Tunie also experienced incredible sorrow. The night before the Daytime Emmy nominations were revealed for Lead Actress on Monday, July 13, came the news that Tamara’s longtime friend and As the World Turns co-star, Scott Bryce, has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 68.

It was gut-punch to Tamara’s soul. She recalled, “He was my brother. I was so heartbroken and low, and then the announcement came that I was nominated, and it lifted my spirits tremendously. At the same time, it was bittersweet and poignant, because I know that Scotty would have been the first one to pick up the phone and call me.”

Bryce appeared as Craig Montgomery on the CBS soap opera from 1982–1991, 1993–1994, and 2007–2008. Tamara Tunie played Jessica Griffin from 1987 to February 1995, 1999 -2007, and one final appearance in 2009.

To honor her beloved friend, while Tunie was not able to attend Scott’s Celebration of Life service in Connecticut on July 25, she did write a beautiful tribute that was read during the memorial to the attendees.

TAMARA TUNIE’S DAYTIME-EMMY NOMINATED REEL SCENE SELECTIONS

Tamara also shared what scenes were on her nominated reel which includes: “Anita doing a rap, Anita being her own female impersonator, and Anita in what I call my Michael Corleone moment, when Dani has shot up the wedding and she comes into the house and I say, ‘Is this my daughter I see before me? How dare you!'”

In addition, Anita’s cancer journey is also part of the reel. Tunie explained how she was able to play the story which suc poignancy. “I have loved ones who have been on that cancer journey. Some survived, some did not. I was able to pull a lot of emotional information because of my experiences with loved ones.”

So, do you feel Clifton Davis was a definite Lead Actor Daytime Emmy snub? Are you rooting for Tamara to pick up the gold statuette given the heartbreaking loss of Scott Bryce and the scenes on her nominated reel? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Days Of Our Lives

Jean Lodge, British Actress and Mother of ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘General Hospital’s’ Charles Shaughnessy, Producer/Director David Shaughnessy, Dies at 99

Published

Our hearts and condolences go out today to Charles Shaughnessy (ex-Shane Donovan, Days of Our Lives and Victor Cassadine, General Hospital, and Maxwell Sheffield, The Nanny) and his brother, David Shaughnessy, one time executive producer and director at The Young and as well as The Bold and the Beautiful, on the loss of their beloved mother, Jean Lodge.

Lodge was a British actress who appeared with Alan Ladd in the 1954 medieval adventure film The Black Knight. She died at age 99 on August 5 just one day after she celebrated her birthday. News of her passing came from her granddaughter, Amy Shaughnessy who took to Facebook with a tribute to her beloved grandmother.

Throughout her motion picture career, Lodge was featured in 1949’s Dick Barton Strikes Back and Dr. Morelle: The Case of the Missing Heiress. Later credits included: Brandy for the Parson (1952), White Corridors (1951), Final Appointment (1954), Accidental Death (1963), The Eyes of Annie Jones (1963) and Invasion (1966).

THE SHAUGHNESSY BROTHERS CARRY ON THE FAMILY LEGACY

Talent runs in the Shaughnessy family as Lodge’s late husband, Alfred Shaughnessy, had developed and served as head writer and producer on the acclaimed 1971-75  UK series, Upstairs, Downstairs.

As daytime fans know, Charles Shaughnessy was one-half of the Days of Our Lives super couple of Shane and Kimberley (Patsy Pease) and has appeared on the soap opera on and off for decades starting in 1984 up until his more recent appearance in 2025 at John Black’s memorial. In addition, Shaughnessy was the last actor to play Victor Cassadine on General Hospital, a role he played from 2021-2023.

David Shaughnessy has continued his career behind the scenes mainly as a daytime soap opera director with a list of credits from Santa Barbara to Y&R, B&B and since 2019, Days of Our Lives.

HEARTFELT REMEMBRANCES

When Amy Shaughnessy took to Facebook to announce her grandmother’s death, she expressed,  “Jean Margaret Shaughnessy (neé Lodge) left us today, one day after her 99th birthday. She passed, as she would say, “quite quietly” and peacefully in her sleep. My grandmother was a beautiful, talented, complicated, passionate, emotional, energetic woman who was always on the move and full of life.”

She continued, “The perfect hostess Jean enjoyed parties, friends, socializing, the theatre, feeding the ducks, museums, gardening, music, culture, long walks in nature, animals, painting (she was amazing!), cooking, art, traveling… the list goes on. She loved her two sons, Charles and David, her daughters-in-law, Susie and Annie, and her five granddaughters, Amy, Jenny, Katie, Maddy, and Josie. She was blessed with two great-grandsons, Julian and Noa.”

“An ever-present matriarch, her silliness, stubbornness, joyfulness, and her love for storytelling will continue on through her family. Us. Forever. We will miss her. We will carry her with us always. We love her all the world and then some.”

Share your thoughts and condolences to Charles, David and Amy and the rest of the extended Shaughnessy family on the passing of Jean Lodge via the comment section.
