Darin Brooks On His Status with The Bold and the Beautiful and If He Could be a Lucky Spencer Recast on GH

This week, Darin Brooks took part in a livestream chat on You Tube’s Michael Fairman Channel where he chatted about his status with The Bold and the Beautiful, memorable moments from his time as Max Brady on Days of our Lives (a role that won him a Daytime Emmy), being a girl dad to his daughters Everleigh and Gemma with wife Kelly Kruger (ex-Y&R and B&B) and more.

Addressing if he will be back taping more episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooks shared, “So far, that’s kind of the extent of it. It is what it is.  I’ve been in this business for a long time and know soaps and I know things change and stories move and everything just kind of changes sometimes. I was there for 10 years, and it’s like my second family. I’ll always remember and never forget all the stuff that I experienced there. Brad Bell (EP and head writer, B&B) and the family, and everybody just sort of created an incredible past 10 years for me.”

Brooks shared that he had a conversation with Brad Bell after not working as much on the sho. Darin explained: “I just said, ‘Hey, you know, I haven’t really been working lately and all that, are we going to some of Wyatt?’ And he’s like, ‘You know, I don’t know if that is on the canvas right now.'”

However. Brooks knows things change in soaps so fast, that he could hear from Bell sharing, “Tomorrow they could be like, ‘We need you for some episodes.’

Chiming on if he thinks his recent scenes where Wyatt returned on-screen to tell his father, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) he was leaving Los Angeles was his actual exit moment, Brooks weighed-in: “I don’t know, maybe they did write that as sort of just a little bit of a good-bye, you know?” Brooks added, “But I’m not sure. They’re doing different things now, and I get that.”

Recently, Brooks’ name came up on the internet when fans were discussing recasts for the role of General Hospital’s Lucky Spencer. The role was formerly played by Jonathan Jackson, Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan. The last time viewers saw Lucky was back in 2015 when Jackson made a brief return.

When addressing if Darin had seen fans throwing his name into the mix to come to GH to take over the role, he admitted he had been clued-in that his name was being mentioned.

When discussing if he knew much about Lucky’s back-story and that the character was the son of iconic soap couple, Luke and Laura, Darren shared: “I got to look it up and do some research on it. I don’t know much about it. I think Scott Clifton (Liam, B&B) had mentioned something about it too at some point. He had said ‘I would be a good version of that character.”

When we filled Darin in a bit about Lucky’s struggles with addiction, Brooks said, “This is always fun to play as an actor.”  If Brooks were to be cast as Lucky Spencer, we think he would be the first actor to play roles on two different soaps with the last name ‘Spencer’ that are completed unrelated.

Earlier during the livestream, Darin shared that he actually screen-tested for the role of AJ Chandler on All My Children early in his career, and lost the role to none other than Jacob Young.

Do you hope The Bold and the Beautiful eventually brings Darin back as an on-contract player on the series? Do you see Darin as a good recast for the role of GH’s Lucky Spencer? Share your thoughts via the comment section below. If you missed the interview, you can catch it below.

Crap and he knows it.

Don’t get me wrong I like Db but he has not had a story since how many years and he knows that Brad is a ass but I understand this business you try not to burn bridges.

I really like Darin and think he’d be a great recast as Lucky! I hope the powers-that-be are considering this.

Doesn’t look at all like Lucky. He does have a resemblance to two of the previous Nikolas recasts though. Since it doesn’t seem like they’re going to keep Adam Huss around for more than one week at a time, maybe that might be a better fit for him.

Or he could go back to Days as Max Brady again?

Agreed he’s not right for Lucky but he could be an ideal Dillon

Yes – He would make a great Lucky re-cast. Laura needs a stable offspring in town to support her.

That show needs more male hunks – the women are sorely lacking choices over in Port Charles nowadays. Maxi might make a great choice to pair up with him. Sounds like a win-win to me.

NO! Jonathan Jackson is Lucky, just because someone looks physically similar doesn’t mean they should be considered. Jonathan’s blueprint can not be duplicated, leave Lucky off the canvas until the “REAL LUCKY” returns. No need for ABC to run another “The Real Greenlee” scenario when and if Jonathan should return because a recast is in the role.

Nice to dream, but Jonathan Jackson ain’t coming back to GH. I think Darin Brooks would make a good Lucky, too!

Since Wyatt is “going out of town”, he could easily head to Genoa City as Wyatt Spencer, and reconnect with Sally, and maybe be pivotal in helping Claire with her re-entry/recovery. I think Darin is too young to play Lucky, and it would be strange to see him and Rena on the same show but not Wyatt and Quinn. Regardless, it is B and Bs loss, but he is correct that he has not had any storyline in years, and his brother Liam is wandering all over the place with no storyline either. And I do not believe Bill fathered yet another unknown child – Liam and Wyatt are enough on that front.

No, he isn’t too young. The character of Lucky was born in 1985. Darin Brookes is 39, the same age as the character. I doubt they will bring him back though.

I hope he gets on another show soon he is so cute and talented. I can believe they kept Liam on yuck!

This really is B&B’s loss, because Darin is a great actor and Wyatt is a fun character to have around. As for the Lucky rumours, I don’t think Darin would fit that role well… I think he’d be much better as a recast Dillon Quartermaine. Imagine seeing him in scenes with Tracy, Brooklynn, Lois! That would be fantastic. As for Lucky, GH should do everything possible to get Jonathan Jackson back. He’s always been the best version of that character.

I agree Jimmy it is a big loss for bandb his brotherhood with Liam in particular was always fun to watch

Why must it always lead to gh Stay clear he can go to Yandr with sally or bring max back to days

Leave him on the bold and beautiful he is a very good actor I miss him he is so handsome bring him back

Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun Written Out of The Young and the Restless

Published

It looks like the current run of Lucas Adams (Noah) and Tamara Braun (Sienna) on The Young and the Restless is coming to an end, after the Monday, August 3 edition of the CBS daytime drama revealed that Noah and Sienna are leaving Genoa City and heading back to Los Angeles.

In the storyline, Noah informed his mother, Sharon (Sharon Case) and half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he and Sienna made the decision to move back to the West Coast to put distance between themselves and Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). Although Noah did not say it was a permanent move, he did assure his mom that once Matt is hopefully gone from Genoa City they could return.

However, as previewed already on the video teaser for this week’s episodes of Y&R (see below), it appears Noah left Genoa City’s The Shadow Room to be run by a returning Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). So with that, coupled with today’s episode, it would appear the move could wind up being more permanent.

COMINGS AND GOINGS

Adams made his Y&R debut on November 4, 2025 as the successor to Rory Gibson who last played Noah on-screen in April of 2023. Earlier in 2025, Gibson took over the role of Michael Corinthos on Genera Hospital replacing Chad Duell, who stepped away from the part after 15 years.

Braun who played Adam’s mother on Days of Our Lives when she was Ava Vitali and he was Tripp Dalton, first appeared on Y&R back on October 14, 2025, where we soon learned she had become Noah’s lover as the new character, Sienna Bacall.  It should be noted, Adams was on contract with the number #1 soap, while Braun has been on recurring status.

With Josh Griffith now exited as head writer of The Young and the Restless, and the newly announced co-head writing team of Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor having taken his place and starting their new tenure this week, it will be interesting to see how the duo resets the show, and if a Noah and Sienna return is in the cards for the future or not.

So, what do you think about the seeming departures of Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun from The Young and the Restless? Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out our recent live chat with Tamara and Lucas on the Michael Fairman Channel.

Rosie O’Donnell Says She Will Return to ‘The View’ During its Season 30

Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O’Donnell revealed that she plans to head back to a seat at the table of ABC’s morning talk show The View.

The announcement came during Monday’s episode of The Tangle Podcast where she shared she will participate in “in whatever way they want” her or “just as a guest” for its upcoming 30th season.

The View’s season 30 will kick-off this fall in September. O’Donnell explained, “They’re bringing back all the hosts, I think. And, you know, I’m pretty proud of that show, what it’s become and how it really speaks to the people and to politics.”

ROSIE ON HER PREVIOUS GO-ROUNDS ON THE VIEW

As fans of The View know, O’Donnell famously had two different one-year stints on the talk show in 2007 and again in 2014- 2015. She often feuded with then co-host Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

However, during her discussion with host, Kyle Ridley on The Tangle Podcast, O’Donnell also noted she often had tense moments with longtime moderator and anchor, Whoopi Goldberg.

O’Donnell also expressed, “Many, many people got the short end of the stick there. It was, you know, it was a factory where people were being churned in and out and their tenuous security, nobody got to be calm. It also was a show at the time that was run by a man. A show created by a woman, for women, about women, and the man was deciding what we should talk about. And that didn’t sit right with me, you know.”

Back in 2023, Brooke Shields had asked Rosie on her podcast, Now What? with Brooke Shields, about how she felt on her two stints at The View and all the controversy that surrounded it. Rosie at that time, stated, “I know this, it’s not the best use of my talent to get in a show where I have to argue and defend basic principles of humanity and kindness. It was not something I’d ever do again.”

You can check out the clip with Rosie and Kyle Ridley discussing her return to The View in some form for its upcoming 30th season below.

Then weigh-in: Would you be excited to see Rosie, even for a one-day or a week guest stint on the upcoming celebratory season of The View, or not so much? Let us know via the comment section.
