DAYS John Aniston Addreses Question: Would He Ask Daughter Jennifer Aniston To Appear On The NBC Soap?

John Aniston is celebrating his 30th year on Days of our Lives as Victor Kiriakis, and he gave a recent interview to Glamour’s Jessica Radloff.

During their chat Aniston reveals: what storyline made him most anxious, his favorite DAYS leading ladies, favorite storylines, and of course, some anecdotes the  way that they can only be delivered by the revered Aniston. One of the big questions that has resurfaced from time to time  by media outlets has been if John thinks he can ever get his superstar daughter – motion picture and television actress – Jennifer Aniston to appear on the long-running NBC soap opera (now celebrating its 50th year on the air), so they could work together as father and daughter?

Aniston began answering the question like this to Glamour:  “We sort of worked together on Search for Tomorrow.  She was an extra. (Laughs)  She was 13 or 14 years old. I had her down at the studio one day and Jane Krakowski was on the show, and Jennifer was in the green room and met Jane and they were talking.”

Then when asked if he has ever asked Jennifer to appear on DAYS? John admitted:  “No. But, yeah, (it would be cute). There’s elusion to Victor’s staff…”  Radloff suggested Jen play a member of the Kirakis staff, to which John replied jokingly:  “Yeah, she could, but all we have is the butler. And you never see the butler.”

So, do you think it’s time John asked Jennifer Aniston to do a few scenes with him on DAYS, and make a guest appearance? Share your thoughts below, and let us know if you would want to see it happen!

I am surprised that John Aniston never worked with Jennifer on “Friends”–especially since the show had a running storyline where Joey had a role on “Days of Our Lives.”

True, never thought of that!

It would be phenomenal if she did a cameo & worked with her father for a few scenes.

I have always wondered why she hasn’t done a cameo. I thought maybe he was against it–but it doesn’t sound like it. I would think NBC would have pushed for it during Friends.

She doesn’t seem to be doing much lately so yeah she should go on Days.

I think that decision would be up to the show, so the better question should have been has Days ever asked John to ask his daughter to be on the show. Otherwise I doubt actors can just walk in and tell producers to put a relative into the show, although in this case, they might not care because of her fame, but if she was just another struggling actor or B list then might have an issue with a cast member doing that.

HELLO AND HI..leave it to to the true posters to look at a question posed with an answer at the ready..If he did ask her to walk on and do something I have no shadow of a doubt she would..I am because you taught me to be..he opened doors for her whether she wanted them opened or not..and she walked through them..heck yeah she would do..HECK NAW would he ask her to…DOOL was a part of FRIENDS…she did not have to be but in an abstract way…why toss her on there now..who would care after five minutes of a scene?..Fickle… Read more »

I would like to see her appear on the show for a few days—would be a good spin on stunt casting and with all her success in movies, it isn’t likely that this appearance would do anything to her already-mega career.

At long last, I’ve always wanted to know the answer! Now SHE would have been a 50th Anniversary surprise! It’s funny, if John would have been on any other show, most assuredly GH, they would have taken advantage of his Hollywood royalty relations long ago. Valentini is that kind of go-getter. He will scour and scrape. Carlivati would have dropped references in his dialogue over and over again (can’t you just picture him telling Nicole “You’re life’s a joke, you’re broke. Your love life’s DOA”?). But Corday/NBC/Sony seems to always have been, perhaps, respectful of this boundary and never chose… Read more »

I think it would be great see that happening. I am surprised that these two have not worked together on friends and /or Days of our lives. I know Joey played on days of our lives but not John’s daughter. Interesting. I am always a fan of these two. I hope to see Jennifer on days some time.

It is not up to the actors to tell producers who to have on the show. I would prefer he appear in one of her movies than her appearing on Days.

Jen owes that for her Dad.. it would be fun and it would also help her dad at Days and the ratings…. why would she not do it.. I am not too much of a fan of hers.. I think she needs to be a nicer daughter to her Dad.. but of course I know nothing of their relationship .. but just think that a daughter would do something fun for her dad like this… .. Just sayin……..

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Becomes Possessed … Again!

On Tuesday’s episode of Days of our Lives, the devil had his way with his favorite person, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall)! In story, leave it to Marlena to save Doug (Bill Hayes) by giving herself up to Satan!

As Doug revealed himself to be Satan while in a therapy session with Marlena in her office, a shook Marlena tries to comprehend what is happening! When the devil says if Marlena won’t accept him in, she will punish Doug, he does just that.

Poor Doug is left writhing in pain and on the floor, crying out for help! When we come back to the scene Marlena is not exactly right near his body, but sort of overlooking what is happening. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) rushes into Marlena’s office to find Doug as Marlena stares blankly. Eventually, she calls for help.

After Doug is put in a hospital room and is monitored, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) can’t find anything wrong with him. Meanwhile, Julie finds Marlena at the nurses station and asks what happened with Doug during their therapy session.  Marlena flashes back to what led to Doug writing on the floor, and clearly something is way off with Marlena, because she has now become possessed.

Later, Julie sits by Doug’s hospital bed as he opens his eyes, as he tells his beloved wife, “He left me and went in to her.”  A confused Julie is left to ponder what on earth Doug could be talking about.

When Marlena comes home to John (Drake Hogestyn) – who is already concerned with Johnny (Carson Boatman) being set on making a movie of Sami’s life story which includes points on Marlena’s original possession – she tells him Doug collapsed in her office. When the two hug, Marlena slowly opens her eyes  revealing that they are glowing yellow.  Yup! We are off to the races. Marlena is now once again possessed.

So, what did you think about the scenes between Deidre Hall and Bill Hayes? Are you enjoying the revisiting of the infamous ‘possession’ storyline thus far? Comment below.

Days of our Lives Kicks-Off Possession Storyline Revisted with ‘Doug’ Twist Cliffhanger, Followed by Fall Preview

Did the ‘Devil’ make them do it? Doug Williams  (Bill Hayes) is Satan? In what can only be described as major surprise twist on NBC’s Days of our Lives, for weeks, fans have thought they were about to embark on another dementia or Alzheimer’s storyline on the soaps with another beloved character.

However, Days head writer, Ron Carlivati ,and his writing team came up with a way to make it seem like this may be Doug’s fate only to use the long-running character as the impetus to bring the classic possession storyline back on the air some 25 years later.

It all goes down after Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) calls Marlena (Deidre Hall) to ask him to see Doug, after his MRI and other tests proved inconclusive for dementia, etc, to see if Dr. Evans can assess him.  The phone call to Marlena happened after John (Drake Hogestyn) was discussing the past, since Johnny (Carson Boatman) is ramping up to a shoot a movie on Sami’s life, that will include the time that Sami walked in on John and Marlena having sex, which caused Sami to act out for years and years.

However, and this is key, John tells Marlena that moment in time also left her alone and vulnerable to the darkest time in her life – alluding to when she became possessed by the devil – and Marlena was clearly having difficulty admitting that or going down that road of remembrance, when the phone call from Kayla saved her from digging deeper into the past.  Well now, John and Marlena may never have that conversation as she is primed to once again become possessed.

Meanwhile, Johnny is reading Will’s script for the Sami movie, and is shocked to read in it that Marlena was once possessed by the devil, as John takes out a dusty box with his Father John collar, a bible, and a news clipping of Marlena being possessed.  John is feeling that this movie will bring bad things on to all those he loves, especially Doc, and he looks to be right!

Now at her office with Doug, he admits he knows something is wrong.  He acts out and does strange things and does not know why.  Marlena brings up why Doug locked Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) in a freezer by accident. Doug gets adamant saying: “That was no accident. I locked that bitch in there on purpose.”  Marlena is shocked at his word and tone.  Then as Doug laughs, he says, “I’m not Doug.”  Next thing you know, the lowered voice of Satan comes out of Doug’s mouth and he tells Doc, “It’s been over 25 years Marlena. But did you really think I wouldn’t come back for you?” End of episode.  Great cliffhanger!

Now, check out the fall preview released following the airing of Friday’s episode by NBC below, which teases more demonic moments on Days. Then let us know in the comment section, what you thought of the ‘Doug’ twist as the possession storyline begins?

Plus, make sure to cast your vote in ‘Michael’s Poll’ of the week on the revisiting of this classic tale now in 2021 below the preview.
