The writers of Days of our Lives got a lotta nerve submitting themselves.

Nope… wasn’t me! I think my assessment of ReRon’s writing has been on record here since his time at GH.

And while I might be the current star of the show in Salem… it doesn’t mean I’m going to make excuses for the writing.

Like Kate covering up major felonies committed by two of her sons, for example. Roman might have her back for what Phillip did, but I doubt he’s going to feel the same way about Lucas kidnapping his daughter, for Hell’s sake!

Glad for our four legacy soaps but not sure any is telling most compelling stories. Even so, my money is on General Hospital.

Of the two I watch, I’d say GH is a bit better only because Y&R is so repetitive — Billy and/or Victoria maniacally gunning for Adam over and over again. Abby and Devon EVERY DAY. Nothing ever happens.

I’ll be good with #YR or #GH.
#Days DOES NOT DESERVE THE AWARD. They are awful. #RonCarlivati should be fired. Sick of him writing horrible trashy stories and destroying every character possible. I’ve had enough of him.

OMG me too.Every word you say is true. Why has he spoiled every SL by having this devil crap mixed in. Also, I can’t stand the devilboy of being given all the camera time. I don’t feel this young man has enough talent to be given the time and credit for all the scenarios.

Well, it’s not because of the young man. He’s the “vessel”. It’s ME who is getting all the camera time!

Amen to that. They should be ashamed for their writing, not seeking kudos!

I totally agree with you on Ron Cavlivati’ a writing they should change the writer to someone who has better writing skills. DIOL isn’t gonna get the ratings if he keeps writing in bad stuff.

These awards lose credibility when they allow shows with ridiculous camp plots & connect dot dialogue to be submitted & possibly win.

There is no competition when GH is on the list. Great writing by that team.

The CW Cancels ‘Dynasty’; Show Will End With Current Fifth Season

As some had suspected, with ailing ratings and virtually no promotion, the CW’s reboot of Dynasty has been canceled.  The primetime soap will end at the end of its current fifth season, meaning no season six as die-hard fans and the cast and crew had hoped for.

Dynasty has been a soap on steroids, with snappy dialog, over-the-top storylines, and some wonderful performances especially from series lead, Elizabeth Gillies (Fallon).  Elizabeth tweeted upon the news of the cancellation: “SO PROUD OF MY BEAUTIFUL DYNASTY FAMILY!!”

According to Deadline, the show had been kept in production partly because of the revenue it generated with its deal with Netflix.

The cast includes: Daniella Alonso as Cristal Carrington, Elaine Hendrix as Alexis Carrington Colby, Rafael de la Fuente as Sammy Jo Jones, Sam Underwood as Adam Carrington, Michael Michele as Dominique Deveraux, Robert Christopher Riley as Michael Culhane, Sam Adegoke as Jeff Colby, Maddison Brown as Kirby Anders, Adam Huber as Liam Ridley, Eliza Bennett as Amanda Carrington and Grant Show as Blake Carrington.

CW’s Dynasty was the reboot of the classic 80’s ABC primetime version, which aired from 1981-1989, with a modern twist to several of the characters and stories.

So, sad to know there will be no more Dynasty on the CW? Do you think the show could be shopped somewhere else? Comment below.
