This week on Days of our Lives, it will finally be a happy moment after all of the recent sadness, when Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) and Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) tie the knot on the Tuesday, June 24th episode of the Peacock streaming soap opera.

The timing of the nuptials marks two important moments in its time reference: the first, being that Paul will wed the man he loves with the blessing of his late father, John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who just passed away a few weeks ago. John was always supportive of Paul throughout the years they had together as father and son. The wedding also takes place in June during pride month, (even though DAYS taped the episodes well in advance – nine months ago).

In addition, Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy), Andrew’s father will also be in attendance. It was back in 2022, when we first the grown-up Andrew and who first crossed-paths with Paul. The moment occurred on the Peacock limited series, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem. At that time, Andrew was working for the ISA and Paul as a PI and they teamed up to rescue John and Steve (Stephen Nichols). Then, it 2023, Andrew and Paul saw each other again and sparks continued to fly and by the spring of that year, Paul proposed to Andrew. Later in 2024, we learned the two made their home in San Francisco and since that time they have visited Salem several times.

The wedding attendees also include: Paul’s ex, Will Horton (Chandler Massey), Carrie (Christie Clark), Marlena (Deidre Hall), Steve, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Belle (Martha Madison), Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Rachel (Alice Halsey).

In a preview to the nuptials, Colton Little spoke to Soap Hub on the moment that Marlena told Andrew and Paul (when they considered postponing their wedding after John’s death), that John would want them to continue with their plans. In real-life following Drake Hogestyn’s death, Little revealed, “So it felt right, after the conversations we had behind the scenes to continue on with the storyline of John and Andrew getting married.”

In the promo for the action in Salem the week of June 23rd, Eric, who is presiding over the wedding ceremony, asks Andrew and Paul, “Ready to begin your new life?” A voice-over is heard saying, “The rings are on.” As Steve and Kayla smile, Paul says, “For all the days of our lives.” Next, Andrew takes Paul’s face in his hands and is all smiles.

“Pride month” is always observed in the month of June, and is utilized as a time to celebrate and honor the LGBTQ+ community, it’s history, and it’s ongoing fight for equality and inclusion. It commemorates the Stonewall Riots. a pivotal moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement that began in June 1969, when in the early morning hours of June 28, 1969, police raided a popular gay bar in N.Y.C.’s Greenwich Village, the Stonewall Inn. This was commonplace for the time, but on this particular evening, the patrons of the bar fought back, starting the Stonewall Riots, which went on for days.

So, are you looking forward to Andrew and Paul’s wedding and its significance on the heels of the death of Paul’s father, John Black and honoring the late Drake Hogestyn, plus how DAYS placed the nuptials during June’s Pride Month? Let us know via the comment section below, but first, check out the video preview for this week’s episodes of Days of our Lives below.

Yes. Glad, indeed.

The worst thing about this wedding is that of the 13 people pictured in the above photo, half of them will disappear soon after this wedding is over, including the happy couple.

Keep Paul & Andrew around. Lose Fake Phillip and Little Dougie (most pointless character ever).

Seems like a fair trade to me.

I am looking forward to Charles and Colton hopefully having a conversation. It will be so nice to see Shane and Andrew in a scene together and speak to one another. I also hope Days can find a way to keep Paul and Andrew onscreen more regularly. Christopher and Colton are good actors and there should be a place in Salem for them.

Why would Patsy Pease (Kimberly) not be asked back for this event being that she’s Andrew’s mother and a dang fine actress?

I don’t know if this is true or not but there have been rumors alleging that Patsy Pease may not be up to coming back to the show due some things she is dealing with.
