A tipsy Nathan almost tells Melanie he loves her when Stephanie interrupts. Stephanie and Melanie decide to take him back to Maggie’s to sober up. Upon their arrival, Nathan realizes he left his keys at the Brady Pub and Stephanie insists Melanie retrieve them. Melanie runs into Lucas, who tells her Nathan has been preoccupied over a certain woman. Meanwhile, Stephanie convinces Nathan that Melanie is deeply in love with Philip and is hugely excited about their upcoming wedding. When Melanie returns, Nathan abruptly leaves, unable to acknowledge his love for her. Alone with Stephanie, Nathan confides he can’t wait for Melanie’s wedding to be over. Later, Melanie tells Vivian she’s decided she can’t get married. Sami breaks from her passionate kiss with Rafe, unable to admit him back in her life. Rafe won’t take no for an answer and insists they were meant to be together. Meanwhile, Anna convinces EJ that he needs her. EJ can’t wait to disappear with Johnny and Sydney, and is delighted Sami’s break up with Rafe has caused her so much suffering. Vivian warns Victor about Kate. In turn, Victor tells Kate if she doesn’t behave he’ll make sure she’s not allowed at the wedding. Later, Kate tells Carly that she overheard Vivian talking about her and Melanie. Carly goes to Vivian, who reveals enough to convince her that she knows Melanie is her daughter. Carly races to find Melanie and warn her.

After an all night ice storm, Carly goes to the Kiriakis mansion to find Melanie, but slips and hits her head, knocking herself unconscious. At the hospital, Bo arrives and learns Carly has a concussion and slight amnesia – she can’t remember where she’s been. Later, Bo has to go out in the field and Carly slowly begins to remember her conversation with Kate regarding the connection between her, Vivian and Melanie and suddenly realizes why she was at the mansion. It was to protect her daughter from Vivian! Meanwhile, Vivian had Melanie spend the night to try talking some sense into her regarding her marriage to Philip. Clearly wanting to kill her at the wedding, Vivian does her best sell. She asks if there’s another man and Melanie admits there is. Later, Vivian paints a picture of how this guy clearly doesn’t love her and Melanie slowly gives in. Philip overhears Melanie say she wasn’t going to marry him, but she covers. Later, Vivian is about to place the comb in Melanie’s hair when Arianna and Stephanie interrupt them. Arianna slyly makes Vivian leave the room and the girls get Melanie ready for her wedding. Stephanie discovers the comb and nearly poisons herself but Vivian stops her just in time. Vivian learns Carly was at the mansion and gives Gus new instructions. Kate starts in on Philip and he orders his mom to leave him and Vivian alone. Kate refuses, but when Victor overhears her, he threatens her. He will find a way for Philip to cut Kate out of his life. Kate, in turn, goes to Hope, who has just rejoined the force, and talks about her concerns regarding the wedding, the gift, etc. Hope promises to look into it and later, she recalls running into Vivian with the gift and is extremely bothered. Brady calls Daniel on his desire to have kids. Daniel informs Brady it can’t happen. They discuss the option of adopting. Meanwhile, Chloe, loaded down with pregnancy tests, runs into Arianna. Arianna believes this to be a great thing, but Chloe isn’t so sure. Arianna urges her to talk to Daniel. Also, Daniel runs into Lucas and asks him to let Chloe spend some time with Allie. Lucas won’t agree to it and suggests Daniel and Chloe start a family of their own.

Brady and Arianna share a romantic moment and he gives her a bracelet that once belonged to Isabella. Arianna is touched and Brady promises there are no other women for him – just her.Carly frantically tries to call Bo to tell him that she has her memory back and that Vivian knows Melanie is her daughter. Unfortunately, Bo can’t be reached and neither can Melanie. Nathan admonishes Carly not to leave the hospital, but she decides to sneak out. She’s almost home free when Gus intercepts her. He kidnaps her and takes her to a darkened basement. Hope, with an assist from Ciara, finally learns that Melanie is Carly’s daughter. Hope tells Justin she’s afraid that Melanie is in danger. She leaves Bo a message, then crosses with Victor and speaks to him frankly regarding her concerns and his bad mood. He strongly insists that he would never let Vivian commit mayhem against Philip’s bride. Vivian gives Melanie her wedding present. She opens it and is stunned to find a beautiful comb. Meanwhile, Maggie is having a hard time on her anniversary and calls to say she won’t be able to make it to the wedding. Melanie is affected by Maggie’s cancellation and is plagued by thoughts of Nathan. Lucas tells Philip he thinks Melanie might still have feelings for Nathan. Naturally, Philip is upset by this and tells his brother if he wants to help, keep an eye on Kate. Kate, meanwhile, accepts Stefano’s offer to keep Vivian out of the limelight today. Chloe learns that she is pregnant! She tries to tell Daniel, but is unsuccessful. Melanie writes Nathan a letter, desperate to know his true feelings. She asks a reluctant Stephanie to deliver it. At the same time, Nathan goes to see Maggie and lends her the strength she needs to be able to be there for Melanie. At the hospital, Stephanie can’t resist temptation and winds up reading the letter just as Nathan catches her with it. Stephanie keeps Melanie’s letter from Nathan. After Stephanie leaves for the wedding, Daniel advises Nathan to talk to Melanie if he still has feelings for her. Vivian, via TV, reveals to Carly her plan to kill Melanie at the wedding. Vivian places the comb in Melanie’s hair, making sure Carly witnesses the fateful moment. After, Melanie feels strangely woozy, and believes it to be stress. In the basement, Carly is horrified, and with a mother’s superhuman strength, attacks Gus. Back at the wedding, Stephanie returns and tells Melanie that Nathan refused to read the letter. Melanie passes out cold on the floor while everyone waits for her to make her entrance down stairs. Hope notices a receipt Victor dropped that helps her put all the pieces together. She knows what she has to do. Meanwhile, Vivian gets a text from Gus to meet her in a basement. However, the text is from Carly, who has overpowered Gus and is setting Vivian up for a trap. Chloe is finally able to tell Daniel the good news. She’s pregnant! They are both very excited about the baby.

Sami and Rafe fully reconnect and go to the Brady Pub. EJ, after plotting to move to an island with Johnny and Sydney, runs into a happy Sami. He learns of Rafe and Sami’s reunion and his head spins. EJ tries to convince Sami to dump Rafe but she refuses. At the wedding, Chloe tells Arianna that she’s pregnant but asks her to keep it secret for awhile. Chloe runs into Lucas, Kate and Allie, and then receives harsh words from Victor. Philip rescues her and the two share a nice moment wishing each other the best. Just as Philip is about to go up and find Melanie, she shows up on Brady’s arm and the wedding begins. Meanwhile, Nathan takes off to see Melanie. Just as Abe asks if anyone has just cause to stop this wedding, Nathan shows up at the Kiriakis door. Chloe prevents him from interrupting the wedding and telling Melanie he loves her. Melanie puts Nathan behind her and marries Philip. Carly has it out with Vivian over trying to kill Melanie. Vivian confesses all. Melanie is probably dying as they speak. However, after figuring out where they are, Hope bursts in to tell Vivian she’s wrong. Hope reveals Victor figured out Vivian’s plan and switched the poisoned comb with another. Vivian panics. Gus shouts for her make a run for it, and knocks crates over on top of Hope and Carly. With Carly trapped and Hope knocked unconscious by the crates Gus toppled, Vivian heads for the wedding to kill Melanie. Carly frees herself, then takes Hope’s gun and chases after Vivian. Daniel finds Bo at the hospital and tells him Carly is missing. Bo finds a message from Carly on his cell to meet her at the basement.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Alex, Chanel and Allie Have a Three-Way

On Monday’s Days of our Lives, the long-running soap opera included in story, its first ever threesome. DAYS, which has been streaming on Peacock since the middle of September, teased the ménage à trois a bit ago when Rob Scott Wilson’s new character of Alex Kiriakis hit Salem and was a bit of a ‘player’.  At one point during a conversation, Alex hit on Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and put into their minds the notion of having a threesome with him.

Meanwhile, Allie and Chanel have had their own past complicated relationships with men, and now with each other.  Feeling that their relationship has hit a bump in the road, the young women decide a three-way might be just the spark needed to ignite their love and passion for one another.

Eventually, the two invite Alex over for a drink, making small-talk and trying to get to the reason they invited him over in the first place. After fumbling around to get to the true reason, Allie reveals they want to take him up on his offer. Alex is confused, until Chanel uses the word “threesome” to which Alex spits out his drink.

Allie then admits the three-way was her idea, and Chanel agreed to it, as it’s an adventure they could share together. They go on to say they chose Alex because they wanted someone who would have no emotional ties to them afterward.  Alex, also has a bit of truth of his own to share. He says, in reality, he has only experienced a three-way, twice before.

After trying to figure out how to start the sexual encounter, Alex kisses Chanel, then Allie and the three adjourn to the bedroom,  DAYS then delivers a montage of shots representing the sex between the three.

In the end, Alex is winded and dehydrated and goes to get some water, while Chanel and Allie check in with each other and say that the experience was more than alright and recommit to each other.

Fans of the series have been commenting on social media since yesterday. Also, to note, DAYS tapes month ahead, so this story point was already completed before the move to Peacock.  It should also be noted that Rob Scott Wilson also appeared in another soap first, when on Prospect Park’s All My Children, his character of Pete Cortlandt (Wilson) received oral sex from Colby (Brooke Newton).

So, what did you think about how the Salem threesome between Alex, Chanel and Allie was portrayed? Comment below.

DAYS Billy Flynn Delivers The ‘Power Performance of the Week’

Let’s just start this by saying if you missed last Thursday’s episode of Days of our Lives on Peacock, you missed beautifully touching and effective performances by both Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) and Marci Miller (ex-Abigail).

Leading up to it, Chad had a gut-wrenching week.  He figured out that Clyde (James Read) was the culprit that murdered his wife and later confronted him.  That led to key scenes where Chad confronts Clyde at Abigail’s gravesite and wants to hear all the gory details of how Clyde stabbed his wife, and then learned how the criminal covered his tracks, went after Sonny (Zach Tinker) and stabbed him, and framed Leo (Greg Rikaart) for the crimes.

Photo: JPI

Throughout the reveal, Billy Flynn played all of Chad’s pain and horror, while holding a gun at Clyde baiting him on – problem was Clyde is so despicable he had no problem telling Chad the grisly truth.  During a struggle for the gun with Chad, it is EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) who saves the day and shoots Clyde.  The two brothers bond over their shared disdain for Clyde.

Later at the Salem PD, EJ apologizes to Chad for bringing Clyde into their lives and for what happened to Abigail.  Chad takes it in but does not explode, rather appreciates his brother for saving his life.

However, the emotional rollercoaster that Chad went through, and the audience, in the expert hands of Flynn, was nothing compared to the heartbreaking scenes where Abigail visits Chad at her gravesite, now that he solved the murder mystery.

Abigail is proud that Chad found her killer and tells him that she wants him to love again and that it’s OK to move on.  She knows he will always love her, and she will always love him.  Then, when Abigail asks Chad to tell her what traits their children, Thomas and Charlotte, possess that remind him of Abigail, it was very tender and not overplayed.  When it was time for their final goodbyes, both Flynn and Miller reminded us all why #Chabby was one of the best duos in DAYS history.

In the end, it was Billy Flynn who carried the ball all the way to the end zone and scored a touchdown in the conclusion of Chad and Abigail’s love story.  It is always a nice to see when DAYS decides to write for and feature material which plays to Flynn’s strengths, and this did.

So, for all the reasons stated above, Michael Fairman TV names Billy Flynn’s work as the Power Performance of the Week.

What did you think of the Chad and Abigail goodbye scenes at her gravesite? What did you think of Billy’s performance and the reveal that Clyde Weston was Abigail’s murderer? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.  But first, check out our latest conversation with Billy, and his DAYS co-stars Greg Rikaart and Mary Beth Evans now on the Michael Fairman Channel below, where Billy discusses taping the pivotal scenes and more.

‘Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem’s’ Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso Deliver the ‘Power Performance of the Week’

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when beloved and iconic Days of our Lives’ couple, Bo and Hope, reunited in heaven on the Peacock streaming series Beyond Salem Chapter Two. The five-episode limited series brought back Peter Reckell in his role of Bo, Kristian Alfonso as Hope, and even Scott Shilstone as Zack, plus Andrew Masset as Larry Welch!

Decades later, bottom line: Reckell and Alfonso still create on-screen magic as the couple known as ‘Bope’.  In story, when Hope is shot, she lands in heaven where she meets up with the great love of her life, Bo.  While together, they come to realize their reunion is limited as Hope needs to return to the living which makes the whole thing even more hankie-inducing.  Sprinkle in their dance (choreographed by Dancing with the Stars pro, Alan Bersten) to Bo and Hope’s signature song, “Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You”, and longtime fans of the couple are eating it up.

Later, in heartbreaking scenes, Hope is reunited with her grown-up deceased son, Zack.  As with Bo, Hope must leave her son behind again, but Bo and Zack tell Hope they will all be together someday.

Individually, there were also some very strong performances from both Reckell and Alfonso.  Bo struggled to watch on the live feed what was happening to his ‘Fancy Face’ at the hands of Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) back on earth, and his devilish meeting with judge and juror, Larry Welch was a surprise.  Alfonso shared tender and confrontational scenes with her on-screen daughter, Victoria Konefal that were extremely poignant and well-played.

For all of these reasons stated above, Michael Fairman TV names Peter and Kristian’s work, The Power Performance of the Week.

Additionally, major kudos go to the Beyond Salem writing team for hitting the right notes that brought out the best in Peter and Kristian … and how about that ending? Will Bo be completely resurrected from his cryogenic state?  From a tweet from Reckell over the weekend, it looks like there could be more Beyond Salem in his future.

Peter expressed:Thanks 2 everybody who joined us for Beyond Salem 2 ! We had so much fun preparing this for you and we’re happy you were able to come along for the ride! With any luck, this is just the beginning of an amazing adventure. I love reading all the comments, there is so much history.”

So, do you agree with our picks of Peter and Kristian as the ‘Power Performance of the Week’? What did you think of their scenes throughout ‘Beyond Salem”? Comment below.
