Debbi Morgan Addresses All My Children Fans Disappointment Via Twitter!

Daytime Emmy winner Debbi Morgan, who should also be submitted this year for Emmy contention for her performances in the online revival of All My Children for many heartbreaking scenes as Angie Hubbard, took to Twitter earlier this morning to share with fans her sentiments over their reaction to various Internet reports that Prospect Park is putting on hold the second season of AMC! As of now, there has been no official announcement from the production company on the status of the series.
Morgan, who on October 27th tweeted her confidence that the show would be eventually returning, updated her thoughts on the situation when she tweeted, “I guess what really hurts my gut R all the positive proclamations I gave 2 all of U that we’d definitely coming back. Bcuz those were the earnest proclamations we’d been given! I’m so very sorry 2c U disappointed yet again & believe me we feel the same!!! Thanks 4 all the support & luv U gave hoping this would work. We never know what’s in God’s plan. I do know there’s always a bigger picture! Thanks For The Memories…”
So, what do you think about Debbi’s very forthright sentiments to the fans of AMC on the reports that the series is not returning at this point in time? Weigh-in!
Prospect Park are nothing but jerks who keep stringing us along like we are there playtoys. PP needs to either get on the ball & bring us our AMC & OLTL back or just shut up, grow a set of balls & inform us that they are or are not coming back. Simple as that!
PP Sucks!
If Prospect Park is so bad…then why don’t you spend two years trying to revive two cancelled soaps. Why don’t you spend millions to build a production facility. Why don’t you gather sponsors and networks. You do it.
Johnny why don’t you take your own advice? From the very start PP has disappointed people like myself that have 35+ years invested in the two shows!
I think Shari feels like most of us do. Just come out and say we gave it a great effort, but we couldn’t make it work. The fans are disappointed, but my heart goes out to the cast and crew of both shows, who I am sure put a lot of heart and soul into the productions.
Lew you hit it on the head! As much as we are disappointed,100’s of people have lost income AGAIN! These were jobs producing an income and,I’ve met so many of these wonderful Actors! They are people just like you and me with families to support!
PP Is Not to blame here, They tried, Abc trashed the best 2 shows they had in their afternoon lineup and Abc was still, after PP took over, still getting money from the soaps, I hear so many of yous downing PP, they tried they just didn’t realize how much MONEY it takes to put the show on. I am sorry and sad about this, I will miss both One Life To Live and All My Children, I have watched them since the first day they started so having to give them up AGAIN will be hard, But Don’t blame PP they tried their best, It just didn’t work out. THEY AND WE NEED A MIRACLE.
I agree PP bit off more than they could chew and I don’t fault them for that. That being said what I do blame them for is the way the handled the situation. They were never upfront about Wharton was going on they stay quiet and let the fans speculate. When OLTL was ended we all thought bringing them back wasn’t going to happen. So 3 actors went to GH because they needed to work to pay bills. Maybe GH shouldn’t have killed Cole and Hope but they did and it’s done. The last minute when PP was to loose their rights to air the shows they announce they will be back 4 shows a week. 3 days into that they pull it back to. 2 days. Look I have loved both shows since 1970 and after seeing the debacle PP made of these shows it really is no great loss. They were not the shows we loved on abc. PP blames abc and starts litigating with them come on! Who the hell takes on abc/Disney? They can’t produce the shows because it’s all going to legal fees I’m sad they are gone but I will not miss what PP aired
I STILL CANT BLAME PP, THEY HEARD US FANS WHEN NO ONE ELSE DID AND THEY TRIED THEIR BEST, ABC IS TO BLAME, THEY SHOULD HAVE GIVEN BACK THE RIGHTS TO AGNUS NIXON, ABC MADE GOOD MONEY ON OLTL AND AMC FOR DECADES, THEY DIDNT WANT THE SOAPS anymore but didn’t want anyone else to have them either, Its like they hated the soaps and the fans because they didn’t listen to us the ones who everyday turned into their network to watch our soaps, that’s greed. ABC CAN GO TO HELL AND PP THEY TRIED THEIR BEST EVEN THE SOAP STARS ARE SAYING THIS, PP WANTED THESE SOAPS TO WORK AS MUCH AS WE DID, I BELIEVE THAT, I ALSO BELIEVE THEY ARE STILL TRYING AND THEY WILL UNTIL ALL OPTIONS ARE OVER, MAYBE THAT IS WHY YOU HAVEN’T HEARD ANYTHING.
Um, hate to say it, but it’s OVER. She not only apologized but said “goodbye”. How very sad that AMC is not being picked up by a network or OWN. I guess we’d all rather watch “talk show” crap and not enjoy a great soap 🙁
there can only be so many talk shows and right now there are way ,way to many..every body and their brother thinks they need to do a talk show, hope they all flop
It’s to the point where a new soap launching on a TV network would actually be something different and potentially attention-getting.
I mean, what’s the general reaction to the announcement of a new talk show? Zzzzzzzzz.
What would be the general reaction to the announcement of a new soap? Wha–? A new…soap?!
There is no need for her to apologize. She didn’t give a start date, she just stayed they would be coming back soon. She was optimistic, & believed what she was told from PP with no reason to believe otherwise! I don’t expect anything from anyone, but will remain hopeful, as PP invested too much time, energy, & money, to give up now. There must be a light at the end of the tunnel, we just have to get to it.
Said* not stayed.
the only ight that I see would be ,if Prospect Park and ABC/Disney would come to some kind of settlement and if they would ,do it soon b/c it,s obvious that he stars of AMC and OLTL don,t do their craft fr the love of the money, they do itfor us,the fans ,who just like you n I are waiting for an otcometo this dire situation that ABC n Prospect Park have put themselves in,remember, besides thm ,we,re waiting for this woe lawsuit ,bullshit to end,as well and end, ooner than later
I’m sure Debbi will get a announcement from PP like they did the last time when they put them off. She’ll hear on the internet. Never know it may be a blessing if its over with PP. You never know Frank and Ron may do something with them. Was rumor before they would love to have them. Hope that rumor was true…
She’s a class act. Jeff K and Prospect Park are a fly by night outfit. Everything he’s had his hands in is just not hoyle. Damn him anyway.
What is hoyle?
I was going to use those exact words about Debbi. Its not looking good though why don’t they allow us closure. Idiots.
Until PP makes an announcement, anything is possible..
I believer PP in ”silent mode” will be trying to bring AMC to a cable network..
PP has worked for years to bring the soaps back, and I doubt it is over..
AMC, someday, will be seen on cable 🙂
PP does not share their business, so……..
Perhaps there will be a SURPRISE in the future..
(yah never know..
And to the ungrateful bellyaches who believe PP owes them something, they are bitter whiners..
PP owes us nothing, nothing at all ..
They did bring our soaps back FREE and all we had to do was watch or not watch.
So, keep the whining and complaining down to a whimper without blame, the soaps are not and were not ours, they were given to us FREE..
PP did everything possible to do to bring the soaps back, they busted their ass, bank, and backs…
I feel sad for PP and all involved, very sad for them all; a dream fell ..
Don’t feel sorry for yourselves rather bow for PP ..
Thank you Su! In your very bizarre broken English kind of way…you made very valid points. People are talking like Prospect invested years and millions into this because they wanted it to gail. These people busted their asses to deliver these shows. Maybe if some of the actors would work for a salary commensurate with a normal person…these shows would be more feasible.
lol
hi Johnny.. app namaskar, aap kaise hain?
English is my second langue, speaking, reading and writing, is coming along..
Bare with me lol 🙂
Agree– no one goes into a venture hoping to fail. If PP did anything wrong, it was biting off more than could chew by trying to relaunch both series at the same time. I don’t think they had any idea how challenging producing a true soap — one that is on every weekday for almost the whole year really was.
And as I said in another post on this topic they should have concentrate their efforts on doing a true remake of one, instead of trying to capitalized on a the television fan base by saying they were bringing back their beloved soap, because they neither had the funds or know how to produce a soap for the web that was the same quality as it was on television. I think many fans were mislead into believing it would be exactly the way it was on ABC.
But hopefully this attempt to bring the soap genre to the web will pave the way for others, learning from the mistakes PP did and finding a formula that works for the web instead of trying to copy what worked for television.
Knew from the beginning it was too good to be true, but once I started to see the actors all moving to different shows, I didn’t need an announcement. Very disappointed. Should have just left it alone rather then get everyone all excited and into the story lines of both shows again only to let it end…
Well, maybe if it does come back, they will go forward in time another 5 years, maybe with some other cast changes, etc. PP seems like it very much prefers to keep all its cards very close to its chest and then maybe surprise us all – that certainly happened with the first AMC revival. Of course, if it ever does come back, the cast may look very different because I know the great actors on the show need to eat and need to get other jobs (i.e. Thorsten Kaye going over to B&B). Yes, Debbie certainly is a class act and will always remain so, in my book!
ABC and PP have done nothing but jerk around soap fans for the past 2 years, so this doesn’t shock me one bit. I’m so over it, and I’m tired of getting my hopes up. I was just starting to really enjoy both shows and here they go and cancel it AGAIN!
Prospect Park should stop stringing everyone along, and give the rights to the All My Children and One Life to Live characters back to ABC, so that the AMC and OLTL characters can appear on General Hospital.
agreed!!!!
I certainly hope not. The alphabet network and its narrow minded, short sighted executives (not just BF) started this entire mess. They don’t want AMC and OLTL but are too selfish to sell them to anyone who does. They would rather force more boring, meaningless talking heads on an audience that clearly wants to be entertained instead of preached to.
Prospect Park paid millions for those rights. Why would they just give them back??? And ABC clearly has no interest in them….
ABC is stupid.
PP isn’t stringing anyone around, they tried, When Abc Killed the soaps they brought them back no one else did, Put the blame where it should go, ABC for being CHEAP And wanting to save money buy putting DUMB talk shows in place of the Soaps, PP TRIED To bring them back as best as they could just didn’t work out.
I’m certainly as perplexed and bewildered as anyone else, and even though some people say “don’t blame Prospect Park” there is a part of me just can’t help feeling that they need to step up to the Plate and make an Official Statement. I feel bad that they misled a fine actress like Debbi Morgan who was only trying to keep the fans happy with positive tweets ~ I’m sorry but they (PP) haven’t been up front with fans, they haven’t been up front with the actors, and have kept everything so deeply shrouded in mystery no one has a real clue as to what is happening. No one is requesting that intricate financial details be divulged but they ought to issue a true statement and not leave us adrift filtering through “reports” from Tabloid publications and hearsay.
Debbi Morgan has ALWAYS been an A+ CLASS ACT in my book!!!!! Debbi is (among other things) beloved, classy, honest, multi-talented and straight-forward. Those Prospect Park idiots only care about manipulating and yanking around us longtime soap viewers. Prospect Park…NOT COOL AT ALL!!!!! Arrogant asses.
I am REALLY sick of everyone insulting Prospect Park. This is a team who has done everything fathomable to keep two soaps alive. So they didn’t know the cost of two soaps? Who does!! They did everything i n their power…they built a production facility….this was not a fly by night thing. These were people who were committed and passionate about what they were doing. No one else stepped up, o the plate and tried to revive and continue these shows…and prospect Park did. So shut: p with the rude uninformed insults.
AMEN!!! & amen Johnny!! 1005 agree w/ you!
100% not 1005—lol
I believe it is you that is being rude. People have been watching these soaps for years. Who do YOU think you are dissing peoples comments. It’s one thing that tried but it is the way the string the cast and fans along. They could have just came out and said it.
Hey, This is an open forum to say what we feel. Everyone has an opinion.
My open forum response is in regards to Johnny’s comments.
There are ways of saying things in a respectful manner, Johnny. People have a right to voice their opinions. In my OPINION, I feel that Prospect Park should make an Official Statement concerning the status of the show, and not leave fans adrift, wondering what in the world is going on. The actors also don’t seem to know, and most prefer to make “no comment” which is obvious. No one is deliberating the point that indeed, Prospect Park tried to re-launch both ALL MY CHILDREN as well as One Life to Live and that is was probably going to be a precarious endeavor. However, these iconic shows have a huge fan base and I feel that the fans deserve to at least have a general idea of where things stand with the so-called “second season”.
I appreciate PP giving us another season and a chance to see our old faves again. I loved every time Brooke was on the screen. Dimitri was back after how many years? And Tad in the very last scene was a wonderful surprise – wow. I believe they tried hard and thoroughly intended to be back with another season. Please stop the PP bashing. They tried. Period. OK, not period. If it’s not coming back they need to make the announcement. It’s not over (although pretty certain) until we hear for sure from them.
Thank you to Debbi Morgan for being such a classy lady.
It is very sad that Prospect Park was only able to give us a few more episodes, but they did try! At least it isn’t like it was the first time when we went into withdrawals! I think everyone kinda knew this time that there was a possibility that it would not be feasible for PP to continue, a company has to make back their money some way or another! We can’t blame the actors for moving on either, because they have to make a living too! I’m sure they hate to see their characters (that they love) fade away. Am I giving up? No, and I’ll be there to watch if they are able to come back, but I’m not going to sit around and cry about it, life goes on! I watched for 43 years, and enjoyed every minute of it!
They are waiting for Susan Lucci. They realize they need her.
I seriously doubt at this point that Susan Lucci is seriously contemplating returning to All My Children since she is active in other shows. Aside from that, I do not honestly think that PP could match Susan Lucci’s salary request, and I don’t mean that in any detrimental way, but she is a Big draw in the soap world and of course her representatives have a certain asking price.
It is all too late now but I think PP was in trouble when they couldn’t secure Michael E Knight and Susan Lucci from the start of the internet show. I am not so sure money was a big issue with Lucci. But PP was a bit disorganized and Lucci seems to want to make sure she is with a credible company as she was very loyal to ABC and Disney. I think the other actors were a little more under the gun to find work. I am not sure how well Lucci did but she obviously has some money and is working on two prime time shows – shocklingly her Genevieve character on Devious Maids is a huge departure from Erica Kane but she seems to enjoy her new endeavours. I still did not like the way PP treated the actors and the rest ofthe production team.
PP & SOAPNET should merge & stop the reruns of 90210, Varonica Mars, Gilmore Girls, & 1 Tree Hill. SO SO TIRED OF THEM ALL!!!
They need to get off their asses, not the actors, the powers that be.Come to some sort of agreement and let us fans continue to hve our life-long shows back.
The only people to be mad at are ABC/Disney period . They created this mess, PP just tried to bring both programs back.
I so agree, Carol! My feelings are a curse on ABC, and kudos to PP for trying to keep these two shows in production. They have my thanks for the time and money they invested in this project.
There are more people in the world to entertain than those 18 and under, and those who want to watch mindless reality/talk/cooking shows.
I think Debbie Morgan is one of the most gracious ladies ever. Always concerned about the fans. This has been goin on since the original cancellation. On again, off again. Same pattern each time. PP is a new company isn’t it? They won’t be around long bcuz they can’t even get their own act together! Here’s to years and years of wonderful soaps.!
Another sad day for ALL MY CHILDREN – but nothing is definite, we all have to wait and see – Now we can’t blame Susan Lucci for not coming back, she didn’t want to have her heart broken twice 🙁
and Thank you Debbie Morgan for everything – What a wonderful lady you are and brilliant actress 🙂
Yes i am glad to hear that they are planning on returning. Ive got hulu just so i can watch amc. I had confidence that it would come back I’m still paying for hulu just so i will have it when it does. I can’t wait.
Imagine the publicity and ratings bonanza that ABC could stir up by revising AMC and One Lifecas 30 minute soaps. They could save money by airing weekend repeats. They could hire Ron and Frank to sppervise the transition. Imagine the drama- imagine the headlines- Soaps Come back after dead- a second time! Imagine
I have probably missed some information about the status of both AMC and OLTL somewhere in the last few months, but obviously the summer hiatus should be over and production underway, at least for AMC since OLTL is supposedly tied up in legal issues still. So here’s the thing – perhaps the legal issues are insurmountable and PP needs to drop the actual OLTL and AMC format… so here’s my creative plan: new show altogether, opening scene shows our favorite actors, perhaps with new names if necessary (but creatively close to the names we know them by) – as they are gazing upon the utter destruction of their homes , in fact the entire town, by some sort of disaster. (hey it’s soap land, make it a meteor, we can believe anything) Scenes go back and forth between what we knew of Pine Valley and Llanview (as an added punch we could see some mailboxes laying in the debris with names of some individuals from ABC that fans wouldn’t be so sorry to see gone….) so we start with saying goodbye to what we knew… and then springs forth a new city that just happens to be a compilation of those we knew and loved: Pineview? and the stories go on…… writers could have lots of fun with this.
LoL – very creative and inventive Diane ~ I was thinking the same thing, they should really combine both shows and just call it Pine Valley or Landview or as you suggested, “Pineview”. I don’t think it’s as far fetched as it sounds, it would give adequate gratification to fans of both shows, while hopefully retaining the talents of the most gifted actors from each show. The characters have on occasion “crossed over” anyway, as the two Soap invented towns in Pennsylvania are within driving distance of each other anyway.
I am often told I should be a soap writer with the crazy plots I come up with, THEN they actually happen! LOL
Was so looking forward not that oprah’s channel is on board to show AMC o the television (where it belongs)…so saddened/mad that a MUCH beloved show has taken off the air then long time to come via computers only for it to be stalled again…The actors have dispersed and it will be hard to get them back “when/if” there is a part two …I think they should get their rightful place back on network tv…we have enough shows telling us how to eat right and what to wear…people need an escape…to a home/warm fuzzy place to escape to…that is AMC was for me and many other viewers!
Days should hire the talented Debbie Morgan…she could play the role of Valerie Grant and be Abe’s new love interest!!!
Fans spent a year trying to figure out a way to view AMC & OLTL. even at an extra expense to view on channels they didn’t already subscribe to. As a Canadian I had to pay for an extra channel to view on FXCanada and then they were cancelled . Next the only way for me to view was ITunes at quite an extra cost. Then I had to pay for internet extra usage every month. PP showed no respect for a diehard fan of AMC that I am. I have no respect for PP. They held our soaps for ransom too long.
I wish all the actors of these soaps much success. R.I.P AMC….I will always miss you but no one can take away the memories
The longer it takes, the longer they say nothing “official” (not even sure I’d believe them at this point), the less interested I become in the shows coming back. I have a life outside soap watching. The people involved in this experiment, while I give them props for the herculean efforts it took to pull off even one season of shows, just don’t know how to communicate with the public. Look at what happened after the OJ Simpson trial ended. They kept our soaps off the air for so long, many viewers found other things to do with their soap hour(s) and never returned. The same is happening here.
I can forgive all the production and storyline mistakes as the good ol’ college try, but I am finding other things to do, thinking of AMC and OLTL as shows that had closure for me when they were killed off ABC. The PP shows will seem like little more than messy fan fic that made it on the airwavs unless they come back and improve. I believe they can. It made be over simplifying it, but I wish they’d drop the stupid suit over “damage”, which is BS in my opinion, and get these shows up and running. Hey, we put up with new actors cutting their teeth on soaps for years, what’s a little grace for that and production/storyline cutting of teeth if it means we have our shows back? Live, learn, grow.
IA with so many posts here, but your comment about how the PP shows will seem like little more than fan fic if it never comes back is as close as anyone’s come to summarizing how I feel about it all. I want AMC and OLTL to come back, though I’m a bigger AMC fan than a OLTL fan. I still have hope that somehow, PP will get back into producing new episodes of AMC if they can find the money to do so. But I won’t have a problem thinking of PP’s AMC as someone’s wacky dream of Pine Valley if I have to. ABC gave me some happy, neat and clean endings to most stories back when they cancelled AMC. PP unraveled alot of that, having couples be engaged for 5 years for no good reason, like Brooke and Adam and Tad and Dixie. Zach and Kendall apparently got divorced, Marissa died, and David spent years in prison, not knowing he was a dad. As a result, if in my heart and mind, I can go back to the happily ever after ABC gave my favorites, rather than the open-ended mishmosh which PP left us with, I’ll be fine. I had learned to live without AMC after 2011 when it was cancelled and I’ll have no problem living without it again. But I do think that PP has not handled its audience or their expectations well, and they deserve every criticism they get.
Folks its like this, no official announcement has been made one way or another concerning AMC and OLTL returning or closing its doors. We have been allowed to sit and wonder is it or isn’t it and let our minds and verbal accusations towards PP run rampant.I believe they should of 100% been letting us know how things are going the good as well as the bad; but unfortunately we have been left to our own thoughts and we feel we have been left with a very short stick.
For all we will ever know, PP may be trying to get AMC on cable..
PP has always been very silent about what they are doing/plans..
The only fact is; we have not a clue as to PP has planed for the future.
Well, I’m all for being eternally optimistic, but as it stands now, no crew has been assigned, no actors have been given scripts, there hasn’t been any word on a Production date, actors are actively seeking work elsewhere, there haven’t been any casting calls, no re-casts have been made, and there hasn’t been any Official word released. Yes, I agree, we just don’t know what could be in the works down the road, or what actors would be available at that point or for that matter, how many fans would really board this emotional Roller coaster again. I know that I would always be curious as to what the good people of Pine Valley are up to, but I can’t speak for all the fans.
I fully believed that the news would be good, even if we had to wait until next spring. That was until Debbi made her announcement on twitter. I have to believe that she knows something more than just rumors to have gone so far with her comments. I’ve been watching for almost 40 years and will once again miss my AMC fix (I don’t watch any other daytime soaps).
It is so disappointing losing our beloved AMC and OLTL again. The actors/actresses feel like long distance family to me. I hope and pray that somehow they will be back, but if not I wish the best for those who made two of the very best daytime shows ever. You are all sorely missed.
this really stinks. Been watching AMC for a lot of years since I was 13 and I am 53 years old. Will miss all of them. Like my extended family!

‘All My Children’ Episodes to Stream on Pluto TV Canada
Starting on May 1, All My Children fans in Canada will be able to see classic episodes of the beloved former ABC soap opera when they stream on Pluto TV Canada.
Pluto TV picked-up the All My Children Channel that the Nixon family has created in partnership with BEONDTV +. The show which aired for 41 years on ABC and ended on the network in 2011, had so many memorable storylines and characters; the least of which is the enduring run of Erica Kane played by soap icon, Susan Lucci.
As previously reported, starting with episodes from the year 1995, which was the 25th anniversary of the soap. Pluto TV Canada viewers will be able to catch 8 episodes on repeat per day. With the success of the venture, the Nixons are hopeful that they will bring viewers many more years of the show to come.

Sarah Nixon, producer, shared with Michael Fairman TV exclusively, “We are thrilled that Pluto TV has launched All My Children in Canada! Let’s hope the engagement from our incredibly loyal fans across the border will encourage ABC to bring it to the U.S.! We share what Aggie (Agnes Nixon) always felt, that it is the enthusiasm and love from the fans that has kept this legacy beloved and relevant – to this day!”
In addition, 0ne week ago, during Susan Lucci’s visit to Los Angeles promoting her book La Lucci, she was joined by her former Pine Valley castmates, Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, AMC, now Taylor, B&B) and Eva LaRue (ex-Maria, AMC) and the trio posed for a pic. At that time, LaRue shared via Instagram, “NEW All My Children channel streaming classic episodes 24/7 now on Pluto TV Canada! Fingers crossed to watch soon on Pluto US.”
That was also confirmed this week by TV Watercooler’s Jeevan Brar who took to X and expressed, “The All My Children channel begins streaming this Friday, May 1 on Pluto TV Canada.

Mark Consuelos Mourns the Loss of His Father
Saul Consuelos, the father of All My Children alum and Live with Kelly and Mark co-host, Mark Consuelos (ex0-Mateo, AMC), has died. During an emotional moment on this mornings, April 6 edition of the syndicated talk show, Mark shared, that his dad, “passed away peacefully” back on March 23 following a long illness.
His wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa (ex-Hayley, AMC) paid tribute to her her father-in-law expressing, he was, “the greatest person I’ve ever known. I can honestly say I will miss him every day for the rest of my life, as I know you will, as our children will. He really is so symbolic of everything you are.”
Kelly and Mark’s children, Joaquin, Michael and Lola Consuelos are said to be taking this extremely hard. Ripa added, “This is the first loss they’ve ever experienced in their lives. And I said, ‘By the time I was 8, I had no grandparents. You got to grow up (with grandparents). You got to have deep, meaningful conversations (with them).”

In another moment, Mark reflected on his dad. “It’s funny, I used to make a joke about my dad … if you asked him what time it was, he would tell you how to build a watch. There were a lot of lectures, a lot of lectures and I learned so much. If he was fixing something in the house, he’d make me watch and do it. And I didn’t know at the time why he was doing that. But now at the house, I’m able to do at least half of the stuff that he did. I learned the most by just watching him.”
Mark added that Saul Consuelos came to the U.S. from Mexico in his early teens and served our county for decades, detailing, he “Ended up at Special Operations Command in Tampa. This young kid from Mexico just got his education from the navy. Was always going to school. Was brilliant. Got his Masters while I was a kid. He loved his country so much, If you’re going to put a face to an immigrant, he would be the prime example of what this country promises people.”
In a very heart-tugging moment, Consuelos shared that now its important they be there for his mother, Camilla. “We gotta take care of mom. We’re trying to convince my mom to move to New York. She’s such a character, she’s stubborn. What do you think, a cooking segment here on Fridays with Camilla?”
Now below, watch the very touching and emotional moments as Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa mourn the loss of Saul Consuelos.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Visits ‘The View’ Where Hosts Sidestep Controversial ‘Buffy’ Reboot Axing, But Talk ‘All My Children’
On yesterday’s March 17 episode of The View, All My Children alum, Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall Hart), was the special guest. Since Monday, Gellar has been the subject of a hot-button issue since about the surprising turn of events that the highly-anticipated Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, in which she stars, and which was directed in the pilot by Oscar-winning director, Chloé Zhao, was no longer moving forward.
Gellar‘s appearance on the ABC morning talk show was devoid of any mention of Hulu cancelling its planned Buffy: New Sunnydale, in which Sarah was set to appear along with Ryan Kiera Armstrong. However, Gellar did discuss her new movie Ready or Not 2: Here I Come from Searchlight Pictures.
It should be noted that both Hulu and Searchlight Pictures are owned by The Walt Disney Company, while The View is produced by ABC News, which is also owned by The Walt Disney Company.

During the awkward interview, when it became clear the ‘Buffy’ reboot topic was off the table, The View co-host Sunny Hostin, talked about the “intense fight scenes” that have become a staple of her TV and film career starting with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scream 2, and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The ladies of The View also brought up Sarah’s beginnings on All My Children as Kendall Hart (1993-1995), showing a scene with her and her on-screen mother, the iconic Erica Kane, played by Susan Lucci. The discussion sprung out of another All My Children alum, Michael B. Jordan (ex-Reggie Montgomery) winning the Oscar this past Sunday for Best Actor for his role in Sinners. The View’s Joy Behar was quick to point out with Gellar, the All My Children alums that have gone on to great fame.

Previously on Monday, Gellar opened up to PEOPLE about being blindsided before while at the SXSW Film & TV Festival premiere for Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. “I got the call as we were stepping onto stage for the premiere of their own movie. And it’s also the weekend of Chloé going to the Oscars as a best director nominee for Hamnet. For them to call us on the Friday of what should have been Chloé’s victory lap for an incredible film, and my world premiere of something that I worked very hard for is… that says something.”
She went to say, “We had an executive on our show who was not only not a fan of the original, but was proud to constantly remind us that he had never seen the entirety of the series and how it wasn’t for him.” Deadline reports that “multiple sources” identified the executive as Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich.
“I loved the duality that we had with this new, younger slayer who was where Buffy was when the show started, and then we would pick up with where Buffy was now,” Gellar told People about the setup. However, according also to Deadline “After the pilot was completed and delivered, according to multiple sources, Hulu’s main note was that it played too young, with some indicating that the streamer also felt the show was too “small.”’
In the rewrite, sources also told the outlet that the writers did not take big enough swings, so they set out to do a rewrite it again. The last revision was more adult, featuring a lot more of Gellar’s Buffy, and was described as a more of a streaming show than a network one. When all is said and done there is hope that another Buffy IP will be up and running within the next couple of years.
