Michael I know you love Donna and maybe I should just let this rest but here I go again. Donna’s first major role was as “Rocket” on the “secret Storm”. That episode is on Youtube in bad quality but the role looks to have been a blast. Her character had great bitchy witty dialogue not to mention a great wardrobe. Shades of a young Abby! Of course her most famous daytime role was as “Laura DOnelly Elliot” on “Love is a Many Splendored Thing” which I believe was a favorite of yours MIchael. My problem with Donna is that whenever… Read more »

I’ve been a Donna Mills fan since LIAMST in the 60s, thru her good performances in umpteen TV movies like NIGHT OF TERROR, and her triumphant work as the multi-faceted Abby on KNOTS LANDING. I enjoy watching her in nearly everything. But, while not begrudging any actor a living, I have to wonder how Jesse Metcalfe keeps getting these leading roles. He’s not a good actor and hasn’t progressed much since his himbo days on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. Surely there are better actors who also satisfy the “cute guy” requirement for these shows.

OMG, Soaphound!! This is absolute mental telepathy!! I was going to say the same about Metcalfe, but fought the urge until I read your comment, He is worse than Cameron Mathison. I watched a few episodes of his Martha’s Vineyard shows —-not because of him but because I am a part-time resident of the island. Firstly, there’s nothing endearing about his acting. Secondly, have you noticed how his questions always end in a lilt? Oh, brother! That bothers the “Beelzebub” out of me. He’s awful!! Plus, Martha’s Vineyard looks nothing like that and crime on MV is basically non-existent .… Read more »

GH’s Avery Pohl on Esme’s Return: “She’s Using Her Time Wisely and Waiting For The Right Moment to Strike”

Next week, Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is back lurking around Port Charles.  When viewers last saw Esme, she went over the parapet at Wyndemere during a showdown with Ava (Maura West).

For months, GH fans have been eagerly awaiting to see just how and when Esme would return to get revenge, or find out what she is after.  From the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, it looks like the wait is over.

In dishing with SOD on her on-screen return, Pohl shared that Esme is, “essentially on the run.”  However, she adds, “Esme is aware of the circumstances she’s put herself in.  She is aware that people are going to to be after her.  She’s not dumb.”

Just what’s in store for Nikolas (Marcus Coloma), Ava, Trina (Tabyana Ali), Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) now that Esme is back?

As Esme’s plan begins to reveal itself, Pohl shares: “Before she goes right back into the thick of it, she scopes things out.  She’s using her time wisely and waiting for the right moment to strike.”

So, are you glad that finally Avery Pohl is back on GH as Esme? What do you hope happens next? Who do you think is Esme’s biological mother? Do you want her to get her comeuppance from the Cassadine clan and Trina? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn Shares Excerpt From Her Upcoming Memoir

In celebration of beginning her 27th year as Alexis Davis on General Hospital, two-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Nancy Lee Grahn, decided to mark the occasion by revealing to her longtime fans an excerpt from her upcoming memoir due out in 2023.

Taking to her official Facebook page, Nancy shared the excerpt starting with contained some of the back-history of her soap opera alter-ego : “I play the role of Alexis Davis. I am a public defender, prosecutor, personnel injury, civil, malpractice, tax and family attorney. I am the bastard child of Mikos Cassadine who died after being thrown into his own weather machine which he designed to freeze the world. My mother, Kristen Bergman was a famous opera singer whose throat was slit by my father’s wife, Helena. Unhappy with the turn of events, I hurled my frail 75 year old stepmother off a five hundred foot parapet slamming her onto jagged rock only for her to walk away unscathed. Even more determined, I shoved her off a thousand foot cliff into the frigid subzero ocean. Helena not only survived unscathed, she apparently scaled 1000 feet up the cliff and continued to wreak havoc on Port Charles.”

Nancy closed the excerpt with some special acknowledgements: “Always so grateful to have an ongoing contract, my own parking space and people I’ve never met who come up to me regularly and tell me how much younger I look in person. It’s a gift that I have been able to and still get to do what I love to do for such a gloriously long time. I love my job the most because it is the job that gave me the security I needed to greenlight Kate as a single mother, raise her while being able to give her the things I dreamed of giving her, put her through school all the way through college, and will hopefully allow me to spoil my grandchildren. The enormous love & gratitude I have for ABC and Disney for allowing me the privilege of working for them is immeasurable. But the real truth is without the support from all of you, this day would not be what it is. As always, I see you and thank you.”

Make sure to read the entire excerpt.  Now let us know, are you looking forward to what Nancy will share in her upcoming memoir? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
