What a lovely man!!! I was rooting for Jason first… but I am so happy that Doug won after his body of work and he is so very appreciative and sweet about it!!! Very special… would have enjoyed a tie with Jason too! Doug’s scenes were fabulous and very deserving! That was a very hard pick!!! Thanks Michael… what a sweet and lovely moment!

The win was so deserved. Such a difficult storyline which ended dramatically with the death of Doug Davidson’s character’s son by his own hands. The emotional dialogues before and following this dramatic scene were stunning and acted in such a real way. Kudos to Doug and all the cast involved.

I’m beyond excited and happy that he won, he did a wonderful job when his character had to shoot his own son, he showed such a wide range of emotions and Doug is the sweetest man, I just love him.

i only watch GH and loved jason thompson’s reel this year. however, having watched all the best actor reel’s i had to admit doug davidson’s was the best — and i don’t even know the storyline! plus, he deserved it for a lifetime of work on the #1 rated soap. kudos!

I am so happy he won. Doug truly deserved it. He has done some great work over the past few years. His longevity on the show speaks volume about his acting and his generosity to his fellow actors. And the storyline was fantastic — sad and poignant.

I was rooting for Jason Thompson – but congratulations to Doug. I thought it was nice of him to mention Jason, and that he was sure Jason will be up there one day getting his own Emmy!

A long time coming and a long time of watching you on Y&R. I remember watching you when you were married to Lauren and in your apartment strangely was a bicycle hanging on the wall.
Your such a heartfelt actor and finally you had a good story line with your estranged son and of his murder. May you have continued success.
