DWTS All-Stars: GH's Kelly Monaco & Val Chmerkovskiy Move Up The Leaderboard!

Courtesy/ABC
Is there a more a beautiful couple to watch on this season’s Dancing with the Stars All-Stars, than General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco (Sam) and her dance partner, Val Chmerkovskiy? The sexy duo got kudos from the judges table last night in a difficult night of Fusion dancing in the ballroom television competition!
Kelly and Val had to perform a Cha-Cha/Foxtrot combo and scored a 27 for their efforts. They then added some more points as the runner-up in the evening’s Swing Marathon, leaving them for the week with a point total of 36! That places Kelly and Val in third place on the leaderboard behind frontrunner’s Melissa Rycroft and her partner Tony Dov0loni, and Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough (with an assist from Mark Ballas who subbed for the injured Hough for the night).
So what exactly is going on with Kelly and Val and their off the charts sizzling chemistry? Monaco admitted during the show that their chemistry is unexplainable. “People don’t know what it is,” she says. “We don’t know what it is.” DWTS co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet asked Val and Kelly, “What can we expect in the finale?” Val chimes in deadpan stating, “Children!”
Now after the jump, watch Kelly and Val’s dance routine and segment on last night’s DWTS All-Stars! Let us know what you think of the dance prowess and chemistry between Kelly and Val! Remember, there is a double elimination next week, and no Results Show tonight because of the 2012 Presidential Election. So make your votes count for Kelly and Val, if they are your favorite dancing duo, and get out and vote today and be a part of our democracy!
I voted for them this morning on Facebook!
tey did great could have gotte a 10 or tow and their free style swing ace was etter than Melissa………..
Love Kelly! Was luck enough to meet her
A couple times over the years at events
She is very kind and tells it like it is.
Met a lot of GH actors and her and Laura
Wright are 2 of my all time favs.Go
Kelly and Val!!
they danced a great dance and should have gotten a 10 or two. The swing dance marathon they were better than Melissa and I watched it several times. Kelly had more dancing in the marathon and Melissa was petering out with less dancing to save her breath; all in all Kelly and Val was great:>) previous post sent before I got to finish completely.
look at that picture! doesn’t it look like a cover of a romance novel???? lol
LOVE Kelly and Val!! So much passion in their performances but I think Shawn Johnson might take this.
I think Kelly and Val did super in both the solo dance and the dance off. They are a perfect match for eachother on the dance floor (and off, but that is up to them) !!! Not only are they great dancers, they never complain or speak unkindly of others, and they are always gracious. If Tom B. did not mention Kelly’s broken toe, we would not have known about it, and it was never mentioned again, while others constantly speak of their bumps and bruises. Clearly they have so much chemistry, and they were so honest and open about their feelings for eachother last night. I wish them lots of luck on the dance floor and off. I think they have what it takes to make it to the end!!!! I also enjoy Melissa and Tony, who give it their all as well. Yes, Shawn and Derek are great, but he is (imo) by far the best choreographer, combine that with Shawn’s gymnastic skills, and they almost become out of reach in terms of what they can do in comparison to the others, so that is why I want to see someone who does not have a jumpstart on everyone else, to win. I hope Kelly/Val and Melissa/Tony are the last two couples standing, and third place can be up for grabs. Honestly, they are all fun to watch this year, and most all live up to the “all star” title of the season. Good luck to everyone and go Kelly and Val.
Love Kelly and Val…..but I wonder what Heath Freeman thinks of all this closeness and chemistry. Heath is almost always there supporting Kelly and as far as I know they are still a couple.
Love Kelly and Val! Would love for them to make it to the end. All my votes go to them each week and I think they have been the most consistent each week and work so well off each other. The chemistry between them is undeniable and can’t be faked, no matter what people choose to believe. You either have it or you don’t and they just naturally have it. I think they win the trophy ball for best chemisty in DWTS history! I look forward to watching them each week & will be terribly sad to not have them on-screen anymore once this is all over. I want them to dance together forever(Kelly’s words!)!!!! Team Vally all the way!!

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
