This week, Eileen Davidson reported to Days of our Lives to reprise her role as Kristen DiMera! As previously reported, she will be appearing again on the NBC soap this summer!
However, today via news from Soap Opera Digest, Davidson is taking a Salem time out to head to Genoa City and The Young and the Restless to return in the role of Ashley Abbott and tape scenes on March 20th, for episodes that will air on the CBS soap opera on April 18th, and also April 21st.
When Davidson returns to Y&R she will not be alone! Her on-screen sis, Beth Maitland (Traci) is also coming home for what looks to be an Abbott, “family event”. Maitland will just appear on the April 16th episode of Y&R.
So, glad to know Eileen can reprise her role of Ashley for a minute, while still creating havoc as Kristen on DAYS? What is the “family event” that will bring Ashley and Traci home to GC? Let us know!
Happy she’s doing both, but would rather her focus on Kristen. There is more story there than for Ashley right now!

Not since 1983 when Heather Locklear bounced from “Dynasty” to “T.J. Hooker,” has an actor floated back-and-forth so much.
More power to her. She should be cloned for every soap.

One day– can’t be anything big like a wedding or funeral, those usually play out over a couple of days—- could be that fashion show Jabot is putting on. Lucky for ED Sony owns both shows otherwise I don’t think she could soap hop so frequently, but as a fan of hers and both of her characters I am glad she can play both.

I would laugh hysterically if Beth Maitland ever appeared on Days at the same time as Eileen Davidson.
Days of Our Lives – make it happen. Seriously!

Hallelujah! Awesome news and now David Tom is back it will be great to see both sisters interacting with Tom….I can’t wait…I still think YR has had brain cramp for not putting ED on contract and having Ashley front & center in story. ED could do both soaps, Days on recurring basis, if ED is up to the task. Sony owns both so it could be done unless the obstruction is the networks.

I think that regular viewers of both DAYS and Y&R would overwhelmingly vote to have Eileen on DAYS full time. Kristen is much more exciting than Ashley!!!

Oh yes, we definitely would. I think, it would be amazing if ‘Days’ had Eileen full time and Y&R on a recurring basis.
SOD corrected air dates – it’s April 18th and April 21st – (April 19th is Saturday). Those dates are Good Friday and Easter Monday this year. Maybe, that’s the event?

I love Kristin but I come to love ED as Ashley Abbott and will always want her on contract at YR first & foremost. I love if she could do both. She played Ashley from ’82 to 88, returned in ’99 to 07, crossed over to BB in ’07-08 and returned to YR from ’08-12….she was on DOOL ’93-98 & again ’12-13. Her strength & longevity is with YR. I respectfully disagree.

David Tom is a good actor but can not play Billy like Billy Miller. David was Billy while he was a kid growing up but now he looks like a child compared to Victoria. Im sorry but that story line was ruined when Billy Miller left.

Eileen is amazing! I know she took a break for personal reasons, I think it was her son perhaps, so it’s great to see they are doing well.
I would think she will have a lot to do with the way the writers will handle Sami’s character…. she has said she is leaving at the end of the year….I cannot imagine they could write her off…..
Perhaps they can recast her with Julie Marie Berman ?? I miss her so much! Maybe Kelly Sullivan?

I like Ashley but I would love to see Beth Tracey stay on at Y & R. We need a few more good strong vets and she is such a great actress.
‘The View’s’ Whoopi Goldberg Tells Audience to Stop ‘Booing’ Republican Senator Tim Scott
June 5, 2023
During a bizarre couple of segments of Monday’s episode of The View, Republican presidential candidate, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, was the special guest.
The conversation between the conservative politician and The View co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro took some uncomfortable and tense turns.
At one point, Goldberg posed the question to Scott, as to why the Republican Party was trying to “stop the progression that people are making.” Scott started answering and said that his political party was doing a “fabulous job at making progress” with social issues. Hostin asked him to elaborate on that point. It was then, that the senator turned his back to Goldberg, which promoted Whoopi to interject “That was me talking to you …. shall I come next to her?”
Goldberg then stood next to Hostin as Scott continued to face away from the other co-hosts and address the two. After proving her point, Whoopi went back to her seat a The View table.

Then, production signaled Goldberg to toss to break, but Scott was continue to speak. So instead of interrupting him, someone else from the production staff walked on camera and told Scott they were going to break.
However, when the show returned, and Ana Navarro asked her question, if the senator thought the ‘Republican Party had gone too far’ in introducing legislature against the LGBTQ+ community, including Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill, plus Floria governor and Republican presidential candidate, Ron DeSantis’ feud with Disney, Scott’s response drew ire from some in the live audience with many booing the guest.
Next, Goldberg shut down the ‘boos” scolding the audience with: “Not here. I’m sorry sir. Do not ‘boo’. This is The View. We accept … we don’t have to believe everything people say, but you cannot “boo” people here, please. You cannot do it.”
Watch the ‘daytime drama’ on The View below, and then let us know what you thought of Tim Scott’s appearance on the ABC daytime talk show via the comment section.

Walt Willey Brings All My Children’s Jackson Montgomery to General Hospital
June 5, 2023
Look for another legal eagle character from a former ABC soap opera to pop up on General Hospital!
News today out of Soap Opera Digest has that none other than Walt Willey set to reprise his role as All My Children’s Jackson Montgomery on upcoming episodes of GH in July.
Willey played Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) love interest and the Pine Valley lawyer from 1987 through to till ABC’s cancellation of the series back in 2011. The actor previously crossed-over to another soap opera in 1996, when he played Jack on ABC’s The City.

Taking to his Facebook account, Walt confirmed the news on his appearances on GH: “Hey Folks… Been sitting on this one for a while but now I’ve been given the clearance to announce that “Jackson Montgomery” is visiting Port Charles! I’ll be doing a few episodes of General Hospital, due to air mid July. So excited to reprise my character and see and work with old friends! I’ll keep you posted on any details. “Jackson” in Port Charles…who would have thought it? Let me, and ABC, know what you think about it!”
Could Jack’s sudden arrival in Port Charles have to do with the SEC and the trouble that Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) find themselves in? Will AMC fans get to see Cameron Mathison and Willey share scenes together again? Mathison played Ryan Lavery on the beloved former soap opera … or might Jack go up against Martin Grey in a GH legal battle, so Michael E. Knight and Willey could share scenes together again since their AMC days?
So, excited to see Walt on General Hospital? What do you think brings Jack to Port Charles? Weigh-in below and stay tuned.
Happy she’s doing both, but would rather her focus on Kristen. There is more story there than for Ashley right now!
Could it be Abby & Tyler will be getting married?
