Emily Wilson Makes A Return To General Hospital!

In time for the holidays, looks like Emily Wilson will be reprising her role of GH’s Ellie, which means Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will have some companionship!
General Hospital is on board again this year doing something very special to benefit Toys for Tots. so they will be throwing an on-screen “Nutcracker Gala”!
According to Soap Opera Digest, Ellie’s singing and dancing skills may be needed for this one, with Bradford Anderson, who we all know can also belt out a tune, to appear in this on-screen event.
So, glad to have Ellie back for a visit on GH? What do you think about the upcoming “Nutcracker gala”? Comment below!
If Emily Q hadn’t really died, Emily Wilson, who seems to resemble EQ, could have been a good recast for her if she was found “miraculously” alive…which isn’t a stretch for GH. She could have straightened Nicholas out. Another cautionary tale about not killing off characters in case you need them later.
She wouldve made a perfect recast as Emily!
Good call Rose. I can defintely see her as an Emily recast…although I don’t think Natalie Livingston…lol…was that her name?…quit. So in actuality, she could reprise her own role. Unless she was fired. Which I don’t remember. Lol. Still…good call!
Wow, you are right, Rose. I had not thought of that possibility.
I love Ellie? Why? Because she is a damn smart girl who does not have to pretend to be stupid in order to nab a man. Moreover, she believes sisterhood is powerful and she doesn’t turn catty and take out her claws when there is female competition in her sphere. Moreover, she is quite lovely to look upon.
I don’t know if young girls use soap opera characters as role models anymore but if they still do, Ellie provides a good one.
I like Emily and her character. I think the event will be enjoyable – and it’s for a good cause.
I agree. I like the Ellie Trout. I’d love if both she and Spinelli returned full time.
Me too! Bradford Anderson Can ACT! Like really act!
And I’ve loved Ellie from day one. They would make the young adult cast rich and full of substance
A Nutcracker Gala? Does that mean we get to see Nathan West at his finest, playing a wooden soldier! [Thats for you my Ceecee!] No, thats great, kind of like a second Nurses Ball type event for the Holidays. Great cause, hats off GH!
Lol, my Timmm, my love. As long as Nathan can generate as much money as he generates heat for all us girls, he can prance around in a burlap sac. I give my all to my charities….lots going on right now….later.
Somehow i knew you would mention Nathan…he would be perfect as a wooden soldier-i just hope there are no wooden soldiers who might feel offended…some are so easily offended by others remarks…lol
ABC =’s Disney have them give away a few family Disney holiday cruises,
a hundred Park tickets, plus hundreds of toys brought in by Disney characters.
Leader of the pack should be no other than Dr.O, dressed as the Grinch.
Bah ha ha! Very funny. Timm, you’re a real Nutcracker!
Mmmmm pistachios!
Well, as long as this soiree doesn’t turn into another “Sappypalooza,” then I’m in! And Dr. O. better just steal the show with God only knows what kind of Christmas shenanigans….she is becoming a holiday tradition unto herself!
I vote for Johnny Mathis to sing “Its the most wonderful time of the year!”
The Nutcracker sounds interesting…there are plenty of nuts on GH that need cracking…start with Sonny’s…then i can have a Merry Christmas…lol
Plenty of them writing it also. TIIC are ALL nuts. Makes you wonder how is it every time they get new boses, the show gets even worse.
I think the new wrtiers are doing a wonderful job. You may just be one of those tough NUTS to crack!
I agree, Timmm…the show ‘s been great!
He really could use a nice swift kick in the …….
Sonny that is.
Oh, I think Epiphany is going to take care of that task, Fanny! Drill Sergeant Johnson reporting for duty, (Mr.) Sir! LOL.
love it.
She is a good “other half” for Spinelli. She’ll probably add a little fun to the holidays events and then go off into the background again when it’s over.
Good news,I love Ellie/Emily,and I wonder if this means we’ll be seeing Harper as Georgie again?
Kudos to GH for this worthy cause….doing our best here, as we speak. Also give whatever you can to Children Charities ( pediatrics…your local Children’s Hospital). Every penny counts.
I am looking forward to seeing Emily….especially for this heart-giving and noble undertaking. Thank you.
@CeeCee…your a beautiful person inside and out❗️
Thank you, Fanny, sweet lady. There is a heartfelt fulfillment helping others, for me. Every altruistic gesture is a great personal reward. Fanny, there are children who have never seen the outside…have never had a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner at home, have never seen the inside of a toy store. Some will never see tomorrow. To see their happy faces when receiving such a small gift as a matchbox car or a Barbie is so bittersweet. These beautiful kids enjoy anyone who will entertain them with a song, or a good storyteller, who can bring characters to life. The stars in their eyes and smiles on their faces is rewarding enough for me. So many families cannot afford treatment….. There are so many charities, raising money for state of the art equipment. Hospitals depend on donations; private or otherwise. ( feeding the hungry is another worthy cause).
I am no saint, my dear lady. I am human; therefore, imperfect. However, I graciously thank you and accept your kind words. This is why I am so elated about the Toys for Tots ‘extravaganza’ with Emily at the helm.
On another note, I just finished watching today’s episode. My parents maintain an apartment in the city, so we DVR’d the shows. Anyway, it was such a treat to see Helena today. I found that scene so out-of-this-world hilarious. She was great. Her reference to Sam and Liz…”Tweedlee dee and tweedlee dum(ber)…. How rich!!!! Far out, man! Later.
@CeeCee.. Hope Helena has a little more to impart on the ‘Tweedlee Twins’…
Watching her put on a ‘show’ for her impromptu guests, should be the highlight
of Friday’s show… Helena will say juuuussst enough so as not to implicate Nick..
She has to clue Jason in on Robin somehow.. So Jason can find her. Robin can
then in turn help him fill in the blanks. Oh! What fun!!!
Hey, CeeCeeGirl! Was Helena not just the most elegant woman on her deathbed ever??? Even the oxygen tube didn’t mar her icy beauty—or white hot mojo— and that sassy silk pajamas ensemble?..Fierce and fabulous!!!! I loved her “dumb and dumber ” quip, too! Me thinks this is going to be one wonderful tour de force by Miss Constance Towers! Finally, something intelligent to sink our teeth into….about time!!!!
How a propos was Helena pegging Miss Lizzie ‘insipid’ and Mrs. Morgan ‘guttersnipe’, my ShayGirl?
The fear on Liz’s face was palpable. Is there something more to Liz of which we are not aware? Perhaps she had Jason ingest some drug to impede him from remembering who he was. Could she have been working with Helena all along? Too many furtive looks being thrown between them.
Why does Helena do these things? For sport? Ha!
Absolutely, ShayGirl. Helena can surely make even a cannula look like a priceless gem.
@Fanny.
Hey, Fanny.
The only way Helena will clue in Jason as to Robin’s whereabouts would be how sincere this ‘tell-all’ regurgitation of hers is.
I think you’re on to something,Fanny. Jason truly needs to find Robin. I did not put two and two together until you mentioned her. Makes sense. He will save her and himself. Again, Jason the hero?
Later, my friend.
@CeeCee!!!!….Helena and I do share a great love of that delightfully descriptive word, “guttersnipe!” LOL. (I also quite like “insipid”, as well!) Oh, that woman is simply an inspiration! When she is featured, it feels like GH has regained its identity! Having said that, I doubt the mighty Helena would lower herself to be in cahoots with Little Ol’ Liz….but she is undoubtedly privy to Nik’s alliance with Nurse Webber on all nefarious things Jason, and as such, Liz is terrified of having her duplicity revealed there to one and all. This is finally getting good! As for WHY Helena does what she does? Purely because she can, CeeCeeGirl! (Plus, it gives her undiluted pleasure to boot….) Isn’t that reason enough? Why yes!…..I do believe it is…..
I liked Ellie. will they be changing her name to Corinthous ? seems the whole show is about Sonnys lives , wives and brain dead kids. no thanks I will pass. Evil rules on GH.
hi JANET..
Same as Victor Newman, the /newman family.. (and the Abbotts)
Y&R, near the whole soap revolves around the Newmans & Abbotts, all others are disposable..
The Y&R screen are the Newmans the Abbotts in every scene every single day, every episode, without fail.
(GH has much variety of characters and their stories, too– Anna, Jason, Patrick, Nik & Hayden, Franco & Nina, Liz, Tracy, Ava, Julian, Alexis, and others /variety of stories)
I, as others, luv Sonny and the Corinthos family..
I like Ellie, also.. But still want Maxie and Spin together.
I go wack if GH brought on — Port Chuck —
It would be sooo fine to hear/see the guys together again.
Port Chuck in a GH episode playing for whatever occasion!!
Su000…It can’t happen Steve Burton (real Jason) is part of that group….
hi Fanny.
yes, I know..
But perhaps it could be worked out because he would be in the band not actually in a GH story..The band would be a guest appearance, but doubt it will ever happen..
I do miss Port Chuck 🙁
Maybe “Ronn Moss” could fill in for him since he seems so at home on the Port Charles stage! (I’m sure Spencer could facilitate the details….)
This is GREAT !!! Emily is one of my favorites and I’ve missed her.
I think they should revisit a return with Ellie and Nathan!
??? what is going on or what isn’t… with Maxie and Nathan…
I too hope that her working with Nina… will , “finally” up the ante on the acting firepower… we know Kirsten Storms to be
she’s been doa for so long… that it may not even matter
I love Ellie… her presence is so interesting… I have always wished… I think JimH brought it up first… that she could woulda shoulda been Tracy long lost daughter!
I’d welcome her back full time
she’s always a return treat!
I love Emily and most especially Brad. I wish they would both come back permanently. Have them move home and be part of Port Charles again. Now that Jason is back, they’ll be plenty for Brad to do and Emily can go back to the hospital, which needs some staff and some storyline.
She is fun! Glad she’s back.
So very happy to hear this news. I have always loved Ellie and Spin as a couple and really enjoyed them at last year’s Nurses Ball. Bradford did such a good job in singing “It might be you” and that lead to them getting back together. Ellie also really cracked me up when she was dancing up a storm around Nathan during the Magic Milo performance. I want them both back in PC for good. Ellie can get her job back at the hospital as lab manager and Spin can work his hacking magic for Sonny/Jason and uncover Paul Hornsby as the one targeting the The Corinthos Organization.
Emily and Bradford are always welcome faces on my TV screen. I, too, wish TPTB would bring them back permanently, but the cast already is quite large. And now they’re bringing on yet another new face (character)! What’s wrong with the older faces, on the characters we’ve loved watching for decades?!
Another reason to bring Ellie and Damien back to Port Chuckles is that little Georgie will be able to be with her mom on a regular basis. That’s a win-win situation, if there ever was one.
I think the co-head writers are heading in the right direction. I would want them to know that we long-time fans (since 1983 for me) want to see the core families, i.e. Quartermaines, Scorpios, returned to the forefront on a permanent basis. I want to see Mac and Felicia reunited with Maxie, and Lucy reunited with, well, everyone! Lynn Herring, you are greatly missed.
Definitely looking forward to what the holidays bring to G.H. and whose faces will be seen that we’ve missed so much.
Would also be a great time for a Dr. Noah Drake Christmas visit—his son and granddaughter need him—or at least a Rick Springfield appearance at the gala. Ditto for Jack Wagner’s “Frisco!” After the debacle of his last storyline, it would be a much-appreciated gesture for a do-over on his character’s hasty—and ultimately unsatisfying—exit! Bring him back!
@Shay… I LOVE that❗️❗️❗️
Thanks, Fanny! Seeing those iconic fan favorites would make for a wonderful Christmas gift to loyal GH viewers!
Emily is SUCH a breath of fresh air every time she returns! And I’m absolutely thrilled anytime a Colorado kid does well…
Toys for Tots is a worthy organization that GH is getting behind, but as long as the Nutcracker Ball doesn’t replace The Nurse’s Ball, I’m good…
This might get me watching GH again. I stopped watching GH three months ago out of sheer boredom and disgust of Sonny & Company.
Sounds awesome!! Can’t wait
Always glad to see Ellis and Spinelli Emily and Bradford are delightful actors.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
