Eva LaRue Reveals More On Her New ‘General Hospital’ Character of Natalia Rogers-Ramirez
Coming up on the February 26th episode of General Hospital, look for (as previously announced) daytime favorite, Eva LaRue, to make her debut in her new soap role of Natalia Rogers-Ramirez.
LaRue has quite an impressive list of soap and primetime credits including her most notable role as All My Children’s Maria Santos, plus as The Young and the Restless Celeste Rosales, a role which won her a Daytime Emmy, and CSI: Miami’s Natalia Boa Vista.
While speaking to TV Insider, LaRue shared on coming to GH to play Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) mother, how Natalia is about to be blindsided by her daughter’s sexuality. “Natalia is a very conservative Latina, single mom who raised her daughter to be all of these amazing things, supported her and her talent, and went out of her way to make sure she had all she wanted.”

Eva added,”My first scenes are such chewy material, and I was really grateful for that. Natalia walks in as Blaze is coming out of the shower and Kristina is in her bed, so this feels like a major betrayal to her because Blaze has been keeping this big secret.”
In the story, will Natalia and Blaze find common ground? LaRue weighs-in, “She (Blaze) knew her mom was not going to understand it and she doesn’t. It’s not malicious and it’s not out of hate; it’s just out of a surprise and shock and conservativism that Natalia is having a really hard time being okay with it. I think the storyline is great because it’s so topical. There are so many nuances to having to play it with some heart and depth and understanding.”

As to the LaRue’s status with GH, she reveals she is not quite sure what the future will hold, but that she is currently on recurring status with the ABC daytime drama. “They brought me on for the story, and I don’t know anything other than that,” Eva shared. “I would love to hang out and recur for as long as they need me or want me. It’s such a great place to work.”

I LOVE Eva Larue! Her All My Children Maria Santos was my favorite heronine on that show. Blaze is in for a rude surprise! Nothing hurts more than not being accepted for who you are by your closest family members. I have witness such pain in my own family with my best friend and 1st cousin’s coming out. Him and his mother were not just close but truly best friends. He was raised in the church like me and my Aunt was totally blindsided , how I don’t know, but she was and threw every scripture about the subject on him he cried abd cried for days . It truly broke his heart and mine. Hopefully Blaze’s expierence wont be that bad.GH can tell it woth love. I’LL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYONE IS SO AGAINST Homosexuality. It’s not a choice.. who would choose to be different treated like a leeper?!? There is not some island where gay people are manufactored and shipped here. These are real people who have real families that just want to be happy. I mean i know if the roles were reversed and being straight was not the normal thing i would not care what anyone thought i ‘d do what makes me happy. I had to help my cousin accept that there was nothing wrong with him. That i loved him for who he was and GOD loved him as well.People need to understand that we are all sinners saved by grace. None is perfect but GOD! Being gay is perfectly ok. It’s been around since the begining of time.. so society needs to get with the program. I feel the same way about a woman’s right to choose. It’s not my place to judge anyone. While i could not do the abortion act, I don’t have the right to tell someone else they can’t . It’s not my business.That’s their choice and their right. I look forward to this excoting story line. It’ll be interesting to see La Rue in a villanous role. She was so sweet on GH. Lol Except when crossing Erica Kane! I hope GH wakes up and brings La Lucci and Enchantment on the canvas! Erica could blow Disception and Ms. TRACI Quartermaine up!

I don’t think she’s ready to be Sonny’s little tortilla. She’s too strong with lots of self esteem and will just have to accept her daughter he way she is or lose their relationship .

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
