Even Eva Mendes is getting in on the now ever-growing excitement of her man, Ryan Gosling, visiting the set of Days of our Lives (and hopefully a role/cameo fingers-crossed).

Over the weekend, Mendes also took to her Instagram following the Gosling/Hall exchange of viral videos, which occurred following Ryan’s appearance on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Podcast to promote his hit new movie, Project Hail Mary.

It was there, soap opera fan learned of Gosling’s fondness of DAYS and in particular of the woman he now calls his “OG acting inspiration” Deidre Hall (Marlena), from her work in  Marlena’s 90s possession storyline. Since that time, Deidre Hall has invited Ryan to come to Salem and Days of our Lives, and Gosling was over the moon thrilled to hear from her, and accepted!

Now, Mendes shared on her social media account, a classic moment from when Marlena flips into Satan! With her post expressing, “When my hormones talk to me ♥️. But for real – Deidre Hall this is epic. And you’re so beautiful. Cannot wait for the RG collab I never knew I needed. ♥️”

Eva made her first public appearance with Gosling in years on the March 5 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, when Gosling surprised his lady love and the mother of his two children, Esmeralda and Amada, with a birthday surprise involving the North Bergen High School of New Jersey’s marching band.

The last time Ryan and Eva shared the spotlight together was back in 2013 at the New York City premiere of  The Place Beyond The Pines. The two have been together since 2011. It wasn’t until 2022, that Mendes began publicly referring to Gosling as her husband. It seemed to confirm that the couple had privately tied the knot.

Mendes stepped away from acting in 2014, following her role in the film Lost River to focus on raising her children, writing children’s books, being involved in health and beauty, and other business ventures. Recently, Eva shared she would entertain doing another film.

As for Ryan, he’s on the ready to come to Salem, in his answer to Deidre Hall’s invitation, he said, “Deidre Hall?! Are you kidding me? Yes! This is a very enthusiastic yes to a very cordial invitation to visit you on set. I will be there to thank you in person for being my OG acting inspiration. It wasn’t Marlon Brando in On The Waterfront, it wasn’t De Niro in Taxi Driver, it was you.”

Check out the latest chapter of this viral moment now between Eva, Ryan Gosling and Deidre Hall below.

So, what do you think of how huge the Ryan Gosling/Deidre Hall story has gotten in the public eye? Do you think it will be worked out for Ryan to do something more than just come to the set of DAYS? What did you think of Eva Mendes latest post? Share your thoughts via the comment section.

HEATHER TOM POISED TO BREAK TIE WITH ERIKA SLEZAK FOR WINNINGEST ACTRESS IN SOAPS

Heather Tom spoke with Variety on the potential of breaking the daytime actress tie for most wins with One Life to Live’s veteran Erika Slezak. The B&B actress, writer and director explained she is not in rivalry with Slezak.

“I don’t think I could be in a rivalry with Erika Slezak because she’s just iconic. It kind of floors me to think that I’m kind of in the same conversation as her, because I was such a huge fan. I had the honor working with her and I just loved every single second,” shared Heather. “She always just brought it. There was never a day where she phoned it in. I certainly cannot feel like I’m in the rivalry with her because I would just have to say that she’s already won.”

As previously reported, ahead of the big day, the annual Lead Actress Ladies Luncheon was turned into a dinner and a house party by last year’s Lead Actress winner, Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis, General Hospital).
