More former soap stars are hitting the big screen in Disney’s motion picture musical, Into The Woods, an adaption of the Broadway hit by Stephen Sondheim.

According to Deadline.com,  Mackenzie Mauzy, who fans remembers as Phoebe on The Bold and The Beautiful, which she then followed with Broadway turns in shows A Tale Of Two Cities, Next To Normal, and the 2011 Chicago production of White Noise, has landed the leading role of Rapunzel in the movie musical!

The stunning cast already includes:  Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, and as we previously announced, Billy Magnussen (Ex-Casey, ATWT)!  Into The Woods  is being directed by Rob Marshall and is set to hit theaters Christmas 2014!

mackenzie mauzy’s acting really improved when phoebe was killed off. Nope to anything w/ emily blunt after her new film w/c is called “edge of tomorrow” and is being promoted by her and tom cruise at nerdy convention. They changed title from “all you need is kill” w/c is a storyline abt a japanese soldier. But of course tolerant hollywood casts tom cruise to portray a Japanese soldier. Yet another whitewashing movie from racist hollywood w/c bashes Asian americans. Racist hollywood won’t cast a Japanese american actor who’s unknown for a Japanese char. Yet hollywood casts unknown mackenzie mauzy bec… Read more »

Michael, can we request for people to be susoended from posting please. It’s becoming offensive reading someone group everyone in Hollywood entertainment as racist on every other post dispite the topic being something that has absolutely NOTHING to do with race!
I understand people defending causes they care about…or issues that are important to them, but bc’s post are really starting to cross the line and frankly take away the fun of reading comments for fear being constantly offended!
Can ANYTHING PLEEEEASE be done.

“Starting”? Line has been crossed.

I agree that offensive posts should not be allowed. It does detract from the reading.
