The report also notes that the judge in the case rejected the plea of a police officer who begged the court to put Tyler into an alcoholism treatment program.

As previously reported, Tyler was booked on his birthday and was behind bars for two days until being released.  The incident happened in Indiana, where the actor has been residing with his family.

For the public intoxication incident, Christopher will need to pay a $440 fine.

In addition, police noted that they had received multiple calls about Tyler being intoxicated since September 14.

Some judge that won’t reach out& help Tyler at least the cops tried

So sad. Wish he had reached out to someone–like Genie Francis, who worked with him and is
so generous and empathetic: she could offer moral support–for help. Perhaps he did or he will. I hope he will get the help he needs. I understand he is writing a book; maybe he can help someone else–let them know that it is nothing to be ashamed of–IF one goes and gets treated. He needs to get his life back; his creativity can help him sustain sobriety perhaps.

I have read reports that he allegedly lost the role of Stefan due to showing up on the set intoxicated. I read he and his wife separated earlier this year. Now, Tyler is arrested for public intoxication. I have seen too many people being given too many opportunities to get clean before they decide they have a problem. I hope he knows he might have an issue and needs to address it.

Tyler needs help, he needs to go back to rehab. If he is not serious, things will not end well. I feel bad for him.

Perhaps if Tyler’s Personal life was not made public to be scrutinized and picked at he wouldn’t feel his need to drown it out by drinking.
Nobody, nobody, can stop a person a get them help to stop drinking, that decision is Tylers.
His family can support Tyler but the decision is his.
And (all) the public putting their noses into his business will only worsen his situation.

I didn’t realize he had such a problem. By the first article, I thought he drank too much on his birthday and did something stupid like swim naked in the town’s fountain, but this is obviously not a one time thing for him.

Unfortunately ordering someone into treatment isn’t as effective as him going for it willingly. Like the cop, I think I rather see him in treatment even if it didn’t stick, in hopes maybe something would eventually.

This is a disease, and it is a disease that can be managed, but only if the person is willing to do the work– otherwise the disease wins. I hope this isn’t his fate– so many truly gifted people have traveled this path, but it seems no one ever learns the lesson from others, they have to go down that road themselves.

The judge is a real bozo (that’s the most minor word I can come up with..I have tons of other names I would rather use). At least if Tyler had been court ordered to go into a program, he might have a chance to see what he’s doing to himself. I am in recovery but I went through alot of Hell before I got there. Shame on his Honor!!!

Completely agree with what you’ve said James…
The judge had the law & authority to HELP Tyler see reason, yet chose not to do so…shameful !

James, wise words.Court ordered issued programs are essential! They are not only essential for folks who cannot afford the expensive, out-of-pocket rehab facilities, they are essential because the judge can impose a program which exceeds the thirty day sentence. Listen, thirty days is not enough! I have been through this time and time again with loved ones, and I can tell you that judges who hand down these tough-love sentences are saving lives.

Prayers to Tyler and to his children. Tyler is so talented and is missed on #GH.

First of Tyler has all my best wishes but secondly he needs to get the hell out of Indiana. I lived there a long time ago, and that place would drive anyone to drink! My apologies to any offended Hoosiers.

I really wish Tyler could get his addiction under control and get his life together. Most importantly, for himself & his family. Beyond that though… the new Nik recast really sucks, and I’d really like to see the true “Dark Prince” return one day.

If the reports are true that he has been on a two month bender checked himself out of rehab the man’s next stop is the grave and let’s hope he does not take innocent people with him.

What kind of judge is he that he refuses to help someone who actually needs the help. Tyler is obviously one of those people who needs a professional to help him overcome his addiction and go back to a life with his wife and children. Any judge who denies a person clearly in need of help does not belong sitting on the bench. His job should be help get him on the right path if he can. Tyler is not a criminal, just someone who lost his way. FIND A REAL JUDGE.

First thing is for him to freely admit he has a drinking problem.Otherwise no one will be able to help him.

If this is his first offensive, he want to see, the judge might want to see if he repeats himself, then you a problem. I’ve been arrested for an accident in my car, and I didn’t make the news, I had to deal with a problem and I have for 25 years, not a drop, but I had to be willing to do the challenge to save my life. Let’s hope and pray he has no more troubles.

First he needs to find out if drinking is a problem, if yes then he needs help, if he wants help go to AA, if you want to lay around at and be a slug at the Malibu spa, that’s not going to help. It’s your head you need to know. If I drink, I drink until I pass out. , one time I was outside at a party and I was slurping, talking, with some one and I passed out and hit my head on a rock. For days my head hurt. Things happen if your drinking, he should talk to a very close friend or professional. God Bless You

Still love him as actor on days

I’m sorry to hear bout Tyler Christopher’s problem. Love him as an actor since 1996 his debut on GH. I think publicly humiliating him isn’t necessary. I grew up with an alcoholic dad it’s tough for his children and wife also. Praying for his wife and children it’s hard to have your parent drink uncontrolled. Pray he gets help but he has to want to quit !!

Deserves what he gets – he’s entitled

and you’re ignorant. Educate yourself on the subject of this disease called alcoholism.

I wish Tyler all the best and i really miss him on gh please come back

For someone with a less than fragile, emotional “composition”, alcohol is a silent, comforting companion—-for others, it could be drugs and also food.
It is so easy to fall into the trap, per se—I never resorted to any of the above when I went through my dark days —-I have a strong mind and even stronger family support.
I truly feel sorry for Tyler—Lord only knows what drives him—-none of us is perfect and none of us has the right to judge. I saw enough of life’s sorrows while I was doing charity work—-capitulating into the pitfalls of any addiction is nothing for which anyone wishes upon himself.
I wish him the best, in the hope that he does get help. After all is said and done, it is the kids who suffer the repercussions the most. Bless you, Tyler. Stay focused.

I hope somoene will convince Tyler to get the help he needs.I wish his friends at GH and DOOL would get together and do an intervention for him and convince him to go into treatment. I doubt DOOL or GH will ever rehire him.

Shame on that Judge who could ultimately be responsible by refusing to put the actor (who obviously is in crisis) in treatment. God forbid Tyler loses his life or gets behind the wheel of a car and takes some innocent person’s life. A selfish, bad decision by a Judge in Bucks County PA (Jeffrey Trauger) was directly responsible for the death of a 7 year old girl in 2018. Good riddance to the Judges who play God instead of making decisions that are truly right & just and best for all. God bless the police officer who is truly trying to protect & prevent a future tragedy.

Days of our Lives Star, Greg Vaughan, Gives Health Update and Thanks Everyone for Their Support

Greg Vaughan (Eric, Days of our Lives, ex-Lucky, GH, and ex-Diego, Y&R) provided an update on his health on Sunday, March 17th. Vaughan had previously shared that he had become ill during a trip with his sons to Colorado, and had developed altitude sickness when he was having trouble breathing accompanied by terrible headaches and landed in the urgent care.

Now on St. Patrick’s Day, Greg took to his Instagram and shared how he is feeling now, and to thank everyone for their love and support.  As it turned out, Vaughan was diagnosed with high altitude pulmonary edema, commonly known as HAPE. However, he is on the mend slowly and surely.

In his new video post, the DAYS favorite started by expressing, “I just felt such an appreciation and gratitude for everything. . reaching out. Your prayers have been felt. It’s been a struggle, but I’m over the top. And, taking this moment just to say I didn’t realize the things that I was going through. My (original) post was simply just to educate, put some information out there and some things that I was feeling, just share that information and the struggle that I was going through, which I didn’t quite understand. And it wasn’t because I’m stubborn or just because I’m a father, a man, and didn’t want to go to a doctor. It is just something I thought was so minor that I could overcome it, just by taking care of myself.”

The Daytime Emmy winner then revealed his actual diagnosis, “So, basically my situation was high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE). With some good friends, doctors that had reached out to me, it kind of gave me some understanding on the aftermath, which was very, very beneficial.”

“But I’ve been resting, taking care of myself even though I live in a hamster wheel,” said the dad of three teenaged boys. “I gotta get up and, you know, do my normal domesticated stuff, eventually. I’m tired of laying down in this bed, but, I am feeling much better.”

Talking on his confusion of trying to understand what could have been ailing him, Vaughan expressed, “I couldn’t quite figure it out, even though I was emphasizing and professing to my children going on our spring break getaway about hydration. I professed it. But, even though I was acting on it, it had a greater effect on me, and for which I did not even think, because my head was such in pain, and I was in a very bad state of mind – not being able to be out there with my kids on the mountain, enjoying their time, as well. I thought I was doing the right thing. Unfortunately, my lungs were full of fluids and my head was in severe pain and even migraine pills didn’t even help. So, I just want anybody that goes into the Colorado Mountains to know, it is no joke. It is this very serious thing which I guess is why they call it the Mile High City.”

Greg had a mountain of ‘thank you’s’ to give for the outreach he received from his original post, “For everybody internationally, wherever you are, I love you and I appreciate you and just the time and the thoughts that you’ve shared with me,” said Vaughan. “I didn’t realize that it would make such an impression on so many people around the world. I feel tremendously loved and I can’t say it enough. I’m good. And I appreciate you.”

Photo: GVaughanIG

The actor concluded his video with, “To all the family and friends that have reached out to me, man, it means the world. So take care of yourself, enjoy your spring break with your families. It’s Saint Patty’s Day, obviously. I wish I could be out there.” Vaughan added, “I feel loved and touched and I can’t emphasize that enough. I’ll take better care of myself, promise you will do the same.” Before he signed off, Greg shared, “Just know, that I’m alive and well and breathing, and I’m sore. So, be well, take care. I mean it. Thank you, tremendously.”

Days of our Lives Star Greg Vaughan Shares Sudden Health Scare: “I Truly Feel Like I Work & Live in a Soap Opera!”

What started out as an adventure with his sons, quickly turned into a nightmare for Days of our Lives Daytime Emmy winner, Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady).

In a series of Instagram posts, Vaughan shared the sudden health crisis he found himself in.  The images show Greg with an oxygen tank to help him breathe.

The actor began to fill people, sharing, “I’ve said more than a few times, I truly feel like I work & live in a Soap Opera! 🤪 this trip was nothing short of another great Vaughan adventure!”

He went on to say that on a father and son Colorado spring break trip, he began to feel shortness of breath, feeling tired and with a headache and after two days of hoping he would feel better, Vaughan finally went to an Urgent Care to get checked out.

Photo: GVaughanIG

“I finally surrendered & went to urgent care and to my shock I learned that I was experiencing severe altitude sickness.” Vaughan admitted. “My Blood Oxygen was at 54% & my lungs were full of fluids! Blood oxygen, also known as oxygen saturation, represents the percentage of hemoglobin in your red blood cells that is carrying oxygen. Most people have an oxygen level of 95-100%….”

Providing more detail to his health scare, Greg shared, “Well, 4hrs later, a couple of bags of IV & oxygen tank strapped to my face, I was told that I needed to immediately get off the mountain! However I couldn’t, we still had another day to go & wanting the boys to enjoy their last day on the hill tops! I opted to go home with an oxygen tank, a good laugh for everyone, and I know will follow, but my boys looked after their old man & fortunately they had friends on this trip!”

The experience of altitude sickness in the Colorado Rockies gave Vaughan a bit of a new perspective, “In all seriousness, no matter your age, and all the times I’ve ⛷️ & 🏂 in my lifetime, Colorado Rockies is no joke! As they say, ‘ take a breathe and smell the roses!’ That is truly something we need to remember & appreciate! #recover”

Share your well-wishes to Greg as he continues to be on the mend via the comment section below.
