Photo: IMDB

You loved her as Jana Hawkes on The Young and the Restless, and now daytime soap fans will get to see actress Emily O’Brien again, when she premieres in her new role as Gwen on the NBC daytime drama, Days of our Lives.

According to Soap Opera Digest, O’Brien is set to hit our screens on the upcoming June 5th episode.

As fans of Y&R know, Emily played crazy Jana, who was involved with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) from 2006-2011, and there were many twists and turns in their dark romantic storyline.

In the current issue of SOD on newsstands now, DAYS head writer, Ron Carlivati had previewed that Gwen is introduced as Jake’s (Brandon Barash) ex-girlfriend.

I will just wait and see..right now im tired of repeated stories of amnesia, mind switches, and someone being kidnapped multiple times like John and Marlena and Ciara for example…next we will see Bonnie Lockhart who is really dead but is actually the much alive Adrienne…hopefully Julie wont need another heart story!!!

They never should have let her go on YR. That was a big misstep on their part.

Emily O’Brien was a bright jewel on Y&R! I suspect she’ll be just as endearingly terrific on DOOL!

Yes! I was wondering what happened to her. Glad to have her back on our screens.

Hi Sandi:

I just came across your post. Thanks for your reply! The character has already had a few zig-zags, but I certainly enjoy her work. Cheers!

The Devil is about to make a prediction… about ReRon being ReRon again.

Well, since we already have a character named “Jake” who may or may not really be somebody else who is presumed dead. And here comes his supposed girlfriend from the past.

Anybody else getting “Hayden Barnes” flashbacks yet?? Or maybe it’s just that this actress resembles her somewhat?

You know ReRon can’t help himself from recycling his old scripts. Calling it now…..

I sure hope Claire cleans up her act before she comes back.Iam really not looking forward to another round with her nuttiness and jealousy of Ciara.

The Bold and the Beautiful to Dedicate Episode to Betty White On What Would Have Been Her 100th Birthday

Television legend, Betty White, who passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 99, will have the upcoming Monday, January 17th of The Bold and the Beautiful dedicated to her.

What makes the choosing of this date to honor White s so meaningful is that it would have marked Betty’s 100th birthday.

Within her storied career, Betty played Ann Douglas on The Bold and the Beautiful – the mother to Pam and Stephanie.  She made her final appearances on B&B in 2009 when the show killed-off the character.

White, passed away a few weeks ago on New Year’s Eve, and earlier this week it came to light that she suffered a stroke six days before her death.

Pictured in this post are Alley Mills (Pam_, the late Lee Phillip Bell (Co-creator B&B and Y&R), Betty White and Susan Flannery (Ex-Stephanie).

So, what do you think of B&B honoring Betty on what would have been her 100th birthday by dedicating the episode to her? Comment below.
