Dylan, thank you for saving me from having to write a history lesson for Su000. I don’t understand the disdain for female writers. They are the reason that GH became the cultural institution it did. J&S are trying to restore that tradition and salvage what had become an unwatchable macho mess. It was Gloria Monty who created the template for action/adventure in daytime. A woman did this. The few other women writers brought on action, climactic build up and suspenseful endings, and GH was entertaining..
J&S are far writing anything entertaining. And far from the women writers before them on GH.
I said nothing of other women writers, I am not concerned about them they are not writing, now.

Tony Geary is daytime royalty and he couldnt put Gloria Monty on a high enough shelve in regards to her talent and place in daytime history so that there says enough for me. Its not the gender, its the talent!

Ehhhh…sorry, Monday’s show could have been excellent but missed the mark.
Unlike Su00, I do not blame the writers and have come to the realization that it’s not the current writer’s fault anymore than it was Ron’s fault.
Case in point–the scene with the reuniting Scorpio family “hath all too short a lease.” I felt like something was missing. Sure enough there was a beautifully poignant and sweet scene which transpired between Robert and Anna yet Mr. Varni opted to cut that fan loving scene in order to give that repulsively repugnant Ava and Paul more air time. WHY? I do not know what kind of addled pea brain would make such a decision. No one likes Ava and Paul–NO one. While I think Nina and Franco and Jullian and Alexis are horrid, and totally devoid of any romantic chemistry,I admit there is a SMALL smattering of fans who kind of enjoy them. (I do not understand why but there is no accounting for taste). While no one likes Paul and Ava while everyone adores Anna and Robert so I ask you why Varni would make such an idiotic decision. The scene in question is all over social media if you’d like to look it up and incidentally, it was only 47 seconds long.

Good Heavens! I just came back from a very long sojourn in Italy to find this obscene writing from what sounds like a mature woman? I beg you, where were you bred? That is the nastiest piece of work I have ever read against another poster. Shame on you. As a 68-year old grandmother, I can say that. It seems to me you are the unbalanced one. Well hello Nonna…I thiink I know what youre referring to…and honestly? I could care less. But just as an exercise in futility. Lol…I’ll recap.

Your precious granddaughtet or whatever she is to you..attacked me on this site when I posted, not to her…but my opinion, on fhe kidnapping story on GH. I liked the acting…the intensity. Out of the blue your precious one started accusing me of liking babies being hurt! Sarcasm and accusafions spewed forth…all because I “dared” like a story she didnt. Thus began our mutual hostility.

She continued to make digs at my posts…when I mentioned my admiration for rhe character Alexis…she proceeded to insult rhe actress…and rhe character as old, too old to be sexual, should be home knitting booties, shouldnt show cleavage…again…because theyre “unattractive” and too old to be seen. Other middle aged characters shouldnt be lusting after each other either…nor should people over 50 or 60 still pursue their dreams. She’s been accused of ageism by several posters…yet continues to make the same remarks…stating she’s entitled to her opinion…yet continually berates posters she disagrees with.

Lol, she has told me she and her co workers sit around and laugh at my posts; her sister who doesnt post here made a very specual appearance to tell me off…and now you! I havent directed any posts to her in a long time. I have read them though. I’ve seen where she’s antagonized other posters who have accused her of being ageist and judgmental…so much so that she suspected they were me going by another name!

I couldnt resist my one post where I agreed with what someone else thought about her posts here and the umpressuon she gives to those of us who have been recipients to that side of her personality. Her wrath. Yes, she has another side for the posters she “loves” and who love her. One in particular i have no doubt will welcome you back, ask about your trip…and then lroceed to agree wurh yoy amongst her wink…wink digs. Im familiar with the routine.

This is a soap site. Not many are interested in her vacations, her husband’s job, her looks, (self described beauty), his looks, family outtings…yet we’re subjected to pages and pages of it.

Finally…you wanna talk about maturity? The fact that an almost 30 year old woman complains about anonymous posts to someone who is just a poster on a soap site..and then her sister, her nonna feel the need to defend her is beyond insane, infantile and ludicrous. Frankly, you all need to focus on issues a tad more important. Lol…on all the sites on the worldwide web…Ive never seen family rushing to attack a poster because they didnt like what was said, If every family member got in to defend her “victims” of attack, there’d be no soap time. Welcome back, CeeCeeGirl! Of course, you’ve been missed! (If you’ve any doubt, just check out this thread…..LOL! Seems like “deja vu all over again,” eh? R.I.P. Yogi!) At any rate, Merry Christmas! Yes, it does seem like there has been a lovely turnaround on the notion of Alexis and her boy toy, Julian….at least by some. Maybe it’s the increasingly absurd storyline we’ve been subjected to with Ms. Davis and her ridiculous, overtly sexual antics with her mismatched mate that are finally bringing certain viewers around to our way of thinking….I can only say “welcome to the club!” As for the idea that we are being ageist?…I still have to reply with a heartily resounding NO to that proposition. Know what???? I absolutely adore most of the “mature” actresses on GH…they are a fabulous, eclectic bunch of women….Anna, Laura, Dr. O., Tracy, Diane Miller, Monica! And I would very much welcome a full-on romantic interest for any of them, complete with a healthy dose of physical elements…but I can safely say that none of these lovely ladies would debase themselves in the manner that Alexis has with her tacky, revealing get-ups and raunchy, unabated quest for sexual satisfaction that truly doesn’t even rival that of any of the younger generation of lovers in Port Charles. I mean, WHO else feels the need to constantly roll around on the floor and engage in repeated rounds of heavy breathing activities at the drop of a hat? No one! Even Brazen Hayden hasn’t shamelessly mounted Nic as frequently as Alexis has jumped Julian’s frame. That’s just a fact, and if one cannot admit that it’s seamy, disgusting—not to mention, tedious!— conduct, well, too bad! But enough for that matter tonight….it’s Christmas Eve! (Whatever happened to holiday truces? Great warring nations could capitulate to a “timeout” for this one sacred night, so why not here?) I’m so glad to hear you are gathered with your family for this magical evening….do you do midnight mass? Sadly, this time-honored, cherished tradition is becoming more scarce with each passing year in my area, so it’s no longer on the agenda, but there was something so uniquely beautiful to the pageantry of this custom….I shall always miss it! Having said that, I’m sure your little ones are bursting with excitement over Santa’s imminent arrival….how precious!
