I guess we won’t be seeing her in Port Charles anytime soon

I would say thankfully, but it isn’t necessarily true considering it’s just a guest starring role. That said, I’m not a fan of her Lulu!

Oddly, I don’t miss Berman or Lulu. She and Dante were boredom central, which now applies to Dante and Sam.

I am not a fan of Dante and Sam! If Emme came back as Lulu I would be happy!

The common denominator is Dante.

For you, but I liked Dante and Lulu when Emme Rylan was in the role! I preferred the softness that she brought to the role of Lulu.

Hi Soaphound,
I never cared for Dante and any Lulu. Totally boring and thus no romance there. Iam kind of liking him and Sam now and tryingto get use to the two of them together.

OG Lulu & Dante were a great match. with Lulu 2.0… not so much. But still better with Lulu and that sorry assed one-note “teacher” or whatever he was supposed to be.

When he died in the bombing, I thought it was good news… until Lulu went into a coma 5 minutes later and ruined the moment.

Yeah, I want the original Lulu back. The one who actually looked AND acted like Luke & Laura’s daughter.

Love Julie Berman. Miss her as Lulu on GH. The era when she was Spinelli’s “Blonde One” was the best. Her interactions with Jason when Elizabeth was pregnant with Jake were a little annoying, constantly begging him to let Lucky be Jake’s daddy. But Julie’s Lulu had spunk and grit. She was a Spencer for sure. I also thoroughly enjoyed her romance and marriage to Dante. She and Dom were so cute together and had great humor in their relationship. I don’t have a problem with Dante’s pairing with Sam. Can’t say the same for the lifeless and unnecessary pairing… Read more »

GH EP Frank Valentini On Taping the Sonya Eddy Tribute Episode: “It Was an Extraordinary Script, and It Was a Labor of Love That Day”

This week on General Hospital, the ABC daytime dramas series kicks off its 60th anniversary set of episodes, with what is sure to be the most emotional – the tribute episode for the late Sonya Eddy in honor of her beloved GH character, Epiphany Johnson.

GH’s executive producer spoke with Soap Opera Digest (in their latest issue on newsstands now), about how the show decided to handle the delicate subject of a real-life cast member’s passing and connect it to the story on the canvas of the soap opera.

In conjunction with GH co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor, the trio decided that if they weren’t ever going to be able to see Sonya as Epiphany again, that there was no way they were going to ever recast the role.  Valentini shared: “We decided it was important to honor not only Sonya, but Epiphany and we wanted to dedicate a full entire episode all about that.”

The EP went on to give praise to his writers, and the cast for their performances when taping the episode: “I think everyone was touched by what the writer’s wrote. It was an extraordinary script and it was a labor of love that day in honor of Sonya, who was so incredibly loved by everybody in the cast and  crew.

The way the death of Epiphany is structured on the airshows is key also to the upcoming Nurses’ Ball episodes set to air the following week. Frank expressed: “Epiphany is a very pivotal person in the Nurses’ Ball, so it’s almost like a part two (of her tribute).

The Sonya Eddy tribute episode airs Wednesday March 29th.
