GENERAL HOSPITAL: Andre Admits His Feelings To Anna, Carly Says All Systems Go To Find Josslyn's Kidney Donor, Finn's Syringe!

On Wednesdays’e episode of General Hospital, viewers  finally got the truth out of Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montogmery)!  As it turns out he does indeed have feelings for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), and in fact comes to visit her to let her know exactly that.  Anna has had a disastrous day that left her feeling very lonely.  After all, her friend Jordan (Vinessa Antoine), who she basically gave the police commisionar job to told her she can no longer work on the case to bring down Julian Jerome (William deVry) for the murder of Carlos Rivera, and Andre (who is currently dating Jordan) backed her her up! Anna even ended up having to say farewell to her granddaughter Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer), who was heading back to California to be with Robin and Patrick.  Poor Anna needed a few stiff drinks!

When Andre admits his feelings for Anna, he also tells her they cannot see each other anymore, even as friends.  Anna is a bit perplexed, and says she doesn’t want to lose their  friendship.  Andre tells Anna he knows she is a strong woman who would not just give into her feelings, but if he stayed around her, he would.  When Andre leaves he later tells Jordan he loves her!

Elsewhere, Sonny (Maurice Benard) has intel on a woman who could be a lead in tracking down a possible black market donor ring or something else nefarious, in regards to the true donor of Josslyn’s kidney.  Sonny tells Carly (Laura Wright) it’s up to her if she wants to pursue the lead, because she might not like the information she hears.  After consulting with Josslyn’s father, Jax, via a phone call, and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), because opening up this can of worms might actually shed light on what happened the night of the transplant and what happened to Little Jake (Hudson West) when he was kidnapped, Carly decides to move forward.

And Finn (Michael Easton) may have been caught red-handed, after the hospital staff are called upon to tell what they know about the night the drugs in question went missing, Dr. Finn, and if they can shed any light on why people are dying mysteriously.  Meanwhile, Finn won’t talk.  Later, Liesl (Kathleen Gati) gets into his locker in the men’s locker room at the hospital and comes away with his syringe and a vial and his little “drug’ kit.   Liesl shows it to Monica (Leslie Charleson), who in turn shows it to Finn and demands from an explanation from him immediately.

Will Finn come clean about what he is actually doing?  Do you hope Andre and Anna become a romantic duo?  Will Jordan tell Andre she loves him back, or stop the relationship all together? What do you think is the common link of the story of Josslyn’s kidney that will also bring back Ingo Rademacher back to the canvas this summer?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

GH is so dahmed empty of intruge..
It’s become a Harlequin novel, sapy campy.
Shelly and Jean suck/horribly lackluster and have turned GH into a normal runofthemill pile of junk.

I miss GH, the real GH that put me on the edge, made me laugh, held me in suspense, gave me WOW moments, and made me want to see the next day.
I miss the darker intriguing whodunit stories. I miss everything that was GH ..

For godsake get rid of the Queens of Snoze !!!!

I miss “Cliffhanger Fridays” and super couples.

Lol, SuzieQ. I think you are craving some ‘Sonny action’.
But, yeah….most of these stories are not slapping me in the face.
I do not care about Sam and Jason going on their little discovery escapades. I do not care about Jordan and Andre. To name a couple.
But, Curtis? Yeah…love him. Sooo hot.

hey Ms Celia cc .
GH has been so dry that it had now become a drought ..
I had it right on about the Queens of Snoz,,,,,,,, ZzZzzZZZZZzz
I declare GH a drought area !

I find Jason and Sam extremely boring to watch.

@su…
Lol

Jordan is the worst police commissioner EVER and Curtis is a SNAKE!

su0000, we are agreement once again–re missing the REAL GH.

Not only get rid of the queens of snooze, but lose half the cast too. It is such a big mess! No story development, no depth, very little character development, and yet another out-of-work actor from OLTL or AMC joining every other week. Just a shoddy job in pretty much every respect.

su0000, I asked that you give Jean and Shelly some time, the honeymoon is over, THEY SUCK!

I am not fond of Jordan, either, Timmmy. But, what did I miss? Why is Curtis a snake. Make me see the light, LOL.

That was an episode that was very good from start to finish, which rarely happens. I like the character of Andre and would like to see him with Anna. I’m sure it’s Dr Mayes who is the one killing the patients and not Finn.

I love Andre and Anna as well and they definitely had an attraction from the beginning. His rapport with Anna is so easy, so natural…they just click.
Agree on Dr. Mayes too but they’re lacking there…the whole intent is to cast suspicion on Finn which we know it’s not (unless G-d Forbid Michael’s leaving GH again and they throw a surprise at us that it really IS him! Shudder…I love Easton so hopefully that’s not the case). But they show Mayes so infrequently on staff that he’s a non entity. We dont know him other than he’s just a rude, pompous full-of-himself, arrogant “typical” doctor. If we liked him, knew him, felt something there’d be more of an impact in my opinion. Show the man once in a while, even for a few lines! I think he’s been on three times!

Jordan has felt jealous/uncomfortable towards Anna re: Andre since the beginning…no fault of Anna’s. She should trust her instinct and bow out of a relationship with him. And after what he admitted to Anna, especially as a professional shrink, he should do likewise. As for Anna…this still isn’t the romantic guy.

We know Carly won’t stop until she gets the truth about Josslyn’s transplant. As her mother, she wants to know. And as Carly, she can’t help herself, even if Jax or Elizabeth wouldn’t want to pursue more info…IMO.

As for Finn, as much as I’m interested in his character, he really does set himself up to others wondering about him. He has a right to his privacy but it can be hard to maintain in a close hospital environment, drugs missing, and especially when you have Kiesl on you case. If it’s about finding a cure for himself and, I think his wife’s death, wonder why he wants to be so secret?

I would be more interested if Joss was sick. She is fine, why dig up info that is unnecessary?

I really liked the short scene between carly and Liz. They will never be best friends but the bond as mothers, particularly their shared experience with joss and Jake, is nice to see on screen once in awhile.

If I recall correctly, Franco was involved with Carly at the time of the kidney transplant, so, judging by his demeanor today, I think he was behind it. Also, I’m all for the Anna-Andre-Jordan three-way which will never, ever happen….

I do not think so. I think that happened back in 2011 – when Carly and Jax were still married (but soon divorced thereafter).

Franco is the kidney donor….

HaHa…that is so out-of-reach, Jimmy, that it’s probably true. Franco’s kidney, that is!

Out of context? I still think Nikolas is not Nikolas.

and that will most likely be true about Nik once his temporary replacement takes over…lol

Jean and Shelly’s sacrificing of character development in favor of all things mob-related rendered the scenes between Anna and Andre flat. You can’t pair a character as beloved as Anna with a two dimensional character who’s been on a handful of times since he was introduced and expect them to have any rooting power. It also doesn’t help that the friendship between Anna and Jordan has more chemistry than anything Andre has with either woman.

As I’ve said before, Dr. Mays is clearly the one behind Lucas’ attack (and probably Josslyn’s mystery kidney) so there’s zero suspense in the Finn storyline. This plot might’ve worked if Dr. Mays and Finn had been on the show more than a few months but at this point it’s one new character getting blamed for the actions of another new character.

right

it’s just not in Anna …. dna …. to go after her friends … lover ?

but I totally agree… he’s just not in the same arena … orbit… whatever you call it

there’s nothing really integral about him… he’s not even a developed character

so… ??? he’s in a “fling” with Jordan… I can accept that… Jordan is likeable… and I sure MISS TJ… and Molly. Jordan has to do something

but… it’s certainly not to be antagonistic or backward with her friend Anna ?

I dont’ think so

LOL

Anna will quietly dismiss his overture and “go” on that hiatus…. and/or vacation

Darn…I thought I was the only one who had figured out it was Dr. Mays. The old fart seems to pop up just when they start talking about Finn. Too obvious.

Actually, I believe Jay Trotter figured it out weeks ago, Justin. i’m pretty sure it was he.

I completely agree Alan regarding Mayes’ infrequent appearances on the canvas (replied to a post above with similar thoughts before I got down this far to read your post). I don’t agree about Andre. I find him extremely likeable, intelligent, steady, warm…good-looking…and there’s more to him which they just touched upon when he helped Scorpio out….his circle is wide. I think Anna and Andre are so natural and comfortable together with an easy breezy rapport. I thi(k they’d be great together.

That’s right; it was you, Alan who suspected Mays. I remember agreeing with you.
Putting suspicion on Finn is just drama.
Will Liesl ho so far as to switch the vial or was it Mays; if there has been a switch at all.
Perhaps they are in cahoots.

Today’s show had its moments, although the pacing still seems off. But I want to mention something else that bugs me about GH lately.

I realize soaps aren’t supposed to be uber-realistic, but I think they need to be when possible, so it all doesn’t go too far over-the-top. Some scenes lately are just hard to swallow.

For example, when the PCPD was questioning people at Wyndemere about Nik’s “death,” everyone was in one room so they could all chime in on what other people were saying. C’mon! Everyone knows the first thing you do is separate people to see if their stories match up.

It was the same way when Sam sat in on Jason’s questioning at police HQ. As if!

The latest “say what” scene was the accusations against Finn at the hospital. Monica would pull him into a private office to discuss the syringe, not talk about a delicate HR matter in front of other staff.

It’s crap likes this that makes me think the writers don’t respect the fans. Up your game.

I said the same exact thing when the scenes at Wyndemere aired-why was Jordan questioning everyone at the same time? Made no sense. Just lazy writing and storytelling.

LOL

I hear you

what bugs me… is how neatly bow tied every thing Jason and Sam. once again these nancy drew teeny boppers … playing cutesy cutesy

wallah… in walks Spinelli, as he’s been working on his latest “bluetooth’ or whatever extraction to tap in to Nicholas “erased” hard drive ?… everything comes easy for these super sleuths…

Jason and Sam bug me to no end

Jason and Sam are boring to watch, and I think Jason, not the P.I. actually helped solve the case, hahaha! I mean, how many scenes did we need to see them reviewing their post-it notes?

The only characters/storyline that I am following is the one with Alexis and Julian. Nancy Lee Grahn brings her “A-Game” to each and every scene; and I love William deVry (sp). Jason and Sam are as boring as ever. I’m not too invested in Andre and Jordan. Tired of Sonny and Carly and the rehashed script-Sonny protecting his family, how much they care about and love their children, love each other, blah, blah, blah. I do love when Emma visits, liked seeing Felicia this week, and I love, love, love, all things Quartermaine.

I agree, dmr. Coming from me, this is monumental. I am not an Alexis fan…..But, lately? Super!! Her performance has been the best ….better than anyone else on GH, in my opinion.
I do not see the schoolgirl or her giggly self. Her wardrobe has been apropos and demure….befitting an officer of the court. Her determination and standing up to Julian eye to eye is admirable.
Her arsenal is empty. She is struggling with herself ….what to do with the info she has on Julian?
There is, seemingly, no evidence.
But, I had mentioned to Shay on the ‘Delano’ site, before the dagger was found by police, that it may be her last hope and recourse. I have my doubts about her coming out with it.
Hopefully forensics will find what they need to implicate Julian, ‘saving’ Alexis the trouble.

You came around a bit with Tony Geary so anything is possible!

@Timmm.
Well, Timmmy. I am a woman; and, as such I cannot underestimate the emotional turmoil of love.
I never experienced a broken heart, romantically speaking ( knock on wood), but I do have a heart.
Anthony Geary is an exceptional actor. I did not like Fluke and his depravity.
But, yeah….I am coming around….Alexis needs to prove herself. It’s up to the writers. They are writing her in the right direction. She needs to search the seven seas….lots of fish out there…..not right away, though.
The biggest mistake Alexis can make is to go backwards. I hope the writers give her credibility and the integrity of which she has been robbed.

Andre and Anna??? Really?? Is Anyone feeling a connection here for these two? I am not .. .this storyline is bad writing for me…

Totally agree, Tim. Anna could chew this wimp up and spit him out. I swear this guy is as exciting as watching paint dry.

@Tim S. I am. I love Anna and Andre together. He’s smart, intelligent, a good person and empathetic. They are sooo comfortable together and you can just feel her relax when she’s with him. I’m sure they can spice him up a bit if they develop his character…more humor, banter. Not sure for the long term but with all the heartache she’s been through he’s like a summer breeze…
As for summer, read Finola’s taking some time off…

Finn’s syringe!! Ah!!
Well, I don’t think the syringe will be the problem. The problem will be the contents of the vial, which Dr O switched with the narcotic “Fentanyl”.
Well…..it’s more than possible; it’s probable. I love Liesl and her warped brain, et al; but, can’t put the vile( no pun, lol) deed past her, considering her criminal history.

Try and say Finn’s Syringe 3 times fast, LOL!! (I can’t even get it right once)

Too funny, j9. I love these ‘out of the blue’ comments. Keep ’em coming!!

Oh…sorry…forgot…
I am glad Anna does not return Andre’s romantic feelings. Soooo wrong for her. He is so mechanical….he’s just there!! Too much of a stiff for Anna. She is so vibrant; even when melancholy….she simply exudes that “je ne sais quoi” factor. And, I am certain, this is Finola’s personality, as well.
Nonetheless, Anna loved the rapport she shared with Andre. Too attracted to her, so he just truncates their friendship? Won’t that fact elicit questions from Jordan and/or others? Hmmmmm. Is he being gallant?…..or just inconsiderate and selfish? He thinks too highly of himself; that’s what I think. I do not ever remember Andre smiling. I must keep an eye out…LOL.
Let Jordan have at him. They are a perfect match. Neither steams up the window-pane for me.

that’s the word : Mechanical : Andre
the other word: Vibrant : Anna

just not a mix

I like Jordan when she goes ALL Diana Ross… with her long straight hair… she can be a hottie… that hasn’t happened since Sean… she must miss it… cause she’s been a little too uptight

Anna needs mystery. She loves police work. She loves intelligent people. She wants romance. SHE NEEDS ROBERT!

Very boring scene – Andre is no match for Anna. The writing is really weird these days. I do like the Finn story however.

Thoughts come to me in bits and pieces. So, forgive me for the redundancy….
Now that Anna is ‘researching’ MATCH DATING, to which her precocious granddaughter introduced her, could Huxley or Ray Berlin be a prospective date? Just saying.

IF these writers had ANY sense, for comical purposes and to throw a bone at us SUPER FANS, they should have Faison contact Anna for a date!

Oh, my God. Now, that is the ULTIMATE answer, my Timmmy. Can’t stop laughing. I can just see it unfolding. …..too funny!!

Will be curious how the writers pen a path out of the crazy-a** story twists of recent years. Too much crazy does make it more difficult to invest and to care in my Port Charles family, but I try!

andre is a two timer. both women need to move on.

Lol, he’s not. He never slept with Anna and his feelings crept up on him. He’s being honest, making a choice and trying to do the honorable thing. I love him with Anna. He’s like a warm, cozy blanket, offering friendship, steadiness, intelligence, all wrapping her up in his good-looking embrace…

sigh,,,delete the word “all”

I think both story’s are great. Giving Anna a great story-line is important to long time fans like me. Also, bringing back “evil” Dr. O is great. She’s a marvelous actor. Also, please PTB, keep the Monica involved in hospital matters…the character is part of GH history. Ohhhh…btw, Michael Easton is awesome. He brings A+ work to every scene he’s in!

Andre has more heat with Anna than with Jordan. I wonder of his rejection is going to be the thing that makes Anna leave town? Don’t like the way they’ve turned Jordan into an insecure, jealous woman.

Only reason I am tolerating this stupid Josslyn kidney story is that it will bring Jax back!

Hoping the Finn payoff is worthwhile. I’m guessing he is experimenting on himself in service to curing whatever disease killed his wife. Not sure why he would have to hide that though.

Hey, Melissa.
I must have misunderstood what went down between Anna and Andre. I thought he disclosed that he had feelings for both her and Jordan.
I also think he was under the deluded impression Anna reciprocated his feelings.
However, what I took from the scene is that starting a sexual/romantic relationship with Andre was the last thing on Anna’s mind.
There was no rejection on Andre’s part, as Anna made it clear to the audience, it was his friendship she wanted. In fact, she did not look too hearbroken to me. Did I get it wrong?
Yes. I do believe you are correct. The first thing I said when we were presented with a ‘syringe using/toting Finn; was that he was using himself as a guinea pig, looking for a cure of ‘something’. Enter Roxie. Her venom?
Hayden and Finn? I like it.

HIN?

FAYDEN?

LOVE IT!

@Timmm.
Right?? I think it could happen, yes, Timmmbo? I like FAYDEN!!

i’m not surprise andre has feeling for Anna but i’m not a fan of them together. i find him boring for her, still i like the scene as it played out, i’m not happy about jordan, its clear she’s jealous of Anna, poor Anna needs her real friend, like Felicia, they should start their p.i business together like the old days minus Sam she can “pretend” she solves cases when we all know its spinelli who does all the work. and please lets get julian taken down already, that sleezebag is just a waste of time..

OK.. I can nitpick

love your Sam post

I just sat their …. when Jason and Sam asked the guy for new passports and he “went” in the backroom

LOL… Sam jumps on the computer and Jason is in the files….. that quickly

WHY wouldn’t that “pawn shop” have cameras…security… or more employees”

a little too discreet

just saying… I know serial is limited… but seriously… this is what we get from here on out of Jason and Sam

woah

I am still a HUGE fan of what GH does daily. Their cast is stellar. The pacing is pretty consistent. And the sets and lighting are great. My main beef is that the writing doesn’t have the pop that Ron Carlivati gave it. The humor is missing and intrigue. I loved Ava with Nikolas. That was fun to watch. And the new character was bouncing off the charts with Maura West since they had worked together back on ATWT. I can’t remember the new character’s name but it is fun to watch him. Trent is a great character actor. I hope they find a way to make him stay. Jordan’s story is not catching on because there is no consistency in her feelings. She changes with the weather. Andre is definitely not interesting to watch. He has zero chemistry with Anna. Anna needs to get back into the world and start living again just not with a stick in the mud. I think that the writers Jean and Shelly are great as co-writers just not as head writers. I seriously don’t know why Ron was let go. He brought sparkle, pizazz and humor to each character and really tried to fit EVERYONE into the various stories. I want Jason and Sam to not be on the lam all the time. They need to focus on being a couple again and parents to their kids. Sonny is a mobster. I get it. He will be what he will be. So let him do that and stop complaining that he is what he is. I like his character and I like the consistency of always be true to the character. Carly is always a delight to watch. I love watching Liesl do her wicked thing. She is working the borders of camp and pure evil on a massive scale. I want to see her involved in more of a story than just being a thorn in someone’s side. Dr Finn? He is interesting but I just don’t care for Michael Easton’s acting style. He is one of those male characters who can never change their vocal delivery so their lines always sound labored. I want to know why he is drugging it up of course BUT I just wish there was a better actor playing him. I am still a great supporter of GH. I want to see it shine. I believe it can. It took a while to get rid of JFP from Y&R so maybe we’ll see new writers soon at GH.

I think Michael Easton is perfect. A dash of mystery and a speck of suspense is good writing. ME arouses both impeccably. Amazing how differently one can read an actor’s performance.LOL.
Why is he shooting up? As yourself, I think we are all tired of waiting….I hope the discovery is near, Mateo.
Either he is a test subject himself to find a cure, as I said…..or he is combating a disease ( probably tropical) which he contracted as a medical missionary.

I continue to intensely dislike what Altman and Passanante have done to GH. I find half of the characters on the canvas to be intolerably smug and self-righteous (especially Sam, Jason, Sonny, Carly and Curtis) and the other half just plain dull and stuck in pointlessly destructive stories. I usually watch live, so much of the time I tend to either put in on mute or switch over to Buzzr (new classic game show channel) for reruns of “What’s My Line?” and “I’ve Got a Secret”. It’s much more entertaining.

Altman and Passanante have destroyed the power and soul of GH ..
GH has become predictable stupid and very dry.
GH has been destroyed of it greatness in drama.
Altman and Passanante have turned GH into a pile of stupid crap.

I WANT GH BACK, THE REAL GH .

They did the same at Y&R! I gave them a chance and they failed!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

Published

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.

Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.

As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY

Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.

Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS

Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.

In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”

So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.
