Brandon Barash Granted Restraining Order Against ‘General Hospital’s’ Kirsten Storms
General Hospital favorite Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) has been served a restraining order from her ex-husband and former GH and Days of our Lives actor, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny, ex-Stefan/Jake, respectively).
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Barash is claiming that Storms had been exhibiting concerning behavior and he fears for the well-being of their daughter, Harper. A judge apparently agreed that Storm is suffering a mental health crisis, when Brandon pleaded with the courts for an emergency restraining order. In the court documents, Barash explained that following their divorce, they each moved separately to Tennessee.
Barash also noted Storms alleged, “instability with housing has been a recurring theme.” He also added, that he has “great concern (for her) ability to adequately care for the minor child” and also requested that she undergo a mental health evaluation.

Brandon and Kirsten met on the set of General Hospital and married in 2013. They later welcomed their daughter, Harper in January of 2014 and went their separate ways in 2016. Barash remarried and found love again with his current wife Isabella Devoto in 2022 and the couple are expecting their second child.
Fast-forward to 2025 and Barash and his family moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Last summer, Kirsten revealed she was taking a time off from GH to move across the country and relocate herself and her daughter. In the storyline to accommodate her departure, Maxie lapsed into a coma after applying tainted face cream on her cheeks.
Storms returned to the set of General Hospital this past January and returned on-screen on February 12. The storyline set up the possible reunion of Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie, when she learned her “late” husband (who has now been revealed as his twin, Cassius) was alive and well, but romantically into her bff, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins). However, the character of Maxie has not been seen on-screen since mid-March, and Storms is already back in Tennessee.
Recently on her Instagram, Storms has been updating her followers on how her home computer network and other devices where she was residing have been hacked and how she has been continually alerting the local police and the apartment complex in which she has been staying. This has been of great concern for her.
One of the items in the court documents shared that Barash alleges that from September 2024 until June of 2025, Kirsten never maintained a permanent residence, and either stayed with friends or at hotels … but frequently changed hotels because she was convinced people were “following her and the child to her room.”
According to TMZ, Storms is allowed supervised visitation with her daughter, and the judge in the case will be reviewing the “status of the restraining order” later this week.
Obviously, this is only one side of the story as reported by the outlet, and as fans know, Kirsten also had brain surgery in 2021 to remove a large cyst on the lower part of her brain, and was reportedly scheduled for surgery in 2025 due to a brain aneurysm diagnosis, but eventually decided to hold off of that procedure for now.
First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with Kirsten, and all involved. What are your thoughts on Brandon Barash being granted a restraining order against Kirsten Storms and what is being alleged in the court documents? Do you hope everything works out and Kirsten will return to General Hospital on-screen sometime in the near future? Let us know via the comment section.
NO I DON’T THINK KRISTEN STORMS WILL B COMING BACK, I THINK BARASH IS DOING THE RIGHT THING TO TAKE THEIR DAUGHTER
Really. This is such bullshit and really nobody’s business
Yours either!
There’s two sides to every story and it all started with that brain tumor my prayers are with her
I hate to hear this. I pray for her and I wish them all well. In recent years she’s dealt with so much with the brain surgeries, brain cysts, an aneurysm. I hope they factor all of this in and re-check the medical side of this. I mean, what if this isn’t necessarily mental illness? If brain tumors can alter behavior, couldn’t brain cysts alter behavior too? I don’t know. This makes me sad. I have always liked Kirsten and her adorable portrayal of Maxie.
I agree with you, with the health issues regarding her brain i firmly believe it has something to do with her problems now. She moved to Tennessee so that her daughter could stay close to her father, I believe this proves she does keep her daughter’s well being paramount.
The person who posted in all caps should maybe do a little more homework on Kristen’s medical/personal history BEFORE yelling!!!!
I agree with you
Carrie, what a kind insightful post.
Agree with you. She needs a full neurological evaluation and test by her medical doctors as well.
Makes me quite sad. I have always like both she and Maxie.
The paranoia sounds like more than just bi polar. Perhaps she is looking at psyschphrenia with all that paranoia.
Either way I wish her only the very best and I pray she gets the helps she needs.
Let’s all hope (and pray if so inclined) that Kirsten gets the help she needs. Now’s not the time to speculate on the character’s future.
It’s just a sad situation for all those involved.
We don’t know the full story. We know what was stated in this blurb or article. I would like to NOT see society paint her as a crazy person. If she does 8nfact suffer from some mental health issues, its nothing to poke fun at. Treat her with kindness and respect. Make sure.she infect is fit to be Harper’s mother. Not everything should be in the news or tabloids. Mental illness is already hard enough, but being in the public eye at the very least she deserves some compassion while she navigates what’s going on around her.
This is very sad to hear. I’m not really surprised as I suspected something was going on as she had lost a lot of weight and did not look herself when she came back to the show. I pray that she gets the help that she needs and I know this was difficult for Brandon , but he has to protect their daughter. I hope that the physicians will evaluate to determine if the aneurysm or whatever she has going on with the brain issue may be causing this.
It has sounded like she has a lot of problems. I read a little about the computer hacking. That seemed odd to me. I hope she can get better. She needs to take care of herself. Brandon is dong the right thing by putting his daughter first.
Something is just way off with this and I do believe it’s everything Kirsten had to undergo with her brain. Very sad story.
Agree. Im a RN and it could be a medical condition with her aneurysm depending on where the aneurysm is putting pressure on in her brain. She needs a full medical neurological workup ASAP. I hope someone is reading this who will tell them to do this. You would think that would be the first thing they do , but in this day and time in medicine , not necessarily.
This might be erratic behavior due to a physical nature. I hope they’re able to help her.
Thankful that the young daughter has a strong and concerned father who is doing everything right – to keep her safe.
So soapish! Hope she gets better!
These concerns about her mental health have been talked for years. She needs to get help work her way back to a job outside of the entertainment industry. Brandon made a hard choice but a good one. The daughter’s well being is the priority.
I’ve been wondering why we haven’t seen more of Maxie on GH. Maybe this is why. With all the brain issues she has been going through over the past several years, it wouldn’t be a stretch to be concerned. I hope and pray everything works out well.
I think he is being hard on her due to her medical condition. And the judge kind of jumped the gun.Not fair to Harper either!
He’s not. Being harsh he’s being the responsible parent he’s put. Up with too much for years .he has got harper his wife and two other children. To protect krristen needs to get it together
He’s. Not. Being hard on. Her he’s been dealing with. Her issues for. Years. He had to take action to. Protect harper his wife and two other children..kristenn. Needs to. Get it together
Preposterous period placement!
I really hope Kirsten gets the help that she needs.
I think it was a good decision for her husband to at least take the daughter for now until Kirsten either gets better or whatever happens but as far as her being on the Adderall for a long time, that’s the fucking deal right there the fucking Adderall that shit is nasty fucking shit. Everybody fucking knows it but that aid group yeah they feel like they have to have it or they can’t live, it’s a sick world we live in.
There’s nothing like an expletive filled rant from a frustrated psychiatrist.
He’s. Her ex. Husband
What just happened?
She has been having problems for a long time but she is human just like we all are back off none of us know what’s going on and TMZ is the last source you want to listen to friends and family be there for her I noticed the weight gain then the weight loss etc if Brandon her ex thinks he needs to step in then he is wise . I do not want to read about this young woman in the papers tomorrow in the obits.
This situation is heartbreaking. Pray for all the parties involved in this case. Also let’s hope the Court decides to put this case under seal. These are real hurting individuals and let them heal in peace and in private.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: The WSB Extradites Nina After Drew Frames Her for Jack’s Disappearance

It was not a good day on the Thursday, September 17 episode of General Hospital for Nina Reeves. However, while it was not a good day for Nina, it was a good day for GH fans because of the performance (as per usual) of Daytime Emmy winner, Cynthia Watros who is at the epicenter of this leg of the story.
In story, Nina has been dragged down to the PCPD and Agent Baines (Alimi Ballard) shows Nina, and her now lawyer, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), evidence of Jack (Chris McKenna) Brennan’s wallet found in Nina’s car. Baines says he has enough evidence to extradite Nina immediately.
Nina loses it and fumes and cries. Baines instructs Ric to get his client to cooperate before heading into the squad room to tell Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) that Nina would be transferred to a WSB facility. Now alone with Ric, Nina tells him she is being framed. She did nothing to Jack other than have a public argument with him. Ric asks her if she can think of anyone who would frame her for Jack’s disappearance or possible murder?
After not giving Ric any thoughts as to who could be framing her, Baines returned and informs Nina she is being extradited and taken into WSB custody immediately. Just as a frantic Nina is being carted away, Ava (Maura West) has shown up at the police station and witnessed the whole thing.

AVA LEARNS EXACTLY WHAT NINA AND WILLOW DID TO DREW
Earlier in the episode, Ava got a mouthful from Drew (Cameron Mathison). He informed her that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina drugged him for months with a paralytic drug and he never had a stroke. He also informed her Willow shot him.
Ava was not surprised about Willow shooting him in the back. However, Drew told Ava that Nina tried to kill him when she pushed him into the water at the Quartermaine boathouse while he was locked in his wheelchair.
Drew admits to framing Nina with Brennan’s wallet, although Ava is upset because Nina is her friend. He then reminds Ava that Nina also gave her drugs, induced labor and stole her baby. Ava says Nina is a very different person now than she was then. A vengeful Drew wants Nina to suffer after all she did to him, plus he has a plan for taking down Willow next.
So, what do you think of Nina being taken into custody by the WSB? How will she get out of the new hell she is in? Do you think Ava will help her friend, or continue to help Drew because of their alliance to take down Sonny? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

Kelly Monaco (ex-Sam McCall, General Hospital) has taken to her Instagram for the second time this week and now honors her late dear friend and General Hospital co-star, Billy Miller (ex-Drew Cain) on what would have been his 47th birthday on September 17.
In her post, Monaco wished Billy “a heavenly birthday” and shared a typewritten note from her beloved co-star after he exited General Hospital in the role of Drew Cain. The three-time Daytime Emmy-winning actor played the part from 2014-2019.
Monaco wrote accompanying the photo of Billy’s letter: “He (Billy) sent me this a few years ago, after he left (the show) wanting me to post it… I didn’t/ But… I know he wanted anyone who’s ever supported his work and or got to know him as a friend to read this letter.”

BILLY MILLER WON THREE DAYTIME EMMYS FOR HIS WORK IN SOAPS
Billy Miller was one of the most respected actors to ever grace the daytime screens for his portrayals as Richie Novack on All My Children from 2007-2008 and Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless from 2008 until 2014 and of course, his final soap stop on General Hospital. He also appeared on primetime’s Ray Donovan and Suits.
TOUCHING GOODBYE LETTER AFTER EXITING GENERAL HOSPITAL
Here now, is what Billy shared in his letter after exiting GH: “Hello, friends… With a slight air of sadness it is time to ponder what ‘goodbye’ means. However, instead of dwelling on what is gone and sure to be missed, there is another way.”
“Maybe our goodbye is really a remembrance of love felt, an appreciation for lives shared and the lifelong reminiscences that come from embraces given and received, Maybe our goodbye is an earnest hope for the brightest path forward for us all,” expressed Miller. “Maybe our goodbye is honoring growth and lessons learned.”
The beloved star added, “Now, instead of sadness, I am filled with gratitude for all your support, encouragement and every emotion shared. I cherish the journey we have taken together, Thank you for allowing me into your homes and lives. With every ounce of myself, I thank you for being you. I would be remiss in this crazy, unpredictable world we all love so much if I did not hold out the possibility that maybe our goodbye is really… until next time.”
Sadly, Billy died by suicide three years ago on September 15, 2023, just two days shy of what would have been his 43rd birthday. You can check out Kelly’s post below.
Now, share your remembrances today of Billy Miller and the touching letter he wrote after leaving General Hospital, that Kelly Monaco posted in tribute to her friend and co-star via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Chase Walks Out on Brooklyn, Anna and Valentin Share Poignant Moments as She Urges Him to Go to Carly

The Wednesday, September 16, episode of General Hospital provided the tipping points in the marriage of Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard), the case of Jack Brennan, where Agent Baines (Alimi Ballard) arrested Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) deep love for each other on display, even though Anna didn’t want Valentin to do anything to destroy his burgeoning relationship with Carly (Laura Wright).
Let’s take a look at what went down. First, Brook Lynn’s world is rock when Chase announced he was moving out of the Q’s. As he packed (his one duffel bag?), Brook Lynn begged him not to leave. However, no matter what solution she came up with, Chase shot her down explaining that the trust issues between them is bigger issue than her family and their love for one another.
As they talked about mistrust, Chase says that Brook Lynn lied about framing Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) despite swearing there were no more lies between them. Then, Chase reveals he had spoken to Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about a legal separation to a stunned BLQ. Chase said he had concerns if it would effect their adoption of Phoebe, which Alexis assured Chase it would not.

Somehow, Brook Lynn manages to convince Chase to hold off on filing the legal separation paperwork. She wants him to figure out for himself if he feels their marriage is worth saving, by taking some time with it. After he leaves, Brook Lynn breaks down and cries.
THE WSB DESTROYS MINDS
In the pick-up of Tuesday’s episode, Carly (Laura Wright) shows up at Anna’s front door and finds Valentin there when he opened the door. Carly saw Anna inside and then took off.
However, Valentin is so worried for Anna and how the WSB had broken her. It’s something he understands and relates to and hates seeing the woman he loves deeply and always will, in such a state. Initially, he said they should go away together. Anna instead told Valentin to go after Carly and explain to her that he was just visiting her to take care of a friend.
Anna phoned Felicia to come sit with her, so Valentin could salvage his relationship with Carly. Once Felicia arrives, and Valentin left, Anna shared to her best friend that no one understood her better than Valentin who had seen her though the years in some of her worst moments. However, Anna says she cannot lean on him any longer, and that she would always love him. Now, it’s time for he and Carly to be together because he deserved happiness.

Courtesy/ABC
Valentin heads back to Carly’s and sees her with a glass of red wine. Valentin wants to explain, but Carly wants to respect Anna’s privacy. She explains she had gone to see Anna after seeing Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and her daughter Josslyn (Eden McCoy) in a fight over Anna’s situation.
Carly fears Josslyn could one day end up like Anna. Valentin explains that Anna’s downfall was linked to Cesar Faison, so it would be unlikely that Josslyn would suffer the same fate.
In a very adult conversation, Valentin tells Carly he believes Anna will get back up from this, and land on her feet and he hoped that one day she can find some peace, just like he has now with Carly. Throughout all the scenes that played out featuring Anna, Valentin and Carly, James Patrick Stuart played it all to perfection.
YOU’RE UNDER ARREST
Finally, while Ava (Maura West) and Nina are at the Metro Court Gardens, Agent Baines shows up and handcuffs Nina for the disappearance, possible murder, of Jack Brennan. Nina screams that she did not to it while she is being dragged away which is also witnessed by her ex Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
So, what did you think of Chase walking out on Brook Lynn? Do you hope he files separation papers and eventually gets out of Brook Lynn’s life for good, since one can assume he will be headed back Willow’s way? What did you think of the Anna/Valentin scenes? Do you hope they end up together down the road, or would like to see Valentin remain with Carly? And, now that Nina is arrested for Jack’s disapperance, will the real culprit reveal themselves? Let us know in the comment section, but first check out a preview for today’s Thursday, September 17 episode via the official GH video tease below.
