GH’s Cameron Mathison Makes Bold Prediction for 2025; Drew and Willow are “Super Couple in the Making”

Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) is far from anyone’s favorite person on General Hospital. The guy has displayed manipulative and selfish moves and motives in his business career, political aspirations and with the women in his life.

On recent episodes of General Hospital, Drew and Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) night of passion was exposed by Tracy (Jane Elliot) to the entire Q family, causing a major uproar. Willow left with the kids and went to Nina’s (Cynthia Watros). Michael (Chad Duell) let her leave with his children, for now. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Michael are plotting to bring Drew down and for him to lose control of Aurora. Meanwhile, Drew can’t leave Willow well enough alone, as much as she protests he needs to stay away from her.

During last weekend’s Christmas-Con, Soap Hub’s Bryan Beckley caught up with Mathison and asked him about what his hopes are for Drew in 2025.  Cameron shared, “I’d like Drew to mend his relationship with Curtis.” He then added, “Are you ready for this? I would like Drew and Willow to take it to the next level. They love each other, well, Drew loves Willow. I’m not sure that Willow is 100% sold on Drew yet.”

“I think it’s like a super couple in the making. I know everybody’s going to think I’m nuts, but just wait. You guys are going to love Willow and Drew, eventually,” predicted Cameron. Drew’s behavior has made a 180-degree turn over recent months from the way the character’s emotional make-up used to be portrayed. Mathison shared the rationale, “Drew has kind of a different perspective these days, from having almost dying in prison, and doing it for Carly (Laura Wright), then Carly dumping him and the Quartermaines trying to get rid of him”

Photo: ABC

Later, Cameron likened the coupling of Drew and Willow to that of the iconic Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis), expressing, “Think about how Luke and Laura started?” It was back in 1979. Luke’s “seduction” of Laura was eventually deemed as rape although the on-screen moment was fraught with controversy. Even with that plot point, Luke and Laura eventually became soap opera’s all-time favorite couple. Cameron pointed out that Luke and Laura became, “the ultimate supercouple, so you never know.”

Now let us know, can you see a 2025 where GH fans, who have been often outraged and angry over Drew and Willow, turning around and accepting them and get behind the couple? Share your thoughts via the comment section.

The comparison to Luke and Laura is so disrespectful to the legacy they made.

The only fair comparison would be with Sonny and Emily- another disgusting mismatch. The fact that Cameron is plugging this makes me hate his character all the more.

This!!!! It’s “Soily” pt 2

Sonny-Emily is either #1 or #2 is stomach turning couples with Luke-Felicia taking the other top spot. Edward-Heather is in the top (or bottom) 5 (especially since it was during Jed Allan’s brief tenure. Let’s throw Drew-Willow in there. That leaves one spot in the 5. Nominees:
Lucky-Siobhan
Courtney-Anyone
Carly- Franco
Jenny-Paul

I’d have to say Carly & Frodd was especially disgusting, considering what the real Franco did to Jason & Michael. It’s unthinkable that Carly would be with him.. Of course Elizabeth being with him wasn’t much better, considering real Franco also kidnapped baby Aiden.

No way! Willow
And Drew will never be Luke&Laura

Like didn’t bump nasties with Laura’s mother,I don’t think?

A legacy of [date] r*pe? Sure.

Scott – there was no “date”. She was married to Scotty and Luke took advantage of her in the closed disco.

I’m aware there was no date, but so many revisionists have tried re-claiming it as a “date r*pe” to try and excuse it. It was a disgusting pairing, and one I have never/will never respect/support.

If we’re getting technical: Actually during that storyline, the phrase they kept using during Laura’s group therapy was “acquaintance rape”. It may be one of the first times a show depicted the confusion and needless guilt a person suffers if they knew their abuser. Anyway, the story played out over a year as it changed into a redemption and forgiveness story before reaching supercouple status. I’m not excusing or condoning it. But at least it was a slow moving story allowing for character development. In less than a year, we have Drew sleeping with Willow and most of the familial women in her life. It’s ridiculous. If Nelle and Harmony were alive he’d probably sleep with them too it seems.

By super does he mean super gross? Super delusional? NO one likes them as a couple.NO ONE.

I agree! Hate, hate, hate them as a couple

Agreed. I thought he was going away? I wish he would just leave already!!

Supper ridiculous as well

Boy, he is quite full of himself. He’s crossed the line and doesn’t realize how much the pairing (and his character in particular) are disliked.

The real (not so bold) prediction is he’ll be gone from the show by the end of 2025.

The lack of self awareness is appalling. Is he watching the same show we are?

Their relationship is creepy – he’s too old for her and giving off a creepy vibe

Thank you!

Willow is supposedly “31” and Drew is supposedly “51”. Twenty-year age difference isn’t that bad.

It’s a switch for Mathison, who 15 years ago was on the end of the age spectrum for the the ill-fated Ryan Lavery-Erica Kane pairing.

Speaking of AMC, I’m old enough to remember when Stuart Chancellor fell in love with the much younger Cindy. It was a beautiful, heart breaking romance. Age is not a factor when the emotions behind the romance are pure and true. Such is not the case for Slick Drew and Gullible Willow.

It actually is. Twenty years is still a creepy age difference, on and offscreen.

He’s old enough to be her father. When you factor in that he has slept with Willow’s mother, her mother-in-law, AND he’s Michael’s uncle, what you get is a sleaze ball who has crossed all at least 4 boundaries. For a lack of a better word, Cameron’s Drew is just ICKY!!

You’ve got that right!!

I disagree; my parents were 13 years apart. They’re adults. Get over it.

I should not have mentioned age at all but rather focused on the creepy dynamics of their relationship. My apologies.

Fair enough. Before this sorry mess, one of the cringiest things on GH was the thankfully brief “relationship” between Sonny & Emily Quartermaine.

It wasn’t so much the age difference that made it icky, but more the fact that Sonny was doing Jason’s little sister.

And Jason doing Sonny’s little sister Courtney was almost as bad, though at least they were closer in age. Either one seemed almost “incestuous” even though Sonny & Jason aren’t actually related.

As Carly said, he wanted someone who would put him first and he didn’t care if it was his nephew’s wife. He looks WAY to old for her. Once Willow goes through another drama and another knight in shining armor comes along, Drew will be a distant memory.

Yep and flat out nasty!

Go away Drew & Willow. Never liked this Drew-too full of himself-cocky bastard. And Willow-ugh, Weak, wimpy character. Would love Michael with Sasha but . . .

I am thinking Sasha and Jason would make a great couple.

Looks like that is the potential new pairing, per yesterday’s episode. Could be interesting since there are a massive number of rooms throughout the Q mansion, though I miss her with Cody. Strange fact, there are two states in the Union that allow 1st cousins to marry – New York and Colorado – I know because I live in NY and have neighbors who did such, and now have a very sweet young family. Sasha and Cody didn’t grow up together so it is more about the DNA.

Cody and Lulu would make a good couple

No thank you. We don’t need to ruin Jason by having another of Michael’s uncles sleep with another one of his baby mamas/exes. Jason wouldn’t do that. Give them age appropriate love interests.

I agree 100 percent Jason wouldn’t do that anyways…love Jason whipped Drew’s as* loved Jason did that…drew sickens me now ew

♥️

I can see Jason with someone like Portia. I know people probably like they don’t do scenes together or even someone like Jordan. She used to be a cop undercover FBI agent. Why not? She know the life and she know how to play

Yes,Jason and sasha,great together.

I agree

Yes me too

I would tell Hallmark Drew to go to Hell, but nobody down here wants him either.

You mean Jesus Network Drew. 😉

Yes, he has since moved on to the network that makes sappy Hallmark style movie.

And working with CCB (whose name I refuse to spell-out, and will spare this site the explicit name I use instead). He should stick to that network, and leave General Hospital. It’s overdue.

I call her network (and her) “Candy Cam” (at one point they were showing reruns of Perry Mason, and I got hooked before I realized it was her network, which I would never have willingly watched; I’ve since found another place to watch them), because that’s the only printable thing I can call it. So many others come to mind.

Candy Cam’s in a special class of odiousness, having elevated sanctimonious hypocrisy to new levels. She shouldn’t bother me as much as she does, given how many other odious people there are who are about to be in positions of real power who can do so much more damage, but I just can’t bear her.

As for Mr. Mathison–what is the man smoking? Seriously, he thinks Willow and Drew have Luke and Laura potential? To quote Julia Sugarbaker, “Trust me when I tell you that you have completely misunderstood the situation.”

Does anybody even like Willow and Drew? For that matter, does anybody like his version of Drew?

Fascinating thread. I had to do some sleuthing to figure out to whom you were alluding. I agree completely. These are the types who think The Handmaiden’s Tale is set in a Utopian Society and not a Dystopian Society.

Half that post got cut off. And it was the relevant half which mentioned why Cameron’s current employer is worse than Hallmark.

The lack of self-awareness from Cameron Mathison is stunning. I haven’t seen a character more universally disliked by the fans than his Drew, and a storyline more hated than Drew and Willow on GH in many years. And this guy has the gall to compare them to Luke and Laura, the greatest super couple in soap history. Sorry Cameron, you’re no Tony Geary and Katelynn MacMullen is no Genie Francis. Not on your best day. Not even close.

The way he says “You guys are going to love Willow and Drew, eventually”, like guess what, we’re continuing with this story whether you like it or not, we’re gonna keep cramming it down your throat, so you better get on board. Talk about not being able to read the room.

Sing it Dan! Drew is a demented Ken doll that needs to be shipped back to Mattel!

Pretty boy be buggin

What the hell has he been drinking??!! Drew and Willow are NO Luke and Laura! The storyline I see for him is a whodunnit, with him being the victim. Everyone in town hates him! They should have kept the characters of Dex and Sam and dropped Drew!

Lee, I bet you’re right. I predict Willow, after finding out that Drew has been sleeping with her mother, will kill him. And Nina will take the fall for it ( think Mildred Pierce). Willow is not mentally sound and she’s heading for a fall.

I can see that!

wow I don’t think he knows how dislike Drew is, and its not like older men and younger women is something new, I don’t really think that’s the primary component, for me its they don’t have chemistry, he’s slept with her mom, she’s his nephew wife and while on paper it may sound juicy soap opera drama, on screen its not playing out that way, I don’t see them and want to root for them to be together, he comes across like a creepy obsessed old guy in love with himself and this younger women that sees him as some hero. The only thing I’m enjoying right now is his downfall and when the fabulous Tracy pounds on him, Love Tracy.

Even Ric sees it as seen when he took one look at Drew and Willow and quipped to Ava,” Wow. And people say I’m sleazy.”

This man is delusional if he thinks Drew and Willow will become a fan favorite. The are the most hated couple in daytime. I’m fairly certain 100% of GH fans do not like them and about 99% hate him as Drew. Worst recast ever!
Just do the fan base favor and have Drew end up at GH with an IV.

Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!

Between this disgusting storyline and the departure of Robert Scorpio, I’m barely hanging on to GH these days. And why is nobody wondering about what happened to Scott Baldwin? These writers have no respect for either decency or legacy characters. At least we saw some glimpses of the old Tracy this week!

I so agree, hope the writers or someone at General Hospital see these blogs or someone writes them to tell #FrankValentini and #ABC #Disney they don’t like this storyline and it needs to go, or risk alienating more viewers! It’s one thing thing to get rid of legacy characters (Scott, Robert. Sam), or write off fan favs (Dex, Diane), but to split up fav gh couples due to crazy “relative- reveal SLs (Cody n Sasha smh ), or having married couples not only cheat on each other but with people the fans don’t like them with (Michsel with hid ex, Sasha, Willow with her uncle-in-law, Drew gross)!

That didn’t go over well.

If he thinks that drew and willow will be the next supercouple he is out of his mind to compare him and willow to luke and laura no one in the world will ever except them michael is to good for willow he should be with sasha they never should have broken up.

Totally agree. Michael and Sasha should get back 2gther

Cameron is 55 the actress that plays Willow is 29. This pairing is gross and disgusting.

Let’s stop playing the ageist card.

It’s not ageist to point out how creepy this storyline is. A 26 year age difference is always creepy, both on and offscreen.

As someone who has many times in my life been attracted to considerably older men,* I can’t tell you how lovely it is to hear you think some of the nicest crushes and relationships I’ve had were “always creepy.” Thanks for that! (By the way, just out of curiosity: what is the maximum age difference between two members of a couple that you think is not “always creepy”? Twenty years? Ten? Five? Two? Is the number the same or different if the woman is the older partner?)

I agree with you that the storyline is creepy and that Drew and Willow as a couple are creepy, but they’re creepy for so many other reasons, not the age difference.

As Scott (ATWT fan) said, please stop playing the ageist card. There are so many things wrong with the relationship; the age difference isn’t even on my top 20 list of concerns.

*Disclaimer: Even my youngest, most inexperienced self would not have been attracted to this version of Drew. He’s skeevy to the nth degree. Eeeewwwww, no. (Now the Billy Miller version . . .)

As Scott (ATWT fan) said, please stop playing the ageist card. There are so many things wrong with the relationship; the age difference isn’t even on my top 20 list of concerns.

Same. People get so hung up on age, as if Willow is some school girl in love with her middle-aged teacher. They’re both [consenting] adults. Age is at the bottom of reasons why this “relationship” is not one to root for.

Beautifully written, Michael and Scott. I should have just focused on the nearly incestuous dynamics of the Drew and Willow relationship and kept age out of it. My apologies.

It’s not ageism, it just realizing how you were when a person was born.. if you can’t see Drew ( Cameron ) being 26 yrs old when Willow was born.. then to each their own value system I guess.. sorry, but it is creepy for me

THEY ARE NOT BORN! They are FICTIONAL CHARACTERS, and even if they were… it still wouldn’t be creepy. Again, my parents were 13 years apart. It happens. And it IS ageist. VERY ageist.

You often take any reality out of any article when it suits your comment. Right.. Willow was hatched. If you’re happy with a partner twice your age..by all mean..enjoy!

I love Cameron but not as Drew. He and Willow are no Luke and Laura!

The terrible writing isn’t his fault but he shouldn’t try to defend it either. I know he needs to keep his job and make nice with tptb, but this was not a good move. He’s better off being quiet.

Oh my.. Sonny was not happy when he found out Willow slept with Drew..let’s hope the writers have Sonny shot Drew dead just like Agent Cates !

They are saying now that it wasn’t Sonny that shot Cates.

That whole story just seems to have been dropped and forgotten too

Have a great Christmas Violet, and a Happy New Year too.

No way. It’s creepy.

I think Cameron must have had a blow to the head to “recall” that Carly dumbed Drew. It was the other way around. No spinning that. And to compare Drew and Willow to Luke and Laura is like daytime sacrilege. WTH?! Dream on McDuff!

Yep he dumped Carly very swiftly.

Yes he did.

This whole ” speed dating” Willow and Drew seems so hollow. They will never be a super couple !! The comparison to Luke and Laura is beyond ridiculous. We couldn’t wait to see what was next for Luke and Laura. With Willow and Drew we can’t wait until Nina blows it up and to end it. We love Michael, not Drew and Willow.

Oh Cameron I think viewers recognize the 2 stories can’t be compared. Luke’s raping Laura ended up essentially becoming a redemption story which took a long time to play out. Drew has shagged Willow’s mom as well as her mother-in-law. The viewers have spoken. It’s sickening to think about. And I won’t even get into the other reason the 2 stories can’t be compared. (Better actors and better writing.)

Don’t like his attitude and sly dog ways.

I know that he’s just trying to sell this storyline, which is his job, but this is not it. lol

No way in hell!! I can’t wait to see Willow’s face when she finds out Nina was sleeping with Drew before her!!!!!

I’m sorry, Cameron, but drew is so nasty for pursuing his nephew’s wife and thinking he done nothing wrong. He’s a piece of trash

This guy is making us hate Drew all the more. He is too old for Willow, and the two of them
Illicit feelings of revulsion that wash over viewers. Willow is acting brainwashed and is completely delusional about this sleaze ball. The very act of going to Nina’s place to be close to Willow is revolting and demonstrates the fact that he has no moral compass. Drew, get ye to Washington where you can rub elbows with your ilk- morally bankrupt creeps who have no sense of decency.

Used to like him on AMC but his iteration of Drew is a scumbag. Tracy is right to give him the treatment. Anything that was good about the character is quickly erased every time he darkens the screen. Go away fake Drew and never come back

They are a gross couple. I can’t stand either character.

Heck no! Drew is a major scumbag. You cannot compare him to Luke. Luke/Laura started out as assault. But Laura did love Luke from the beginning. Willow has no brain cells. Michael messed up too. But this Willow/Drew thing is crap.

If that happens I’m going to stop watching it’s gross gross gross and you’re nothing like the super couple Luke and Laura don’t ever put yourself in that category again

If that happens I will stop watching I can’t stand Cameron matherson as it is and to put him with a beautiful Willow 20 years all he’s doing is stalking her yuck yuck yuck

Their relationship gave me cult feelings towards it. She acts like she’s a groupie over him and she has no opinion about anything that is going on The first thing I would do if I had a affair I would not want to be around a person that everyone know I had an affair with.

How dare he compare Luke and Laura to Drewand Willow. He should be next!
Suicide because of shame

No Drew needs t stay away from willow. She is married to Michael. Drew ruined that. What he did is wrong and now marriage is in jeopardy. Hopefully, they will get back together.

They have changed Willow and Drew’s characters so drastically they are impossible to like. They will definitely not be a super couple!

As far as I am concerned Drew, Nina, Natalia, and Porsche can all go . I guess it’s back to fast forwarding through scenes with Drew and Willow kinda like what I do with Nina, Natalia, and Porsha

I’m done, this storyline is thrash!

He slept with her mom. Can’t stand him. They are not Luke and Laura. Needs to go to Washington and stay there!

Don’t think so!!! You look like your old enough to be her father. Come on GH

I don’t know how this is all going to end up should be interesting

No way should Drew and Willow ever become a couple… She is a cheating bit.. and he is a low life bastard…

I SURE HOPE NOT

There will never be another Luke and Laura, however I actually can see a few similarities. 1) Luke was originally brought into GH to break up Scotty and Laura (they were married); 2) Scotty considered Luke a friend and never thought that it was Luke who had violated his then wife; 3) Luke was older than Laura (who was very naive); 4) Finally, Luke was the first anti-hero. He often did heroic things but his motives were not always pure. While he had lasting friendships with Robert Scorpio (WSB/Police Commish), he also help create the mob empire that his friend, Sonny now rules over. Just saying, there are a few similarities…

Your comparison works 40 years down the road from now. A legacy is not born overnight and self elevation does not help create it.

GH would still be better off to offer Tony Geary everything he’d want to make a return.

I do see the similarities, but if that’s what TPTB are counting on (apparently Mr. Mathison is), let’s also look at some key differences: (1) Luke, even at his worst, had rootability on his side, both because of some solid writing (which this storyline so far does not have) and because Tony Geary tapped into something the audience could relate to (heaven knows I did not approve of the attempt to rewrite the rape, even back then, but there was no denying that Luke was tortured and had demons, and Geary was often fascinating and even heartbreaking to watch); (2) the audience already adored Laura, who’d been through hell to get Scotty; (3) the story was told back in the days when soaps trusted their audiences to follow a story that unfolded slowly, and we were given time to buy into the romance and the bond between Laura and Luke, with writing that at least tried to handle the complexities of the situation, but the chances that we’ll be given that kind of time and that level of complex writing, in the current environment, are pretty small; (4) TG and Genie Francis had chemistry that was off the charts, whereas I’m just not seeing that with this pairing; and (5) TPTB were playing into a chemistry that already existed rather than trying to manufacture it; there’s a difference between agonizing over characters’ suffering, even when you recognize that their own behavior has created it, because you like the characters, and being asked to like characters because they’re suffering the consequences of their own appalling behavior.

I’m wondering, now that you’ve brought it up, if TPTB are thinking that because audiences loved Luke and love Sonny and love Jason, none of whom could be considered a typical soap hero, they’re going to grow to love Drew. That’s putting a big burden on the talents of Mr. Mathison, who was likable enough on AMC but hasn’t shown me–at least so far–that he’s an acting heavyweight in the league of Geary, Maurice Benard, or Steve Burton. (Billy Miller might have pulled this storyline off, though it’s a little hard to imagine his version of Drew caught up in such an unsavory, unpalatable situation, whereas I have no trouble at all believing that Mathison’s Drew is where he is.)

Lotsa luck with that, TPTB.

Very well said.

Willow and Drew are a far cry from Luke and Laura, paalllease!!!!!!

Never! I will delete GH from my watchlist if they do that!!! I have been a Fan for over 40 years and that would cause me to STOP WATCHING!!! Remove Drew from the cast entirely!!!

So many people complaining. I guess the “it’s a soap,” needs to be said yet again. Big age differences are not a big deal on soaps as long as all are adults. In real life, Brandon Barash (ex Johnny Z) is 44 and his wife is around 23. I think it’s crazy; ridiculous, BUT, it happens. We can look at a lot of examples in fiction and in real life. So the Drew/Willow thing or even the possibility of a Jason/Anna thing (which is only an age difference of about 9 years) is just complaining over nothing.

As for the story? It’s pure soap. This version of Drew is despicable; the character has been completely rewritten. But once we accept that and realized Billy’s Drew is gone, this Drew can be enjoyed for lowlife he’s become. The Drew/Willow story will be, if written well, fun. There will be fallouts from all corners…stuff soaps are made of.

“If written Well”. No chance of that with this current team.

Oh Rebecca1!

I now heed your prior warnings not to engage with that nasty one.

Thanks!

Drew will evetually get back with Lulu and drop Willow who will.be Alone with Michael in jail.
When it comes out Michael impregnated Willows friend, it’s all over for Willow and MI hall by then Drew will be with Lulu

HUH?! Drew & Lulu were never together. Do you even watch the show? Your comment makes zero sense……………

Please don’t put willow and drew together it’s a bad idea, an writers of gh don’t send Micheal to jail give him and willow second chance they bin so much and uncle drew should pay the price for breaking up there marriage!

The strongest family couple on the show is Sonny & Carly Corinthos. Besides the Laura and Luke couple.
These two have a natural connection, and its definitely caring.
Willow and Michael could have been the next super duper
couple, they love each other and their children,
Drew and Willow, Negative for millions of viewers.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Michael Gets Willow Right Where He Wants Her, Curtis is Found Guilty and Sentenced to Prison

Published

on

By

Michael and Willow

The Thursday, August 13 episode of General Hospital gave us just what Michael (Rory Gibson) was going to do to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), now that he had the goods on her that she shot Drew, the verdict in the Curtis (Donnell Turner) vs. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) case, and left us with Trina (Tabyana Ali) alone with her stalker nearby. Let’s take a look at how it all went down!

When Willow arrived at the Quartermaines to pick up Wiley and Amelia, she was stopped in her tracks when Michael confronted her armed with the truth that she shot Drew (Cameron Mathison) twice in the back. She denies it. However, Michael pulls out of an envelope signed affidavits from Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina, explaining they were at Drew’s house that night and have proof.

Michael explains her ring tone went off on her phone while she was getting ready to shoot Drew, and it was a match for Wiley’s. Kai and Trina heard the same ringtone at the courthouse when she stood trial for attempted murder. Willow threw the fact that she can’t be tried again in a court of law because of double jeopardy. However, Michael stopped her ranting and says double jeopardy doesn’t apply in family court.

HOW MICHAEL GOT THE UPPER HAND ON WILLOW

Now, Michael is ready to expose her crime. Suddenly, Willow grabs the rolling pin on the counter to strike Michael, but he is able to block her. Michael tells Willow she either accepts the arrangement he is about to tell her, or she will never see her children again. Willow tries to counter that Jacinda drugged her and she can prove it. However, Michael lets it be known that Jacinda is long gone with no forwarding address.

Next, Michael tells Willow she can remain a part of their children’s lives and he will keep their current custody arrangement as long as she moves back into the gatehouse. Willow hates the gatehouse, but knows she has no other option, so she says she will pack up her things at Nina’s and move in.

GUILTY!

At the courthouse, the jury has reached a verdict in the case of Curtis vs. Isaiah. When the jury comes back before the court, the jury foreperson shares, “We find the defendant, Curtis Ashford, guilty of second-degree assault and battery.” In lieu of the verdict, the judge sentences Curtis to ten years in prison at Pentonville with the possibility of parole in two years.

Curtis’ attorney Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tells his client he has gotten him 48 hours before he had to report to prison, and planned to file an appeal with the courts on the verdict. Curtis then says heartfelt goodbyes with Trina and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), before heading over to Portia’s (Brook Kerr) to see his newborn son, Desmond knowing he will not see him for quite a long time.

WHO’S THE STALKER?

Trina and Kai are at now at Bobbie’s. They talk about her father going to prison, and Trina is channeling her feelings into her songwriting. Kai decides to let Trina be by herself so she can focus and he won’t be a distraction. However, after Kai makes his exit, someone is looking through the windows at Bobbie’s and targeting Trina. But who? We fade to black.

So, what did you think about Michael having the goods on Willow and knowing she shot Drew? Were you happy about how he used the information to gain the upper hand to get her to move back into the Quartermaines gatehouse? Were you hoping for a different outcome? Are we just a short time away from Michael and Willow being back together as a couple after everything that has happened? Then, what did you think of the verdict in Curtis’ case? Glad he going away to prison for what he did? Do you care, or do not really care? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

‘General Hospital’s’ Carlo Rota Shares His Run as Sidwell Has NOT Come to an End

Published

on

By

Carlo Rota

After General Hospital viewers learned this week from Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was sentenced to 31 years in prison with a possibility for parole in 26 years for all of his crimes (after he had taken a plea deal with the Port Charles court system), fans were wondering the status of Rota with the show.

With so many recent on-screen exits, GH viewers were concerned that Rota was the next casualty, although his character of Sidwell deserves to be put a way for life, it appears we may see him back, and from his jail cell. Could he wind up being the cellmate of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), who on today’s August 13 episode was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a possibility of parole for two years, for physically attacking Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson)? Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, Sidwell’s portrayer, Carlo Rota gave a clue as to his character’s whereabouts during his General Hospital Fan Club Weekend event, along with his wife Nazneen Contractor (Justine, GH), according to a report from Soap Central.

Carlo Rota

Photo: ABC

WHAT IS SIDWELL’S FUTURE AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH HIS BUSINESS HOLDINGS?

Rota told the crowd in attendance that Sidwell will soon be seen in Pentonville and his scenes will also include another familiar face from the Port Charles canvas. Could it be Curtis or someone else yet to be thrown into the slammer? Carlo teased, “I am in prison with another character from the show. We share a cell.”

The last time anyone saw Jenz Sidwell was back on the July 6 episode when he was in the interrogation room at the PCPD and tried to make a deal with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).

The deal was that he wanted Jordan to get her hands on his money from his offshore bank accounts and in return, he can get her hooked up with the best plastic surgeon in the world (the one in Germany that Michael went to) and she can jump ahead over the waiting list. However, Jordan turned him down flat, although the thought of fixing her face still weighs heavily upon her.

GH viewers first met Sidwell, the newest villain in town to go up against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for the his territory, back in August of 2024.

Flash-forward to late summer of 2026, there has been plenty of talk by Sonny and now Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to take over Sidwell’s business holdings that will be up for auction, most likely setting the stage for Drew and Sidwell to be in cahoots, or some other shenanigans to get back at Sonny.

So, are you glad to know that there will be more Sidwell on the way soon? Do you wish the character would just already be off the canvas for good? Glad that Curtis got 10-year prison sentence, or don’t care? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

James Franco (ex-Franco, GH), who has been trying to make a comeback of sorts, is now starring in Love, Lies and Frank, a new vertical drama for Shortical. Love Lies and Frank is among the first microdramas produced under the new SAG-AFTRA agreement verticals agreement.

The two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner, and former General Hospital guest star is sharing the vertical screen with mainstay microdrama stars, Eric Guilmette and Neela Jolene.

In story, Love, Lies and Frank follows Jimmy Frank (Franco), the CEO of a high-powered ad agency. A man with confidence and humor but marred with risk and unresolved consequence, Jimmy navigates running his company while also dealing with criminal and supernatural underworld threats. Meanwhile, one of Jimmy’s ambitious employees, Daniella Hanson (Jolene), lands her dream campaign and reignites a forbidden romance with her eccentric boss’s stepbrother Cameron Frank (Guilmette), forcing her to choose between the career she’s fought for and the love she’s been hiding.

JAMES FRANCO HEADLINES A MICRODRAMA

Guy Shimoni, CEO of Shortical said of adding James Franco to the cast, “Hollywood is beginning to embrace vertical storytelling in a meaningful way. To see a talent like James Franco headlining an original microdrama is an important milestone for the industry. We at Shortical are proud to be setting the standard by bringing world-class talent, filmmakers, and stories to audiences in an entirely new way, proving that premium entertainment can thrive in a mobile-first world.”

Love, Lies & Frank is directed by Eric Wang Schwager, written by Melissa Lynn Moore and produced by Knockout Shorts with Peter Gold of Gold Films. No AI generated performances or digital replicas were used in the production, which has been a recent move by several vertical short companies.

Matthew Ko, Co-Founder and CEO of Knockout Shorts added, “Love, Lies & Frank was a really fun collision of worlds. It gave us the opportunity to play with the conventions of the genre, and subvert them just enough without losing sight of what audiences already love about these stories. The goal was always to make something that felt both familiar and completely unexpected.”

THE ARTIST KNOWN AS FRANCO ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

General Hospital fans will recall it was back in 2009, that James Franco, played the artist known as “Franco” who was fixated on death and became a main villain of the show and nemesis to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). At the time, James Franco explained about his GH alter-ego. “Franco works in a lot of different ways. He does graffiti, performances, photographs. He creates installations based on murder scenes featuring murders he possibly was involved with. He’s interested in pushing the boundaries of art – both aesthetically and ethically – and he will go way too far.”

James played “Franco” for a few runs on the soap opera from 2009-2010 and again for stint from the fall of 2011 to early 2012. Later in 2013, the role of Franco was recast with Roger Howarth playing the role until 2021.

The last several years have been difficult for James Franco to find work in Hollywood, following a 2019 sexual misconduct scandal and abuse of power allegations of inappropriate behavior towards aspiring actresses at his now-defunct acting school, Studio 4. Franco settled a lawsuit for $2.2 million in 2021, later admitting he slept with students and addressing issues surrounding power imbalances. The actor maintained he did not open his acting school to lure women for sexual advances. Since the scandal broke in 2019, James has only appeared in five films and mostly from international distributors.

Love, Lies & Frank is now available exclusively on Shortical here.
